I'm very tempted to add a dash switch to delete ABS in my 2001 GMC. I know I could just pull the fuse.
Have you seen traction control on these newer things. Sand stumps the computer. It work go anywhere.

I had a good laugh years ago when I worked in a small automotive shop I was having difficulty diagnosing a driving and cornering noise in a Prius so I lifted it up I’m on the 2 post lift so I could put it in gear and put a stethoscope to the wheel bearings and it was hilarious the car was FREAKING OUT not being on the ground and in gear. Hopping jerking clickityclacking oh man was the abs system pissed!

Question for you. 99 8.0l. Finding decent sensors for that beast is not possible. Only manufacturer is Walker and they only do 60 day warranty at $100 each. I'm on my 3rd in 8 months. Only run offroad ( not extreme) rarely highway. Do i have any other options? Will other sensors (specifically the crankshaft sensor) work with wire connection change? Thoughts thank you! Love my v10 and want to enjoy it while i build my custom 24v for it.

That crank sensor is mighty hard to come by, and iv heard many times now your story of the aftermarket ones repeatedly failing unfortunately. I preemptively got one from a local junk yard that was OE and have it in the glove box as a just in case. Wish I had a better answer for you, but that's the route I chose

@lilbonzia yeah tried that here but no v10s in the scrap yards here. It's the route I would go if possible! Used OE will probably last longer then these new ones and you could get 4 for the price of one lol. Guess I'm just gonna have to keep them on hand along with tools to replace on the road if needed. Thank you!
