Fun Fact: Ronald Reagan co-hosted the opening of Disneyland on TV in 1955, and he and Walt Disney were friends. Disney actually helped finance his 1966 run for the Governorship of California.

I bet if Walt Disney lived to see 1980 he would have supported him for President and would do lots of things for President Reagan after he wins.

R.R's diary: "A holiday for some. For us it was Arlington Cemetery for the laying of a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. Then A.F.1 to Orlando Fla. & Disney World. Private individuals & businesses had contributed to bring 20 of the bands that didn’t get to march in the inaugural parade last Jan. because of the cold, to Fla. to parade for us on this Memorial day. It was great & a real patriotic event. Some 40,000 people were there for the parade, fireworks & airplane flyover. I made a brief speech and then we went on to Miami for a fundraiser for Sen. Paula Hawkins. It was a reception & early dinner. She raised almost a mil. $. I spoke briefly at the reception for the top donors & then before the dinner to the entire group. Then we boarded A.F.1 and had our dinner on the plane."

I love the way Reagan called it "decoration day" instead of "Memorial Day." My grandmother used to say "decoration day" which was what it was called before we started calling it Memorial Day.

in Orlando, Flordia was this at MCO Orlando International Airport ? or SFB Orlando Sanford International Airport ?

Imo, most likely AF1 landed at MCO since it's super close to Disney World, then helicoptered to either the landing strip near Magic Kingdom or they could have landed Marine One behind Epcot in a backstage area.

Seeing Reagan in his tan suit reminds me of the uproar when Obama wore a tan suit.

That would be cool, but sadly this is false. That's a 1983 Cadillac used as a "follow up" in Reagan's parades. They had recently upgraded from the out of date 1972 Lincolns that they had been using before (which can be seen in the clips of the 1981 assassination attempt). The secret service still owns this '83 Cadillac, it can be seen in this photograph with President Trump in the background: cbsnews1.cbsistatic.com/hub/i/2017/10/13/e0577f9c-5251-4240-b33c-8e05b6915934/image1-3.jpg

@@bradenclark1560 - 🤣Hahaaa...... that was sarcasm & more of a reference from JFK era. It's clear by the wheels that it's 1980s style.
