Brutal with the hooks. Try trailing single hook, barbless. As a good fisherman, you'll rarely ever lose one to a single hook, and they are so easy to release. Less fish will be hacked up to live another day.
@TheGrumpyFisherman We've been going for 20 yrs. Every year gets a little worse. Going to try point au baril next year. I will miss that view as you leave the "river" and enter Nippissing. It's pretty spectacular.
Barbless!!!
Great video. Heading that way in a week and your vid got me even more pumped about it. Cheers!
Good luck!

Hi, 100% catch and release pike ?
or 1 or 2 small ones from time to time maximum 75 cm?
Any recommendations for places to stay in the area?
I stayed at Lunge. No complaints owners are amazing help and hosts.
What were you using for the Muskie rod/reel set up when you were casting? thx
Hi, it's a Tranx 401 and a St Croix Mojo Musky 8'. Forget which gear ratio.
What were those lures Tony?
They're glide baits called hell hounds scott!
@@TheGrumpyFisherman Thanks, cracking video by the way. Keep em coming.
Just got back from there 3 days 0 musky.
I saw 3 and caught 1. They are a lot of work but they are there. I'll admit I think Georgian Bay is a better place to hunt them.
