Hello! Vegan here. Answering some questions: hemp hearts go great on salad as a topper. (You said tempeh correctly, too! If you ever cook with that, it works well to steam it first to get out some of the bitterness before you cook it - kind of like how you need to do a little prep work with quinoa to make it tasty.) For honey, I am less strict on that than other vegans might be, but I would only use locally produced honey because commercial honey is not that idyllic free-flying, clover-eating pastoral scene that you might find on a farm. For eggs, I would maybe eat eggs from, say, my family's yard if they kept chickens and they could ensure the chickens were happy and well cared for and actually free-range (they won't do that, so I don't). If you look up pictures or videos of commercial egg production, even if you aren't a vegan, you will likely be totally grossed out. Factory farming is literally disgusting and you might prefer not knowing. I just want to add that I really appreciate your willingness to step outside of your comfort zone and experiment with these ingredients and recipes. I am really happy with my choices and I eat really satisfying food that nourishes my body and my soul. I don't think that I'm missing anything, but a lot of people who aren't vegan feel like it's a personal mission to try to talk me out of it. I don't spend any time trying to persuade people to make the same choices as me, because it's just a waste of time and I don't think people like being lectured. I just like seeing when people approach recipes like this with an open mind and maybe find something they like that just happens to be vegan or more ethically produced. I am a Thrive member and I am also considering a move in the next few years to a more rural location, so it is great to know that if I do that, I will be able to get some things I really enjoy in my diet, regardless of where I live. I would also love to see maybe a video of a weak of vegan meals from places like WinCo or Walmart (I shop almost exclusively at WinCo in my area and I find nearly everything I need every time I shop). Thank you for all you do to demonstrate eating in a way that makes sense for your dietary needs, preferences, lifestyle, and schedule. I choose to be plant based for environmental reasons. I'm currently studying Environmental Management at my university and you're basically correct that under normal circumstances it really isn't that big of a deal to take some honey or eggs from bees or chickens, but the problem is that current industrial agriculture practices are not sustainable and are the leading cause of habitat destruction and are the most unregulated sources of water pollution. Since the scale of these industries are just a reflection of demand most people see their choice to be vegan as a vote with their money to deescilate them. Realistically not everyone will go vegan, but developing more plant based habits could help create a more healthy industry. In the case of bees, synthetic industrial production of honey bees (by giving them stuff like pollen patties and such) creates massive amounts of competition with native bee species for food and has even lead to some extinctions because bees will not always return to their hive, sometimes groups will fly off and create a new hive once theirs gets too crowded. (Native bees are so cute 10/10 recommend planting flowers just for those ladies) Pesticides used on the crops that commercial honey bees are used to pollinate have also contributed to the decline of many local bee species as well as commercial species. Chickens are kept in huge, packed hallways in individual cages and are commonly "debeaked" (sometimes twice on their lifetime) to prevent them from pecking each other but much like declawing a cat it's a very painful life from there on. Then once egg laying chickens have outlived their laying days they are often euthanized and disposed of in landfills because their health is often too poor to use for food, as well as different breeds are used for eggs and meat. As for the pollution source the large scale of animal agriculture in general has lead to the issue of manure disposal. Small scale farms are able to use it as fertilizer for their crops adjacent to the barns, but when you're unable to use these giant mounds of the stuff they usually just sit in big piles on the farm because even some landfills won't take it. This causes water pollution when the nitrogen and undigested pharmaceuticals enter waterways via rainwater runoff. There's a whole host of other things I could say about the topic and. I hope my small rundown wasn't a bother but I've been a fan since your triathlon training era and I'm just very grateful that you are so inclusive with your household meal plan options and that you put so much effort into making such high quality content :) most of which comes from your great personality 💖
I'm wfpb(whole foods plant base) and I so use honey bcos I want too. NO EGGS it's a source of the the chicken an animal. I'm wfpb due to my health choices as well as, environmental..As stated by the above comment I do agree with statement. I use the hemp hearts for hemp milk, and in granola, snack bars with dates, added to my bean patties too. Hope you enjoy your time eating plant base/vegan.
Oh my totally refrigerating the next time I get it. We had a bottle opened and yup it got moldy. Ruined our breakfast! I was like eating muddy maple syrup 😂
I’m not a vegan, but I’m a chicken lady 🤗. I believe that some don’t eat eggs because of the egg industry. A lot of times chickens will be kept in small cages to lay their whole lives. When shopping, Free range means they aren’t in cages. Pasture raised means they have access to the outdoors. I’ll always recommend finding a local farmer to buy eggs from! Or raising chickens yourself of course! They are the best ❤️
Also male chicks are treated as a waste product wether that’s caged or free range, organic. They are killed on their first day of life, usual thrown in a grinder alive or gassed/suffocated. This happens worldwide. Free range etc really is just to make the consumer feel better. Garden hens are ok if rescued vegans wouldn’t eat the eggs but It it’s far better, if the hens are purchased then again the males are waste product so still contributing to the awful industry 💚🌱
Also, when an ingredient says it “may contain” dairy or eggs etc, just means it’s made in a factory where those ingredients are being used, I do not consider those to be not vegan.
Do you notice all the packages say gluten free? Most of those things were always gluten free, but if they say that in big letters on the front of the box, people buy it more than they did before! Sneaky trick! Lol
Karen Driscoll I am not kidding, I was talking to a colleague recently and she was telling me that her husband had been advised to cut down gluten but she was finding it really expensive buying gluten free meals for all meals. And I said well you could just have like meat and veg, beans, cheese etc, ya know like normal sort of meals and she couldn’t comprehend that those things were gluten free because they weren’t labelled as gluten free. I said why would things like carrots need a label? And she said ‘well I don’t know what carrots are made from’ 🤯🤯🤯 she’s a marketing teams dream!
Whooo hooo!! So glad you did a vegan meal prep!! I have been watching you for a while, mostly due to your wonderful personality, family is the cutest, your extreme budget videos, and your cooking from scratch style. Love this video Christine! I'm always happy when people that aren't vegan or vegetarian are open to expanding their horizons. It's dull to eat the same things all the time, and close minded to think if it doesn't have meat, it can't be flavorful or nourishing.
thrive market does have a good price on lot of vegan stuff. I run a little baking operation from my home and I make a few vegan /raw vegan items. I always make sure that my customers have a full list of ingredients including the brands and the vegans who purchase my goods have been very happy with what I have chosen, and most of it comes form thrive. The egg replacer specifically can be hard to find by my house. My first order they sent me a bottle of cbd sleep oil as a gif and it really helped me fall into deep sleep fast. You picked a good partnership going with them! You're so wholesome.
My sister in law worked at a preschool that hatched chicken eggs for a project. She said it was really fascinating. We inherited 5 chickens from the project because the owner of the preschool didn't really have a plan for after they hatched lol. My brother built a house for them and they started laying eggs recently. They have a ton of personality lol. So lucky us :) we live on 4 acres in the tahuya state forest
I went vegan arround the same time i found your channel, looking for cheap meals, how to save money and be frugal and it makes me happy that you tried out this vegan recipes and are sharing them with your audience. Also I'm soooo making the rice and veggies tomorrow ♡
I call myself “plant based” because I do eat certain eggs and honey but am otherwise vegan. You described what I like to call “happy chickens” and “happy bees” at your moms and grandfathers house. Yes they will make eggs and honey regardless but the reality is, that the eggs in your grocery store came from chickens in terrible living conditions. Many honey producers also farm using super unsustainable methods that doesn’t promote healthy bees.
You can get "happy chicken" eggs at the grocery store now! I make sure my eggs are "certified humane". You're definitely right that it is better knowing where they come from, though
Same Katie!! I'm a honey lover so I just call myself plant based at home because if I'm at a restaurant I eat what I want, if I'm at a friend's house or family gathering I'm going to eat what's served. However, for me it's about the health studies of effects of meat and dairy on the body.
This is the kind of vegan I am. I eat eggs and honey when I get them from family who I know treat the animals properly and ensure their survival. I won’t eat them otherwise.
If you guys are eating eggs, you aren't vegan. Why don't you guys just say you're vegetarian? I don't understand the need to say you're vegan with caveats.
I started my wfpb whole food plant based journey 10 months ago. I'm about 90% now. I don't think I'm vegan because I will eat 2 egg whites per week & max 1 tsp grass fed butter per week. More plants = less heart issues - for me. I feel better and hope I'm contributing to less earthly harm. Thank you for the video!
I love Hemp Hearts. I add them to smoothies, salads and salad dressings, sauces...I add them to my avacado toast. Sprinkle over soups. I should add that I am Whole Food/Plant Based so these are a good source of Vital Omegas : )

I love vegan or vegetarian recipes. While I am not either, I find that these types of recipes incorporate so many more vegetables and in more creative ways. I am always finding ways to make veggies taste better, other than just roasting them on the side. I like roasted vegetables, but I need more variety in my diet.

New to your channel and I’m obsessed I’ve been binge watching all weekend! I’m an endurance athlete and vegan and was pumped when this video popped up!
I’m vegan but choose to eat honey because bees, unlike years past, need our support these days to thrive. There are degrees of veganism, just like anything else. I don’t beat myself up about this sticking point. Thanks for the support and all the wonderful ideas!
Hemp hearts are super! I get a huge bag from Costco...they stay freshest in the fridge or freezer...I put them on everything. Yum! Tons of vitamins and minerals...check out the magnesium etc. I’ve even put it in meatballs, muffins, banana breads, in homemade bread in pancakes...literally any baked goods. They are prefect in baked oatmeal or oatmeal cookies...and super in smoothies. You can put them in our granola too but add them after you bake the oatmeal. I often put them on right before I eat my granola...
I tried to make the oatmeal for tomorrow morning and I tasted it to see if I like what was happening in the container or if I needed to add something and well I ate it for desert instead. It was so yummy. Now I have to make another one for tomorrow morning.
I love your shirt. My mom is a special education teacher and always on zoom doing independent sessions with her students and I’m always calling. She always says “I’m zoom-ing what do you want” 😂 I want to get her this shirt.
So excited for this! I also made one of your no kneed bread recipes and it was amazing. First time making bread and I was so happy. I'm vegetarian and want to make more vegan meals. I also want to start making more foods on my own that I would normally buy and try to eat less processed foods too. I also like doing grocery pick ups. Never tried Thrive but interested. It's honestly exhausting to go grocery shopping, take your food home, and then start preparing it. I like to wash all my fruits and veggies before putting them away and sometimes even start preparing my lettuce for the week. I have more energy if I can pick my food up and I don't buy the "pre-made" food at the grocery store as much.
Been a Thrive member for a few years. I use Thrive constantly. Been SO great during these times at home. Just a note...I have to use coconut aminos cause I can't eat soy. I love it, but it's sweet. I do add fish sauce to give it more umami. Vegan dishes you can't, but for those that aren't, it does help.
Book Choi is super easy to grow and doesn’t mind cold weather if you wanted to try it in your garden next year. It also does well in containers. And raised beds.
Just a shortcut for the fresh ginger: freeze your ginger whole unpeeled and when you need it, grab it from the freezer and then use it frozen on your microplane. It works perfect and you don't need to worry about the skin as you do not notice it is even on it. Also saves from it going moldy when you don't use it fast enough. Love the freezer trick.
I love that you are doing this. Hemp heart sprinkled on salad ❤️ I am vegan. Eggs gross me out. So they were easy to eliminate. Honestly, if you own the chickens and they roam your back yard I completely think it’s ok. When you buy them at the store it’s a whole different story. Organic Maple syrup from Costco is a fantastic price.
I'm vegan and i don't eat eggs because even with organic eggs male chicken babies (English is not my first language so please excuse any weird wording) are being shredded alive right after hatching (in Germany there are certain brands that sell eggs who don't do that). They do that because it's just too expensive to raise male chicken as they don't lay eggs and therefore for the food industry don't have a worth. Also, hens are forced to live inside reaaaally small cages, even if you buy the organic/animal friendly brands, there are many hens living in a small space (maaany antibiotics to keep them alive and well) and also rarely get to go outside. Furthermore, hens are being manipulated into laying as many eggs as possible by manipulating their biological clock (do you call it like that??). They are using artificial lighting schedules to make the hens believe it's already the next morning to make them lay eggs. This leads to hens being exhausted really early and lastly they decrease in worth if they can't produce enough eggs anymore, so they get killed way before they would naturally die. I can only speak for myself, I would eat eggs and dairy, if I could guarantee that the animals had a good, long and happy life but that is rarely possible (I'm in nursing school and have no connection with my family so rarely any support and I just can't afford to do that), so I rather don't eat it at all. I make exceptions when it comes to foodsharing, which is saving food before it becomes waste, because it would be worse for the environment to let perfectly fine food become waste. This comment turned out way longer than expected :,)
I agree on the eggs but a cow or other mammals only give milk a time after having a baby. So the milk industry is by default feeding the meat industry. And you also take the babies from the mother directly otherwise there wouldn’t be any milk to sell. Most people seem to think cows produce milk like chickens, that is all the time. They don’t, just like human females don’t lactate constantly. Milk is for babies.
@@Marvulven I highly agree with you. From a moral point of view I definitely refuse consumption of dairy products (and eggs and meat) as I don't want my consume to support the horrific dairy/meat industry. I don't actively create demand as it'd go against my moral standards. Yet I'm ready to put them aside when it comes to food that otherwise would've been thrown away. The suffering and the co2 footprint can't be made undone, so I try to show appreciation to the value it has by consuming the animal product. Doing this I don't support the industry (I actually harm it, because it made losses with not being able to sell the product at its full price) and I avoid the additional co2 emissions the product would create if I got thrown away. I hope this makes sense, I just wanted to make clear again that I'm strictly against supporting meat/dairy industries but believe that it can be okay to consume animal products
Christina Wentzel What kind of beekeeper was that?!?! Usually a queen will go on her nuptial flight, go back to the hive, and never leave again. The only reason she would leave is if the hive becomes overpopulated and half of the hive swarms to a new location. Whoever that beekeeper was was not a very good one!
I was vegan for 3 years. I ate honey very rarely but when I did it was local honey from someone who had bees in their backyard. As I see it, it doesn’t hurt bees as long as it’s a small bee farm. The mass factories that produce honey can and do hurt the bees. They don’t care if they kill them when they’re getting the honey. I didn’t eat eggs when I get vegan because mass produced eggs does end up having a lot of animal abuse. Eggs factories not only produce eggs, but also chicks. They only want girls so they can get more eggs from them so they throw the male chicks in a grinder bc they don’t need them. I never thought about getting backyard eggs from someone until after I stopped being vegan. So now I eat eggs but I get the backyard eggs. So that’s the thought process I had when I eating strictly vegan. I didn’t want to buy and eat things that came from places that were abusive to animals.
I read that the problem even for backyard hens is that chickens were never meant to lay one egg per day, it is sort of a manmade thing. Rescuing hens is good but making them lay eggs is not so beneficial in the long run as they would better benefit from eating their own egggs, because producing them takes a toll on their bodies. So basically, it’s a matter of taking them as a commodity. I personnaly do eat eggs but I found it interesting to share this info 😊
@@Nounouille8 how so? I mean a backyard chicken will lay an egg a day as it is. Some lay two. Some lay one every other day... how are we making their egg laying schedule manmade? Perhaps it's the extra nutritious feed they get? No good chicken owner will give his chickens hormones or other such chemicals to lay more eggs. It beats the whole point of having them.
N yes I’ve heard that too and chickens aren’t supposed to be as big as we’ve made them either. It’s disappointing what we’ve don’t to them but as I see it as long as they can live happy, healthy lives I’m okay with having their eggs. The people I get my eggs from love their chickens and treat them as pets. It’s the best we can do out of the situation.
Ms Nicole yes!! Exactly, it’s mostly not honey. Also all there are so many benefits of local honey. Plus it just tastes so much better than those honey bears.

Another substitute for pumpkin seeds. I like to roast spaghetti squash seeds the same way. A little oil and stir to keep an even browning, when toasting in the oven. I think they taste the same. Adding butternut squash seeds roast great too.
I sprinkle hemp hearts, oatmeal, and cinnamon on the top of my banana bread before baking it. Press it on just a bit. Bake! After baking, the hemp hearts have almost a nutty flavor which makes banana bread taste even richer. Thanks for the video to wake me up this morning Christine! ♡ from Korea!

RE: Wasp removal, yay for you! During daytime look around outside of home, around windows, doors the trim to see if you have any wasp nests nearby. They like damp wood. Of course this one likely was a lost traveler, but I always like to prevent them getting inside by not having them live near access points.
We love the hemp hearts. I use them in my homemade granola. Like a half a cup added into a sheet pan recipe. Costco has a huge bag of it in their store. It’s amazing.
I use hemp hearts for a vegan, low carb “oatmeal”: 2 T hemp hearts, 2 T flaxmeal, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (vegan if you want). Add 1/4 cup water, microwave 30 seconds. I top with cinnamon, nut butter and berries. The macros are 👌🏻 and it’s surprisingly filling
Thank you so much for this video! I have been binge watching your videos since last week, they are so goooood!! I am a vegetarian, but I don't mind recipes with meat because I can always use something else in place. However, a video of vegan recipes is even better!
Thank you for vegan meal preps! Been vegan for 4 years now! I make salad dressings with hemp seeds so tasty. Chia seeds are good in over nite oats too.
First, I LOVE HEMP HEARTS, I put them on anything that I can. Salads, smoothies, even on top of pastas as like a an addition (or replacement) for parmesan, on cereal or granola or yogurt, they don't have a strong flavor but have a great buttery, nutty texture so they can be used with so many things! As far as honey goes, as a few have touched on it some vegans do eat honey and are "BEEgans" but I would say most get it from someone they know or are local. Some beekeepers kill off the queen bee every year to introduce a new queen to get better production from the hive, and also have their wings clipped so they can't leave. Also some queens are artificially inseminated too and once the honey is harvested, the bees work in overdrive (sometimes to death) essentially to make up for what is lost. Highly suggest watching the honey episode of the "rotten" series on netflix as you will find out much of store bought honey, isn't even honey anyway. As far as eggs, male chicks are useless in the egg industry and either gassed or macerated alive in a large blender essentially at just one day old and also which was already mentioned, the living conditions are very bad for chickens in the industry. Mass production industries are obviously going to be worse than backyard or mom and pop farms like what you referred to but the thought is that at the end of the day it's exploitation of the animal. I highly suggest looking up "earthling ed" on youtube he just did a video on eggs and he is much more eloquent and educated than me. 🙂 Thanks for wanting to learn! 💚
Love Buddha Bowls😋 I put it over brown rice and add spinach. My recipe calls for the sauce that adds peanut butter. I found this recipe on Delish and it is my favorite, I add chicken. INGREDIENTS 1 large sweet potato, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes 1 large red onion, diced 3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided Kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1 small clove garlic, minced 2 tbsp. creamy peanut butter 1/4 c. Juice of 1 lime 1 tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce 1 tbsp. honey 1 tbsp. toasted sesame oil 4 c. cooked brown rice 1 avocado, thinly sliced 2 c. baby spinach 1 tbsp. Freshly chopped cilantro, for garnish 1 tsp. Toasted sesame seeds Directions: Preheat oven to 425°. On a large baking sheet, toss sweet potatoes and onion with 1 tablespoon of oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake until tender, 20 to 25 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium- high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Season chicken with garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper. Cook until golden and no longer pink, 8 minutes per side. Let rest 10 minutes, then slice. In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, peanut butter, lime juice, soy sauce, and honey. Whisk in sesame oil and remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil until smooth. Divide rice among four bowls and top each with sweet potato mixture, chicken, avocado, and baby spinach. Sprinkle with cilantro and sesame seeds and drizzle with dressing before serving.

More people need to be aware of how bad animal agriculture is for our environment. Thanks for taking the time to highlight this.
I am a Vegan as well. Initially for the animals, then for health. As I did more research, I stumbled across the facts you have shared here.
I really enjoy the way you worded those arguments, it's really fitting:)
TheJackOf AllVideos Most vegan products are super overly processed and very unhealthy.
Don't forget to refrigerate the real maple syrup! We didn't know the first time and it got moldy real quick!
Apparently, if it molds you can scrape the mold off and boil it then it's good after that.
@@pioneerprepper2048 yep!
My friend has a maple farm (that's who we buy our syrup from) and they even have that tip on their packaging.
@@pioneerprepper2048 , good to know, thanks!
Oh my totally refrigerating the next time I get it. We had a bottle opened and yup it got moldy. Ruined our breakfast! I was like eating muddy maple syrup 😂
Samantha Stouffer my first experience was the same. I knew to refrigerate but i didn’t know the SO had opened it 😟
I’m not a vegan, but I’m a chicken lady 🤗.
True. My aunt is vegetarian she does eggs, cheese, yogurt, milk
Yup. That's a "cover your butt" label just in cases.
That label is intended for allergies, not vegan awareness.
I have been vegan for a few years, and I believe everyone is on their own journey with their food choices, and I do me:)
"A tisp. Tisp. What's a tisp?" Hahaha!
For baby bok choy, which I can never find in my small town either, I just use regular bok choy, cut up.
you are raising such great humans. i love when they cameo in the videos.
Me too
I love how she looks seriously offended by him not liking the bites 😂 I can relate to that
My sister in law worked at a preschool that hatched chicken eggs for a project.
But say you make it yourself you you get it locally from someone you know, sort of how she described... would that be okay?
Schweaty balls is one of my dad and mine favorite snl skits! But I already gave a like during the wasp fiasco! Good edits 😂
Watching you cut sweet potatoes was the most relatable thing.
Woo hoo. So excited. I’m vegan and love your channel - even though I don’t cook much of what you show! 😂😂
Me too!
Same!!
Same here 😊

I love Hemp Hearts. I add them to smoothies, salads and salad dressings, sauces...I add them to my avacado toast. Sprinkle over soups. I should add that I am Whole Food/Plant Based so these are a good source of Vital Omegas : )
“Only cowards cook on low” please, please make that a shirt 😂😂😂

Welcome Layla how are things there. I'm sitting in san antonio, tx
Brisvegas checking in!
I'm so happy you clarified your lazy statement. I have never thought you were lazy. It always made me feel bad for you when you said that.
bonnie mccain 🤣I don’t know that this will stop Christine from continuing to say she is lazy 😅. She says it and we all think, while watching her from our couches, “if she is lazy, I must really be lazy.” 😂
The hemp hearts fill you up so much! I make mega protein enchiladas with hemp hearts. I have skipped it and the little hearts really do make a difference.
Love them. I put them on everything. I also found some spicy and they are good too.
i sometimes think you pour vanilla to make the cringers cringe but i LIVE FOR IT have adapted that to my own lifestyle OH and cinnamon too! thanks for the wisdom!
All the vegans are just loving this!!!! Thanks for trying out different items than you might normally eat. Makes me love ya more for it.
I love vegan or vegetarian recipes. While I am not either, I find that these types of recipes incorporate so many more vegetables and in more creative ways. I am always finding ways to make veggies taste better, other than just roasting them on the side. I like roasted vegetables, but I need more variety in my diet.
“I’m really enjoying their company”
My first thought was that thrive market is hanging out with you at your house and I was like “that’s weir- oh, wait, she literally means their company”
I buy hemp hearts from Walmart. The same brand you have. I store them in the fridge and use them in my morning smoothie.
So cool that you managed not to kill the wasp in your vegan video! 🤣
New to your channel and I’m obsessed I’ve been binge watching all weekend! I’m an endurance athlete and vegan and was pumped when this video popped up!
I'd love to watch vegan/vegetarian budget meal ideas, sth like you do often but a veggie version.
I’m vegan but choose to eat honey because bees, unlike years past, need our support these days to thrive. There are degrees of veganism, just like anything else. I don’t beat myself up about this sticking point. Thanks for the support and all the wonderful ideas!
I use hemp hearts to make ranch dressing believe it or not.
I would loveee to see a video of a frugal food haul but vegan or vegetarian. You might have that on your channel and I just haven’t seen it yet.
Go Christine for tying out Vegan! Going forward even once dinner a week with wonders for the environment and your health. Love your channel.
Great recipes Christine. Will be trying most of them for sure. Your reaction to the wasp was hilarious.
I LOVE hemp hearts!! I mix them in all kinds of things... they have such a great nutty flavor!!!
Hemp heart sprinkled on salad ❤️
I am vegan.
@Makeup Minion it's really shocking how many people simoly close their eyes upon the suffering their consume creates..
Same. As regards to bees, I saw a video where the beekeeper clipped the wings of the queen bee so she was unable to fly away.
Great explanation of eggs and honey! Thank you so much!
Maple syrup is expensive, but ain't nothing like the real thing😋
Vegan here...thank you for being open to trying this way of eating. I encourage you to watch the documentary called “The Game Changers”...all about plant-based eating and it’s benefits for athletes.
Black rice is really good made with coconut milk and real vanilla bean as a breakfast dish. I too it with fresh fruit, nuts and coconut shreds.
I use hemp hearts with porridge, in plant-based burgers, dressings/sauces, on avocado toast topped with veggies and hemp seeds, hemp bread...
I love hemp hearts. I buy mine at Walmart and I use them to top my yogurt and smoothies also I make spicy noodles & tofu dishes I just replace sesame seeds with hemp hearts so delicious.
OH AND black rice is the yummiest!! I love using it for our sushi bowls and rolls.
I love hemp hearts! When blended they get really creamy so they're perfect for smoothies. Plus, a serving has quite a bit of protein in it!
I love that Hailey is in her birthday jacket, and Dave is obviously wrong 😂

as a manitoban I love seeing manitoba hemp hearts in videos with americans! I use them in smoothies, breads, cereals, salads.
Yay!!! 🥳🥳💜💜💜💜 I’ve been waiting for a vegan video! I subscribed to get ideas to make vegan versions of your food preps but this is so awesome ✨
RE: Wasp removal, yay for you! During daytime look around outside of home, around windows, doors the trim to see if you have any wasp nests nearby. They like damp wood. Of course this one likely was a lost traveler, but I always like to prevent them getting inside by not having them live near access points.
Hemp hearts are a complete protein. I make a salad dressing by blending with lemon juice nut milk yum.
We love the hemp hearts. I use them in my homemade granola. Like a half a cup added into a sheet pan recipe.
Costco has a huge bag of it in their store. It’s amazing.
hemp hearts are delishhhh in every sweet breakfast I can possibly think of! so nutty, mmm!
I use hemp hearts in our smoothies, I add it to meat loaf, burgers , meatballs and I sprinkle on my salads .
Listening to your description of those cashew chocolate chip bites reminded me of Giada De Laurentis and the way she describes her food. Love it!!
Yep. Defs worth waiting until 145am to watch you. Gold Coast Australia. Thanks again. Gr8 vid.
I love you and your family so much! You consistently crack me up and you inspire me to be a little bit better ...
Thank you so much for this video! I have been binge watching your videos since last week, they are so goooood!! I am a vegetarian, but I don't mind recipes with meat because I can always use something else in place. However, a video of vegan recipes is even better!

The hemp hearts are amazing in chili and in pasta sauce
I agree! Not lazy, efficient! Not picky, discerning!

My vocabulary has increased TREMENDOUSLY thanks to you Christine!!! LOL 😆
Peanut powder is so good for overnight oats, its peanuts w the oil squeezed out and it mixes in easily for oats
I love hemp hearts. They helped me survive morning sickness in green smoothies and now I use them in lactation cookies.
Thank you for vegan meal preps! Been vegan for 4 years now! I make salad dressings with hemp seeds so tasty. Chia seeds are good in over nite oats too.

I sprinkler hemp hearts on peanut butter toast, salads, and smoothie bowls.
SO proud of this channel and that you're getting more brand partnerships!
I noticed the little garlic chopping jump cut, fun! And also hilarious when your son dropped to all fours and tried to ninja his way pass the camera!
I put hemp hearts on spaghetti as a parm substitute and I love it.
Love the better than bouillon it is amazing! I put it on everything especially roasts, and soups.
INGREDIENTS
1 large sweet potato, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 large red onion, diced
3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 small clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. creamy peanut butter
1/4 c. Juice of 1 lime
1 tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
4 c. cooked brown rice
1 avocado, thinly sliced
2 c. baby spinach
1 tbsp. Freshly chopped cilantro, for garnish
1 tsp. Toasted sesame seeds
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425°.

Hemp Hearts on toasted wheat bread with peanut butter is the best breakfast!!!
Love hemp hearts on rice cakes with peanut butter. Sprinkle hemp hearts and top with bananas. Can sprinkle cinnamon on it too. I use to eat it all the time😋😋😋
I love hemp hearts. I put mine in a shaker container and put on my salad with pepitas. That combo makes a great replacement for croutons. Yum!
I use hemp hearts mainly in yogurt. By the way, the Costco in my town sells them so check out your Costco the next time you go. They are usually located near the cereal.
