      That's being twisted around to make Vince look even worse than he does. His argument is that, just because the fans like something but it puts the performers safety at risk, doesn't mean it should be done, so therefore, it doesn't matter if they like it and he isn't necessarily wrong. I mean, how many pile drivers can you name in the last 15 years? 1 , CM Punk and John Cena and quite frankly, Paul London isn't the star they are. Also, this isn't a new topic either

      @@mba321I think what it is, the early Generation Xers was the last generation Vince rely on. But it wasn't just Vince the problem, it was people outside of wrestling also. The reason why I said this because I was born in 86. I remembered how when I first hit adulthood with me and my friends who was in the same age range had a hard time getting by because a lot of people from the previous generation despised us. When we first hung out at different clubs or bars, it was the Generation X that gives us sh*t. When me and my other employees (around the same age) were at work. Once we got a new manager (early Gen X), he started to fired all the millennials and kept the workers from the previous generation. I don't get what's the beef with people who were born from 70's and before had with the millennials in the 2000's.

    I can understand what Vince is saying. Especially at the time, the boys were still traveling a lot. If he’s hitting that move every night he’s bound to have a few legit injuries. Which would open the door for more high flyers wanting to push the limits. Kind of like what we see in AEW now. All the unnecessary risks on a night to night basis isn’t good for business. Or the longevity of the talents. But I also understands Londons take on him feeling like he can do it more safely than prior people….ESPECIALLY KIDMAN.

  • @dr6770
    @dr6770 7 месяцев назад

    lmao Bro I can't agree with Paul London on this. Vince was right on that move, Vince was looking out for this safety and the safety of the guy taking the move. Paul has the same mentality that wrestlers these days have where they just want to do flashy moves to get a pop without caring about the safety of themselves or others. It's for a cheap pop and act like they know everything. Just because they THINK they can perform it safely every time, they think it's ok to do. I"m with Vince on this one, safety comes first because it's these same guys who later in life want to complain that WWE does pay for the medical bills for injuries they went through while wrestling.

Kidman should have looked at others not just himself, he wasnt no warrior talent to have a exception to use the move

  • @LunaticReason
    @LunaticReason 8 месяцев назад

    I can partly understand not wanting London to do the move for safety reasons but its not like there werenr other wrestlers doing similarily dangerous moves so it seema like a bullshit reason. From a business aspect I can sorta see why. It seems that Vince wasnt a fan of the high flying crusierweight style. I remember most of my favorite Wrestlers were cruiserweights but it felt like they never got pushed or sidelined and then the divison eventually disappeared or got sidelined. As cool and exciting as it may be the one problem with high flying cruiserweights is longevity and its easier to book a safe boring match for their champions than have them risk injury to themselves or others. The funny thing now is its pretty much the fad for most wrestlers to do crazy spots at the expense of good ring psychology/storytelling. Another possibly of not wanting him to do it was actually knowing how much it would put him over with the fans and not wanting to push London.

    The sad thing is that we've regressed back to this time in WWE. Pritchard and Johnny Ace are back and up to their old tricks, ruining the product for anyone watching. And if you give a damn, they either job you out or take you off the card for weeks and sometimes months. And sometimes they simply label you hard to work with and then fire you, like Keith Lee or Killer Kross. It's no wonder Sasha Banks walked out last week. She's been a fan since she was a kid, she's not going to put up with this shit. And the rest of the roster is split into two halves and it's obvious to anyone watching. One half don't want to ruffle feathers because they've worked a decade or more to get there, and the other half doesn't care as long as they get paid. Anyone actually passionate has ether gotten fired or is trying to leave.

Think about it: 1) He suggest going straight to talk to Vince and power walk to his office, 2) Looks London dead in the eye and says "I got this", 3) under less than a minute Mcmahon says no and Dean says understood, have a nice day, and leaves London hanging there.
