I tried the sound technique today. It was the first time that I felt like I could do meditation. I tried counting breaths, mantra... but my mind was still to engaged and too much thinking with those. To be the quiet, non-engaging observer seems to be better for me.

The short and incomplete answer is Almost! Almost because true meditation is thoughtless awareness and while You are saying the mantra You are still thinking about the mantra on some level, no matter how subconscious. What You are doing is very useful as a preface to meditation, but it's a very indirect path IMO. I would only recommend to a Seeker with an extraordinarily busy mind as a first step even then I would think focusing on a single object better than mantra with more than one sound. Mam when I set in maditation i can set more then 30 minits i also entered in maditativ state but my problem is my mouth creats lots of saliva and it will brake my redum of maditation and i feel back pain plz any solution for me 😔?
