Thanks for all the videos! I love the Recorder. The thumb hole messes with me especially after doodling around on the Penny Whistle or Irish (keyless) Flute. Can one leave the thumb hole closed and simply cross finger notes like on a Whistle? 😎🌞✌️🎻
Thanks for the comment (I used google translate!). It is really interesting to hear other people's perceptions of sound and tone. I like different sounds on different days or with different pieces and can never quite decide which I like best! The Dream Edition recorder is very enjoyable to play though :)
For my tastes, the Mollenhauer Denner is the stand-out here, its tone seems to allow the most space for expressive playing, but unfortunately its highest notes don't always sound quite as attractive as the lower notes (that is true, however, of the Dream as well). I have a Moeck in maple, too, and it has a sweet tone which is great for certain pieces. I'd love to hear more of that Denner in boxwood!
So nice a comparison! Thank you for it. Dream is best for me. I don't think isn't suitable for baroque repertoire, and it sounds fantastic to my ears. Only caveat is waht could be the difference in soud between plumwood and pearwood??
Hi, the plum wood is a harder wood with more "edge" on the sound and also, the plum wood recorder has been hand finished so intonation and response are better, wheras the pear wood is only a factory instrument . However, the pear wood one might be easier to play, the plum is bright and harder to control but I love it. It sounds so "zingy" :)
All of them sound great but in a different way, the baroque models sing in the higher notes, the Dream is more massive in the lower register. Beautiful playing!
You make them "all" sound incredible!
That is very kind. Thank you!
Hard to beat the sound of the dream...Thank you for posting!!
Glad if it was useful :)

I'm glad you enjoy the videos. On recorder you really need to use the thumb hole though!
Thank you for each smile in each descant model. These choices from projective to colorfull... Clakos your friend on youtube
It amazes me sometimes how different they sound and yet how much I like each sound!

I prefer the Moeck, !
it's hard to choose, I like them all...
Yup, they're all good purchases.
Sometimes I buy recorders second hand without trying them, I only keep the ones I really enjoy playing :)
The dream recorders do stand up well against the big boys
I find the descant great fun to play. Its got a bit of zing to it :)
The 1st and 3d have the best sound
Я хочу купить блокфлейту, но не могу сделать выбор. ((
Did you make your choice yet?! :)
