What do you guys think of the first half of the board? Click on the link and download the Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest, take part in fantasy strategy battles: app.adjust.com/a6gai29
Definitely would love to see a scene of Eowyn confronting the Witch King. Always a badass scene
My goodness this board is going to be massive once it's done!!! Click on the link and download the Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest, take part in fantasy strategy battles: app.adjust.com/a6gai29
which tube gun glue are you using here for attaching the foam to foam and plastic? asking as i need to make a yarick power claw from layers of xpe foam and need to attach it together without using the toxic fumes fest that is silkabond paint on contact adhesive. that and start scratch building city ruins
You gotta really love what you do to spend so much time investing in to such a huge project like this! What are you going to do with yourself once you finally reach the end goal?!? I guess just move on to the rest of Middle Earth lol PS.. just made a Diorama of one of my favourite scenes, the fall of Boromir! Super happy with how it turned out :D
Yeah dude that's it, once Gondor is done it's onto Rohan.... anmd the rest of Middle earth
My favourite moment has to be the moment where Gandalf comforts Pippin with the image of the Grey Havens. That would be a beautiful diorama to make :)
You absolute madman, this looks absolutely incredible but not only it is HUGE, it's also just 1/3 of the final build?? Completely bonkers, totally redonculous, entirely humongous, just an average Zorpazorp tuesday. Thanks for sharing as always, dude. Much love from Spain
That final shot of all of the boards together was incredible! Great job!
So amazing seeing Osgiliath come alive and reborn again! I love the scene where Faramir is hiding behind a wall and several orcs get wrecked by the rangers
My favourite scene is any with Gollum in, the performance is great and the effects can still hold up to this day
My favorite scene is either the orc armies chanting “Grond!” or the charge of the Rohirrim. I can’t wait to see the resin pour!
My all time favorite scene is when Frodo cant continue on anymore and Sam tells him, "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you", such a great line and I feel like that line shows off the relationship that Sam and Frodo have together.
I really like the scene where Aragorn goes to meet the army of the dead, maybe, you could make a diorama with LEDs.
My favorite scene from the books is when the hobbits encounter the barrow downs and run afoul of the wight. It really sparked my imagination as a kid. In my late 20s early 30s, my favorite scene from the movies was the first time we saw the Balrog. It's still technically amazing. Now, near 50, my favorite scene is when old Bilbo lays his weary head against Frodo (weary in his own way) before departing Middle Earth. The old adventurer and the young veteran, aged beyond his years by the burden of duty. I feel it.
It's such a poignant scene isn't it. Truly powerful.
@@Zorpazorp Hey, just wanted to say thanks for being a stand up dude. As always.
- Sean
The scene where the hobbits hide in the tree roots from the black rider is absolutely iconic, be a great diorama.
Ya know, something just dawned on me. About a year and a half ago, when I first found you channel, when you posted the "Can STUPIDLY big terrain be playable?" video I left a comment about wanting to see 40k Battle Reports and stuff like that on the Minas Tirith board. It wasnt until I sat down and watched this video did I remember that comment and that you had replied, so I went back to check it out. IT NEVER EVEN DAWNED ON ME, EVEN AFTER WATCHING THE HH BATTLE REPORTS (Which Im loving btw) THAT YOU REFERENCED THE HH BATTLE REPORTS ALMOST A YEAR AND A HALF AGO! I honestly wish I wouldve remembered/noticed sooner, but better late than never! Keep up the fantastic work Locke, I absolutely love your videos!
Yeah we planned the Heresy campaign for about two years before it went live. Glad you enjoyed it mate.
A personal favorite of mine would be the Ithillien ranger ambush on the Haradrim, always such an awesome scene and pivotal turning point for Sam, Frodo and Gollum. Also gave us our first look at Faramir!
This is insane! You're a star for making all our dream builds come true!
My favorite moment, is that moment where Theodin gives that heroic speach, i get goose bumps everytime
There are a lot of great scenes in the movies, but the ones I'd make as a diorama often are not battle related:
- The fellowship wondering how to open Durin's Gate
- The hobbits hiding from the ring wraith in the shire
- Gollum dancing at the top of Mount Doom while Frodo and Sam watch helplessly
- Merry and Pipin smoking on top of the destroyed walls of Isengard as they greet their perplexed friends...
The siege of Helm's Deep is definitely my favourite scene. It's just so perfect.
I've always been a huge fan of the scene when Frodo gets taken by the orcs in Cirith Ungol and Sam rushes up to save him after they all fight each other. One of the best Sam moments for sure, plus orcs in-fighting is always fun.
The battle in Balin's tomb would make an amazing diorama I think. Great ability to show off lighting, multiple levels, and bunches of creatures against some iconic heroes
so good!!! gotta love when Theoden thinks they have the battle won and then he sees the mumaks!!! and just calls "reform the line"! could be a great mini diorama
My most favourite moment and perhaps most epic scene is that when army of orcs and With-King on drake are comming out of Minas Morgul. Absolutly love that, its awesome!!!
Amazing work as always. My favourite scene was the death of Boromir - that would make an awesome diorama!
My favorite moment is when the orcs are shooting at the Rohirim and that one Orc that looks really happy after shooting his arrow.
I love the Battle in Balin's Tomb. "Fool of a Took!!" One of my favorite lines!
One of my favorite scenes is when Aragorn summons the Army of the Dead and they lay waste to the orcs at Minas Tirith!
Gorgeous work on the city Lochie. Can't wait to see where it's going next.
My favorite scene might just be when the Hobbits are on the road, and they're hiding from the Witch-King under the log. It's an absolute masterclass in tension, and for the first time you really get a sense of the danger that our heroes are in.
My personal favorite scene is where saruman moves onto a balcony overlooking his Uruk-hai army, so i definately wanna see isengard sometime in the future 😊
One of my favourite scenes is the Moria staircase. It shows the depth of the dwarven architecture in their prime.
A cool diorama would be the scene where the hobbits are trapped by old man willow and Tom saving them. Really love the gnarly old forest esthetic.
My favorite scene is the fellowship passing through moria. A complete board for khazad dum would be sick
One of my favourite moments is when Merry and Pipin find out Saruman's Cellar and all the "Herbs" so funny that hoobit moment!! and a cool mini diorama!!!!
two scenes spring to mind that I’d like to make into a diorama. First, Gandalf as he rides through then cobbled streets of Minas Tirith, rallying the men of Gondor. Second would be the Uruk hai and orcs fighting the Ents around Isengard.
But to be fair, Lord of the Rings is just so evocative that any given moment could be made into a beautiful diorama.
As always a joy following your process and these massive scenery projects most of us dream about 😊
I absolutely love your videos and it has inspired me to restart my own collection after stopping years ago.
My favourite scene from LOTR isn't the most action heavy but when Sam Gamgee is giving his speech at the end of The Two Towers it always brings me tears.
I loved it so much we had it as a wedding reading when I got married a couple of months ago.
I'm not sure how well it would translate to a diorama but the scene just before could be remade exactly with the old Two Towers Frodo model and the Winged Nazgul flying in as well as Sam running in to save his master. Even Gollum could be hiding in the ruins and Faramir ready to let his arrow fly at the Nazgul. All while the Rangers and warriors of Gondor trade arrows with the orcs on the other side of the river. I would absolutely love to see that remade, and can be done on this amazing Osgiliath terrain.
Love the work, please keep it up!
Favourite single scene is when Aragorn walks into about 50+ urukhai without blinking an eye, straight after denying the will of the ring and saving Frodo
Favorite scene would have to be the the Death of Boromir in the woods of Parth Galen. Your build is looking amazing, as always!
I do like Sam coming up the stairs at the tower of Cirith Ungol going straight for those orcs. This would be a nice diorama I think.
Great work as always, buddy. My favorite scene gotta be when Gandalf and Pippin are standing on the balcony and are starring towards Minas Morgul, Gandalf smoking his pipe weed and Pippin leaning on the parapet. Greetings!
The skulls of the dead pouring out of the walls! Great diorama setting
Gandalf confronting and freeing Theoden from Saruman. V bitter sweet and a cool short burst of fistfighting between the three hunters and wormtounges cronies
My favorite scene is simple. Sam carrying Frodo the rest of the way up Mount Doom, incredibly powerful scene, and a great capstone to end the trilogy on, and would make a stellar mini diagram
Ooooooh good shout Annie!
I haven't watched the movies yet as I've decided to read all of the books first but when it comes to scenes that I think would make Diorama's I always loved Lothlorien and Rivendell. The way they were described was amazing! I would love to someday make a diorama myself of one of the two.
Your builds are always amazing to watch. Kudos for the great results so far, looking foward to the next video.
Another class video man, I'm getting really hyped about this board the nearer completion arrives. Been loving the amount of content recently man, thanks
I absolutly loved how you were able to use chunks of the factory-turned-Bastion as rubble inside it! It does so much imo in completing the look and avoiding the weirdness you get with rubble that looks nothing like the stuff around it.
Glad you like it Ryer! I do love a good bit of rubble :)
This was so awesome! Really have enjoyed these Osgiliath videos as they have helped me with my own build. Can't wait for the massive resin pour!
Love it! Really enjoy the insight into your inner thoughts when building these. Really helps understand decision making and is so much more interesting and helpful than just a step by step. Keep up the great work.
Yay for more Osgiliath gaming board building, love it! As for movie scenes, one I loved was Frodo and Sam looking at the Witch-king army marching out of Minas Morgul. Such a cool ambience!
Favourite scene for a diorama would be the halls of the dead, especially them escaping the flowing skulls. Loads of opportunities for motion in the diorama. Great video, nice to see things shaping up!
Yes definitely would be my pick
100% best scene is the Rohan charge. Just *chefs kiss*
You already did a game but a diorama of the charge impacting the orc lines would look sick.
This is an amazing build! Love the way you brought such an iconic location into the miniature world!
Wish there was a button for "like this a hell of a lot"! Just "like" doesn't do this justice - so inspirational!
Been watching for a couple years now and its crazy to see how this board has progressed! Keep it up dude! Inspiring for sure! Shelobs lair with all the twisting and turning of tunnels, covered in webs galore would be sweet!
My favorite moment is the second breakfast scene! My family always laughs at it.
The Rohan banner flying down from Meduseld and Eowyn to the three hunters + gandalf on the door of Edoras is an amazing moment in the films. Maybe the banner and our heroes at the door could be a great diorama! Your Edoras was amazing so.... 😉😉
More Edoras o nthe way too!!! ?Mmmm that's a good idea!
I love the scenes with Shelob in the tunnels- I reckon that would be an awesome diorama/skirmish type board. You could even design specific scenarios- eg, the player controlling Shelob is trying to kill and eat Frodo before the Orcs come along and interrupt etc
This is incredible! I want to start getting into diorama making, it seems like so much fun to put together some exciting set pieces.
I got back into building sceneries and boards, because of you. What an impressive work, again ! I especially enjoy the custom parts of the keep, and how you blend it !
Favorite scene is definitely King Théoden's speech at the Pelennor Fields. Forth Éorlingas!!!!
Dane and Brand battling Easterlings at the gate of the Lonely Mountain would be an awesome diorama of something never really shown and would be a challenge worthy of someone of your skill
Dáin II Ironfoot to be more specific and correct
When first I watched the extended edition, the seen where Faramir ponders the motivation and life of the dead Haradrim, immediately clicked with me, and changed my perception of the Haradrim. It is the very reason that I now has it as a joint part of my main Evil army (Umbar-Harad). That scene would be wonderful as a diorama: full of dead warriors, woodland and a fleeing Mumak perhaps aswell as the last fights and retreats being finished on the fringes, all the while smeagol observes the meeting of Frodo, Sam, Faramir and his rangers.
Sadly this is beyond me still.
Every update on this map is just absolutely stunning!! Your work is incredible
This is an amazing board. I actually found your channel because of your Osgiliath videos and it's great to see you coming back to it. I can already say it will be an amazing board to have games in.
As for a scene/diorama that I believe would be great?
The four hobbits standing near the little fire, in the middle of the ruins, five figures approaching them, darker than the darkness that surround them. I remember that scene from the first time I saw Fellowship in the cinema and it still gets me the chills.
"Rounding up the first half of the first third of this project"
Bilbo is so proud of you
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
My favorite scene that I want to see as a diorama would be the little canyon thing where the orcs and the Urks smell the man flesh.
Wow, this is immense! Love the Osgiliath battle in the films and this is shaping up to perfectly represent that, amazing.
Here I am, trying to get a small board ready for play and already feeling overwhelmed. But it's nothing compared to your epic, huge scene. Amazing. Lots of good information and tips that I can use myself. Keep it up!
Merry and pippin escaping the uruk hai v orc scuffle is a personal favourite! Loving the videos recently mate, really impressive quality!
Tremendous work as always
The boards placed with the river sections next to each other is breathtaking
Absolutely mind-blowing terrain. Can't wait to see it finished, but each video hepls to realize about the enormous dimension of the whole piece. Can't imagine how many hours of hard work. Once again, congratulations Lachlan!! Proud to contribute to the cause!
I can't imagine how much work and effort goes into some of these builds
Absolutely loving this project! So inspiring.
My favourite scene is in helm's deep where legolas shoots the dead uruk that gimli's sitting on
I'm AFK in the tower in Destiny 2 and the spooky Halloween sounds in the background really work for this video.
This is just about the coolest thing I’ve ever seen - what a board!!
Great work man. It's so cool to see coming together
It’s ridiculous exactly how much detail is put in to each of these makes. Only started watching your vids in the last 2/3 months and it’s got me into mesbg.
I think it would be pretty epic to see the ents attacking Isengard with the dam partially cracked and half flooded or the stand off between Arwen vs ring wraiths across the river with the horses bursting out the wave
I cannot wait for the Resin Pour!
This is an awesome project, I look forward to every video!
Thanks for all your hard work! This is awesome!
Thank you very much!
Favourite scene is always going to be the council of Elrond and the creation of the fellowship. What an epic board!!
The fight at Amon Hen is still probably my favourite action scene in LOTR. Would be a cool little battle board for games. A descending hill from the ruin down to the river. As usual your work is jaw dropping. Can't wait see this completed.
Love every single scene with osgiliath in it. Love medieval urban combat in there
Yeah sick, so glad to have the latest installment! Awesome work as usual mate 😁
Your terrain buildings are our dreams come true. You’ve spent all these years perfecting Osgiliath and Minas Tirith and it has been time wisely spent. Kudos to you good sir.
I have always wondered about doing a diorama about the Paths of the Dead, I think it would look breath taking and invoke that eerie feeling:)
Favorite LOTR moment has to be the battle in Balin's Tomb. It is still my favorite action sequence in any film. The chaos, the fear, it's palpable.
😮 just incredible! what a fantastic Osgiliath board. I cannot wait to see everything done: Minas Tirith + Pelennor Field + Osgiliath all together!
My favourite scene to put in a diorama: Éomer throwing his spear to the Mûmak War Leader! Shows how badass is the Marshal of the Riddermark 🔥
Thanks Benny!
The board is starting to look really good. Might be the best looking gaming board I have seen so far. Lotr is such an evocative setting and story that it seems to bring out the best that people can make.
One moment that might look good as a diorama is the end of the muster of Rohan. When the riders are assembled and they start mounting up, gearing up and riding towards Pelennor. Theoden at the head of the assembling formation and Merry being picked up by a disguised rider. Would give a nice excuse to make a bunch of tents and other camp gear as well.
Thanks Zorp you have got me motivated in digging out my version one minis from lord of the rings from 2001 when I bought them to repaint them.
Haha simply wonderful!! Extremely excited about this build. Truly inspiring
The rubble on the river banks looks incredible, better than modeling compound even I think! Really feel like the city is sinking and the stonework is slowly breaking apart as the very earth is eaten by the water.
As for the diorama, I'd say the scene with Gandalf and Bilbo smoking would be fantastic having both a casual moment and magical moment feel.
Thank you so much mate! I 'm really happy with it!
I love any of the scenes where the party is "at rest" on their journey. Like when Frodo and Sam are cooking the rabbit Smeagol caught. There's so much more to the story then just the battles. These are (for all tents and purposes) normal people (and hobbits) that are thrown into this amazing adventure, and I feel sometimes that gets lost between the epic battles and grand drama of the setting.
Seany yesssssss. Send me an email my dude. info@zorpazorp.com
@@Zorpazorp Done my friend.
Sauron did nothing wrong.
I love that you are using stuff from when you were 9 years old. Totally awesome!! I really also like how you do a good amount of collaborations with other RUclipsrs! My favorite battle from LOTR is the battle at helms deep. That’s one you could also do on your channel! You love the Rohirrim!! I would love to see you build it. It definitely could also be a display piece!! Thanks for all you do!!!!
The board is looking awesome! This certainly has come a long way from the original Osgiliath board, and I can't wait to see what comes next. My favorite scene has got to be in the Fellowship when the hobbits are in the wild with Strider and Frodo wakes up to Aragorn singing the Lay of Luthien, and when Frodo asks what became of her he simply answers, "she died".
Absolutely love the builds that you do. You make it look so easy. You are the reason I became abscessed, (as my son would put it), with making terrain & painting models.
Hahahahaha the little ones do come up with some great one liners!
love watching your vids lochy, its a lot of fun to watch your battle report and terrain building
Dude. I mean…what the hell. That board is ASTONISHING. Truly awesome. Massive inspiration!!!
You are an absolute inspiration Lachie! Can’t wait to see the resin pour 😬
Another cracking video!
So many great scenes to choose from, but if it’s got to be a mini diorama then the Chamber of Mazarbul, deep in Khazad-Dum, has got to be a contender
I love osgiliath it always was the best representation of a siege like battle, also I think the scene where the riders of Rohan catch up to the urukai, so some field and the small valley they run through would be awesome, great work keep it up
Very nice, super impressive build...keep on keepin on!
