Thanks coverage team! Love the live paper magic with good commentary. Maria, sweet draft segments. Riley, good job mate. Chortled twice. Marshall, wonderfully balanced like Switzerland.
I used to play UW Spirits against Tron at this time, and I loved every game I got to play against a Tron player. It felt like a beautiful fencing match. Thoralf plays Tron beautifully. His Tron cards and payoffs may only be mediocre at any given moment, but he exploits them for the last ounce of value magnificently. I used to build my sideboard heavily to fight Tron, so I'd stand up and bow deeply to any Tron player who overcame my gameplan. I'd bow twice over to Thoralf after being beaten this cleanly.
How can he sacrifice Arcbound Ravager and give its counters to another creature when the opponent has Leyline of the Void in play? The card reads that it has to go to the graveyard in order to give its counters, but with Leyline of the void it doesn't reach the graveyard!
no there isn't 1 extra damage. The final ravager sac only prompts *one* extra +1/+1 - counter, no matter if it was a 6/6 or an 8/8 or 13/13 (every ravager sac outlet brings one additional +1/+1 counter, every modulator trigger brings one additional +1/+1 counter and the ravager dying brings only 1 additional +1/+1 counter aswell -> always adds up to 14 counters)
How did severin cast and crack expedition map (min 5:19) for only one urza's land that gives 2 mana? And the he playes the 7 mana karn for only 6 mana. What's going on right there??
@@unholyweasels6373 Oh wow. I looked them up and only looked at two of them; i thought i had found the pattern. But that makes it even more busted... Thanks for the answer ;)
Just wondering on game 4, could he not have used the modular from the workers to put more counters on ravager instead of placing directly onto nexus? That would have made the ravager large enough for lethal when sacrificing for the nexus.
Couldn't have gone to a better person! Can't wait for the next arena boys!!!
Back after one year and I am still happy I watched live my 3rd favourite arena boy become a Mythic Champion
Why not the players pictures as the video pic???? Why arena avatars. Doesnt really shout branding the players. But that's just my opinion
Player pictures could spoil it for some. I watch every match and avoid reading the player names.
They might not have had high quality transparent photos?

Serious Magic, for winners!
I'm here to take notes and learn how to play serious magic for winners.
5371W just play Tron and you’ll TopDeck like a champ.

What a great guy

... he can't. No one said he could...
Do some of these lands add more than 1 mana? NEver played modern so I'm really lost as to how they are playing some of these cards x'D
ye, that's the whole idea behind the Tron decks. Look up Urza's tower/mine/power plant ^^
tron buddy
3 lands make 7 mana in combination
18:09 top deck face priceless... I guess u better be lucky than good, Right!
Hoes mad.
Having the free pack code only available for people who watch this content live is unfortunate.
54:30 couldn't he put the counters on the other worker to get the additional counter for lethal
my goodness you're right

I miss Arena Boys
In game 4 did the second hardened scales had no efect i did the math and he only took in acount for one when he putted the counters on creatures ?
Since no one responded to you, I want to clarify - all that took place while the second one was still on the stack.
Some nice defense actions!
07:30 Sigrist wouldn't pick1 pack 1 the mother bear?? WAT??
Yeah, like if Alvaro had hardened scales turn 1 instead of turn 2 he would have one. Razor thin margin for error. Good tournament.
Taylor Bennett yeah that’s unfortunate that one point of damage cost him the game: and of course the Tron player top decks like a god.
He topdecked it.
Ulamog/Oblivion Stone always turn 3-4... absolutely disgusting.
Galera, esse é o torneio que o anão ganha? só pra saber se eu tô assistindo o certo

The mine and power plant give 2 mana, the tower gives 3.

Aaaaaannnnnnddd.... there's no more
Cool!)
Is this extended or modern?
Modern.
Hasta mi abuela gana con Tron
Really like how it doesnt state the format anywhere
tron is mean
That ulamog was so gross. I'd feel ashamed to play it.
Thoralf turns and goes "I think they know I just drew an Ulamog" after the commenting booth reacted. Hilarious.
Las mierdas de tierras de urza que por lo menos deberían entrar giradas, que lástima que wizard no bannea. Son demasiado desequilibrantes e injustas.

No, because leyline prevents the modular effect
Does not matter, same size
