the bonnet latch is in the driver's side. You just ordered yours, with the steering wheel in the passenger side.
since this is the same procedure as having your key battery die, you should also include in the video, how to start your car with no battery in your key

Worth noting that with a lot of portable jump starters, there does need to be at least a very small amount of power left in the car battery to register that something is connected. Otherwise nothing happens as no voltage is showing. Found this out recently on a Swift.

That can be enable via Forscan. I’ve not yet played with it but I’ll see what I can do
I've enabled it on forscan. If you have the right equipment it's pretty straight forward. I didn't, but a friend of mine enabled it in my car in a matter of minutes.

Handy little tip for me for when I get my new car
with my focus st line 1 litre, the manual key didn't work either, so assuming the main battery to flat, ithought if I could access the starter motor after removing the under tray, I then found I could hook a wire to the bonnet release cable voila, job done,I found battery wasn't flat,of course you need to jack up the car.
Very helpful... read that in manual but it was hard to imagine with only text & picture.

When you buy a ford with the steering wheel on the correct side of the car it will be on the drivers side😂
Technically my car does have the steering wheel on the ‘right’ side 🙄😂

Obviously it will always be on the passenger side no matter which side the steering wheel is on

How do you start the car if the car doesn't detect the fob? If the battery is charged under the bonnet but it just won't detect the fob, I get you can use the key to get into the car but then how do you start it?

You are supposed to place the fob into the "backup position", on my car it is below the mat in the well in front of the gear stick. Check your manual if you are unsure.

ok so the bonnet latch is actully on the drivers side, on cars that have the drivers seat on the left.
Please may I ask you a question if a key fob fails to not detect the fob how would you start the car we are talking about a Mk8 Ford Fiesta 1.0litre. Thank you

Bonnet latch is on the driver side on mine but then again my steering wheel isn't on the same side as yours
Its easier to get the key out if you just tap the fob onto your hand and it just drops put
hi jonny, i know this question inst really relevent to this video, but i know you got a miltek exhaust on you fiesta and it doenst have a resonator and wondered if you have any drone and if its really noticeable or bad. ?
My 2019 st has a keyhole that doesn’t need to be popped off but Merica
MERICA #1 The MK7’s have exposed barrels here in the UK too. They decided to cover it on the MK8’s 🤷🏼♀️

Nice video but this is in the owners manual and given that enthusiasts buy STs they would have scoured the manual beforehand. LOL Nah nobody RTFM these days. Given how small the actual engine is these days, the ability to use a starter handle would be handy. Just me then? 😂 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣

As above, just lockdown. It’s been started to move the cars around on the drive and go to the shops but not enough to keep it charged really. Haven’t gone anywhere!
Something is draining your battery, my st3 went into sleep mode because of the lack of use. Started absolutely fine
Andy it hasn’t sat still, which is the issue. It’s been started multiple times to move about 2ft whilst we shuffle cars around. It’s just not had a long run to recharge. Nothing to worry about 👍🏼
@@JBCTR Do you have a dashcam that uses park mode? Maybe that finished the battery off!
