Actually he’s the most accurate version of Peter Parker. He’s just older and he shows that being Peter Parker sucks

He is the traditional Peter Parker. He’s from the 616 universe
@@jrwitherite12 what a nerd
@@jrwitherite12 what?!? I thought he was from a TRN earth and that the 616 easter egg was just a nod to the main comic timeline
He went into Miles's world as a broken, burned out, and exhausted man, and left it as The Amazing Spider-man
man when he says 'well, i am tired' it just encapsulates what his character's all about, at that moment, being spiderman was all he had, he had no home, no wife, no money and barely any clothes, you could really tell that he just wanted to go home, but of course, being spiderman is never an easy or straight road, and he is well aware of that, which amplifies how his character is depressed, god this is my favourite version of Peter
Maybe the guy's just tired, give him a break

I honestly love Peter B. Parker's character, he's probably the most realistic depiction of a real life person as a superhero
Sure it's great at the beginning, you get to save people and fight villains, but at the same time the saving and the fighting becomes a cycle you feel obligated to be a part of because, he's a hero, he has to. Eventually he's just tired both physically and mentally, the whole weight of every mistake he's done weighing him down before Miles comes to give him hope
Well that's the point of Spider-Man. The real life depection of a person suddenly got superpowers in life. Why you think he's just spectacle? This is literally the first thing I said, when I first started to get into his comics, thats he's probably the most realistic and a very complex fictional character I have ever seen. This character btw changed my life, I am who I am because of him.
@@thespider8654 Ok no, I don't think he's just a spectacle, one of the reasons he's popular is likely because of the problems he has involving stuff like work, relationships, and his money problems is because of his other life as Spider-Man
I guess what I meant for Peter B, is that he's the most realistic depiction of a washed out superhero
The Spider
The point of Spider-Man is that he’s willing to give his life to save a total stranger. But what nobody told him is that being a superhero doesn’t just sacrifice himself but puts a strain on those around him.
He spends some much time being selfless he forgot how to be selfish. He forgot that it’s totally okay to want to take a break and put your own life above others.
That’s why Peter’s life is a wreck. Because he puts no effort into actually managing it alongside his hero work.
Him being adult Pete, yes..
Sam Raimi's Spider-man 2 has a more realistic depiction of a real life person as a superhero than Peter B. Parker, simply because we see more of Peter struggles between him and being Spider-man.
We need a movie all about Peter B. Parker
What is there to watch he said he been doing whatever a spider can for 20 years we've already watched peter b Parker
But dude the comics already exists he's suppose to be our dimensions Spiderman and the events of this movie take place after the issue where he gets divorced and ends with him going to try and get her back basically this movie was rewriting some wrong things in the comics so things would make more sense for all of those Spidermen in the movie and the sequel is gonna continue doing that until it reaches the point where they've successfully fixed the wrong things in the comics and connected it back to the comics but anyway point is we already know him extremely well also fun fact the B stands for Benjamin you know like uncle Benjamin AKA uncle Ben yeah that's his full name Peter Benjamin Parker but after uncle Ben died he started calling himself Peter B. Parker whenever he said his full name because if he said Peter Benjamin Parker it would just remind him of what happened that night and he's already haunted by the with great power comes great responsibility thing.
@@Supersonicblue1027 dude well said but you proved your point in the first few words
Uhhh Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Toby Maguire
What if in the second movie, Peter is with MJ and has a daughter with powers. Idk why but Peter B Parker reminds me of the one from the renew your vows comics
I'm surprised you didn't mention that Peter B. and Kingpin have both lost their families, that Kingpin will endanger everyone to get them back, and that Peter B. accepts the loss and thereby gets a chance to regain MJ at least.
Jesus loves yall
I like Peter B. cause even though his life is messed up, and you can tell he is tired and depressed to the point of eating junk and starting to be out of shape, he still didn't give up being Spider-Man. That's dedication. That's a true hero.
True
I get the feeling he only stuck to it because he literally had nothing left in his life outside of being Spider-Man. Peter always had this conflict between being a superhero and still having time for family/romance etc and usually when there was an inbalance of once side it started to take its tole. He gives up on Spider-Man and other people suffer for it but if he is Spider-Man 100% of the time he suffers for it. This version of Peter had no more studying, Aunt May or MJ to devote his life to anymore so kept the superhero thing going as that was all he had left, and that alone wasn't great. Hell chances are him and MJ split because of the superhero stuff being too much for him to be a father or he feared having more people in his life villains could attack but he invested so much time into it that backing out now AFTER the divorce would make it all pointless.
Jesus loves you guys
@@Yuki-qs5mtdoes this have anything to do with spider man?
I love the detail that even the “perfect” Peter Parker at the beginning of the movie says “I’m so tired.” While fighting the prowler. Spider-Man is always tired. His pursuit to keep New York safe never gives him enough time to rest and I love that. That’s when I knew that this movie understood the character of Spider-Man. Also it’s incredibly relatable. Working so hard constantly has me saying the same thing as Peter.

When I heard him say “tired” that hit me way harder than it should have.
I've grown up watching Spider-Man and this Spider-man reflects with me so much. I'm 26 and lost my farther two years ago and a few months after that I got a divorce and only get to see my daughter on weekends. The line 'I'm tired' hits so much more when you've faced so much in this world. I'm happily married again with the woman I love but it was difficult to get back there because I had given up. Brilliant film 👏🏽
I was excited when this movie got announced. I thought it'd be good. I couldn't have been more wrong. It was so much more. This film was the first ever to make me tear up, and I get goose bumps watching it every single time. When I had my second viewing, I was going through a really rough time, and that one line "It's just a leap of faith" motivated me to keep going. Keep moving forward, keep trying to better myself. No movie has ever inspired me to change my life for the better in the way that this one has, and I am forever grateful. This film is truly a masterpiece of its kind.
I love him because I relate to him a lot too. I’m 30 now, I’ve been through a lot, had to deal with a lot of crap, and did not receive everything I’ve earned. Yet, I still keep going, hoping for things to change and get better. Even though I’ve been hoping for well over a decade now, and yea maybe I do have a case of depression, but I’m optimistic about this next chapter in my life(even tho it’s off to a poor start). Anything can happen, I never imagined a global pandemic would happen, so who knows what’s in my future, I’ll stay positive.
We relate alot to the flaws of heroes making the way they pull through meaningful to us.

Thought you were older at first! This is a great video and I know the school burn out well.
Peter B. is a great representation of jaded optimism that comes with a dreamer spending too long in the real world.
Suffering from clinical depression myself, Peter in the first half of the movie means so much to me, but having been on medication for the last 2 years I'm on a path where I can say I'm him at the end of the movie. With all the doubts and fear that come with being a human being, I can still do it. And you can too.
This video? Not bad, kid.
I hope everything keeps on the upward trajectory for you man. Thanks for the really personal comment, it really does mean a lot
My favorite spiderman trait is his complete control over his feelings.
And I don't mean always stoic, emotionless, I mean spiderman always share how he is feeling. He isnt afraid of showing his emotions and that's rare on a superhero.
That's why I personally dislike Tom Holland's spiderman, always hiding his thoughts.
This spiderman, B parker, is so okay with saying "I'm sad, I love you, you are not ready". It's so needed
Great video, I can see a good channel here, maybe work a bit on audio (music and mic)
I mean tom Holland's version is a teenager. Teenagers don't know how to convey emotions lol
@@themutzy6594 Yeah, his peter parker is okay, but usually, Spidermen use the superhero persona to vent. They are more confident and open. Holland is just Holland with a mask

I don’t think Peter B is the best Spider-man, I think he’s the best Peter Parker

I actually think that Peter b Parker's story is more powerful when compared to the spider man we see at the start (that does) that first spider man is young, and more enthusiastic about his job. He even says to miles that "I'm so tired" but compared to the older, more experienced Peter is the next step after this youthful enthusiasm. Anyway, love the video.
This channel is criminally underrated

It won't be for long...
Who can help Spider-Man when he’s down? Another Spider-Man
I’m glad Miles and Peter met
It’s interesting that people associate youth so much with Peter Parker nowadays, even though quite ironically, the character’s original dynamic was a teen forced into a position where he matured almost TOO fast. This feels more like an extension of Dikto Peter more than any adaption in the past, save for surprisingly TNAS (I’d love to discuss why that is haha). As much of a golden age the Romita era was, people’s, and most importantly creator’s, nostalgia for it has left one of the original intents of the character to the wayside. Romita’s influence over the book made major strides for the character (and most importantly the cast!), but by the way the books were written in that time (artist first, then writer), there was a huge disconnect between their personalities. I love the fun-loving, overtly youthful Spidey too, but that’s not really a reflection of Peter at all, or at least not on the surface: it’s a facade. Peter Parker’s default has always been the misunderstood genius with a chip on his shoulder. It’s just that his responsibilities reshaped his actions, not necessarily his mentality. When that sense of purpose and responsibility starts to wear with experience and age, we would see a return to form of sorts, and that is no better reflected in Peter B. Parker.
I quite often have difficulty reading deeper into the storytelling of films, despite myself being in school and learning about just that. Despite that however, almost every single time I watch that scene with him and Aunt May, I almost always tear up alongside it. The only way I could chalk it up to was recognizing the grief between both Peter and May in that moment, and while that's still powerful, I knew that there was so much more happening there that I just couldn't recognize on my own. I always find myself enthralled and wanting to watch this movie all over again anytime I see even just a few seconds of it, and I love being able to use it more and more to try and better understand the craft I hope to one day do.
I like how in this movie, there are several Spidermen you can relate to. Miles for growing to your own standards. Peter for overcoming your obstacles and flaws no matter how hard it is. Gwen for learning how to open up to others. And, yeah those are the only three I can relate to, but how bout u guys come up with something for the other three.

“I like to drink egg creams, and I like to fight Nazis. A lot.”
Noir for fighting Nazis and the desperate want to feel any emotion at all ie burning matches to your fingertips while Peni and Spider-Ham are for the enjoyment of animated characters (? i dunno)
He's exactly what I wanted toby, andrew, and tom to be, because peter b parker's contradiction of youthful energy and utter exhaustion is something I think should be a requirement in any portrayal of spider-man
Not gonna lie, I kinda teared up during the aunt may scene as well. The “you look tired” line hit too close to home, and peter b. parker became so much more relatable than he already was. His character arc (as well as with the characters in this movie in general) was absolutely beautiful. I love this movie so much!

Ngl he almost got me crying tho I’m not even joking
I believe there's a Spider-man for all of us, that resonates with us because they encapsulate what we view of the character and what we view of ourselves, mine is MCU Spider-man, because I'm constantly surrounded by big expectations and being reminded that I can do a lot better if I put my mind to it, that I always doubt myself of being capable of doing something, so whenever I see MCU Spider-man getting back up to fight one more time, it fills me with hope that I can do that too. As well as that, I have friends who make me feel happy and relieved, a bully who puts me in the spotlight to make me feel uncomfortable, a mother who can make me cringe at times but acts like a sister when I need her and who supports me every step of the way, and a mentor who is a teacher at my high school, that helped me find my calling in film, storytelling and helped me see not just the values on stories, but the value on myself.
I hope you're feeling better and that looking up to this Spider-man has lifted you up as much as MCU Spider-man does to me, we are reminded that we do not struggle alone and that no matter how we feel, for the sake of our lives we always have to get back up
Thank you dude, you're absolutely right. Thanks for the well wishes, and I hope you are as happy as you can be

I'm 42 and this brought me to tears. Thank you for your vulnerability, I needed to hear this.
I find the use of Peter B's gut an actually incredible aspect to his visual design in retrospect. As anyone's probably noticed, the gut disappears whenever Peter goes full Spidey-Suit, but thematically, that represents the whole pathos of his character. Peter B is great, even apex in the Spider-Manning, and a slobbish, downtrodden man when trying to be Peter Parker. Even though it's likely a joke scene, I think it poignant that Peter takes his sad shower in the suit. Spider-Man has literally become Peter B's escape from the world. Escape from improvement, escape from facing the demons that plague his life. It's his literal mask, his literal distancing from his normal life by embracing the Spider identity, even when as we're shown in his montage, he isn't doing any hero work. So, it stands to thematic reason that the gut vanishes while Peter becomes Spider Man, because it's his literal escape from the failures of his life, personified by his declining health and physique. And of course all the struggles and cynicism return once the mask is lifted again.
Honestly, I can't decide which I like more between this Spidey and the ps4 Spider-man. They both feel so alive and real, between Peter B's constant dry whit and tiredness and game Peter's constant pull between his life as Spidey and his chance to live a normal life and save those he loves. They are both, in my opinion, the greatest and most accurate versions of Spidey we've ever seen, including almost all comic versions.
Bro that was deep like I can relate to that as well buen out of school hearing my parents argue it’s just gets exhausted of going threw life but we’ll always try to find a way get back up
Bro, this was good! The fact that you're only in high school and able to articulate your thoughts better than most people on this platform can speaks volumes. And as for high school, a lot of us felt pretty hopeless there too. But hey, it's temporary. You have the whole rest of your life after to make it into whatever you want it to be. Just remind yourself that you're able to connect with an audience that, in Officer Davis' words, see this spark in you, and it's amazing!

Peter is usually 14 when he starts being Spider-Man.
So since he’s been doing this for 22 years that means he’s 36 years old.
Can you blame Peter B Parker for acting the way he does, no.
Also I agree high school sucks. And in all honesty it all revolves around one reason for me.
The fact that the one thing school teaches all of us, even those who skip almost every day of school, is that failure is a bad thing. That’s so not true, we are human beings we are not perfect failure is the only way we can learn from our mistakes. But school screams it in all our faces.
There’s more problems then that but everyone who goes to school, school tries to unintentionally or intentionally teach us this fake information.
That’s why I hate the school system so much, it tells with every beating it gives us that failure is a bad thing.
I’m not saying that failure is a good thing but it definitely isn’t a bad thing.
I think Peter started when he was 16. The Peter in Miles' universe said that he was Spider-Man for 10 years, and the news of his death said that he was 26 at the time. So I assumed that Peter B. started at 16, so he's 38 and even older
@@ericd4542 any case scenario he was way to young to take up that responsibility.
And yet he still did, despite eventually becoming well aware being spider man ruined his non spider man part of his life.
I would say failure is necessarily a bad thing but it CAN be a bad thing.
I love this movie as so many people love different things about it. It’s great to see other people having personal connections to the movie with out nostalgia for it barley even setting in.

It felt like you've been honing your style for a few years but clearly you have a style and know how to establish it. I love it. Lastly, I couldn't agree more on your reasoning of love for this Spider-man. I feel the same way on just about the whole video which was a joy to watch for a kid who grew up to live and breathe Spider-man even still to this day. I wish you the best in your youtube career if you have the time to pursue it. I look forward to longer videos filled with passion from beginning to end.
It is true this is the most realistic Spider-Man we’ve ever had and I think this is the only Spider-Man that would actually happen in real life.
Great video subscribed

Great job mate. this video is really well thought out and put together, keep up the good work man. And as A burnt out 30 something guy I can tell you this... life gets damn hard sometimes and it keeps doing that, but then something happens like you watch a random youtube video on Peter B Parker and gives it you that boost to keep on going just like spidey.
Thanks for this mate, young people like yourself make me hopeful for the future
