My uncle broke his back and they told him he would never walk again. He told them he would and re-taught himself how to walk. You're only held back by your own beliefs and mindset.
Listen to yourself, focus on what you can control
So inspiring. I posted a couple weeks ago on another video about applying for SEAL Officer. Well, at 33 years old I just found today that I received an invitation to attend the SEAL Officer Assessment and Selection (SOAS) course this summer as a lateral (from the Navy reserves) candidate. Not letting those who doubt my ability to survive at my age limit me with their limitations for themselves. Just know that a rusty 33 year old SEAL officer candidate is watching your videos each week and finding motivation to keep the fight/dream alive. With your help I've already made it farther than most told me I would.
To see this go up right before i leave for the gym... it delayed me leaving to the gym cause i needed the hype that your content provides me and many others. #paytheman
Haha hell yeah
Sundays are one of my favorite why? 1. The man post a fresh RUclips video, 2. The new JB workout program me gets released too talk about getting me pumped for the new week and an excellent end to one all rolled into one day
Jabir Moses Hell yeah
Hi Josh, had the pleasure meeting and training with you in Manchester with the Good Dudes shortly before my heart procedure. I was told 3-6 months recovery by my doctors, my surgeon said with me being in good shape 6 weeks was possible......stayed sensible and was back in 6 weeks. Would have loved having these videos during my recovery, totally inspirational. Good luck and hopefully get to meet you again in the future.
Thanks for all the support
Thank you for taking us upgrade to our actual level . Your mindset is such a great example
Thank you Josh for posting these contents. I'm recovering from an adductor tendon tear and watching at your videos everyday. Since I suffered depression for other injuries in the past, listening to your mentality speech keeps me motivated and pushes me to keep training. I stole your workouts as well.
Thank you Josh, big fan of yourself, can't wait to see you back on competition!
Gives great inspirational advice surrounded by beautiful birdsounds for that zen vibe
with the sounds of iron in the background because it is time to put in the work
Haha hell yeah
Yesss! Thank you for another great episode! 👍🏻😁

Taylor Flanagan thanks for the support
Well done ! Amazing how quickly you are recovering ! "get smth you wanna get, don't let people you can't do it, prove them wrong " 100 % agree, one of the most important thing when you try achieve something #paytheman
Always. Focus on yourself and what you can control
I actually watch your videos as motivation through the misery of my injuries and the uncertainty of what I can handle anymore. Now I do long walks, take things slowly. I wish I had your height, it seems like taller people get injured so much easier.
I have only been in CrossFit for a few months. In that time I am growing more confident not inly in the gym but in my daily life both work and personal. I really appreciate you for sharing your recovery journey and your insists in fitness.
The excuses are lies!... You are the man!💪
Thanks for the support
Hola Josh, feel happy seeing u recovery so fast, ist a long way man, im preety sure u will learn a lot from this, thanks for share this with us, big hugh man U inspired us all
MrGuanum thanks for following along, glad it’s been helpful
Gotta get a podcast going man! People are consuming that content to an insane degree because you can drive, train, cook etc whilst listening. Would love to see you get on that
Coming out with one soon
That mind set is why I watch these videos. I have always dealt with stupid people telling what I can and can’t do. Or because they can’t do it then I shouldn’t be able to do it. Whether it is education or physical abilities. I grew up with allergies, asthma, epilepsy and the best days are proving those people wrong and making them look stupid. Had car accident last year and now have 3 herniated discs. Found a routine of good core exercises and now I am doing better than those who don’t push themselves.
Jeremy Phillips glad to hear it, thanks for watching brother
I just paid the man! thanks for the workout! Keep up with the good work!
Love these videos. Making myself accountable for feeling sorry for myself when it gets hard while training. Thank you josh bridges for your inspiration. #paytheman
Albert Hopoate thanks for the support

Paying the man while watching this. Thanks for another great video, Josh!
Hell yeah
I think this one is my favorite so far. I've always been fueled by people telling me that I can't do something. MUST PROVE THEM WRONG!! And it's awesome to see you out of that brace and squatting again! 😊
Hell yeah it feels awesome, glad you enjoyed the episode
Great advise, I live by those words to overcome a couple diagnoses that most think are an impediment.
Get after it brother
You’re going to be much stronger than last years ! Another great vid !! #payhim
Calogero Cimino that’s the goal

Looking strong. Always paying the Man!
P.s got to love the banter.
Hell yeah
Hey Josh, great words of wisdom brother, I just recently did a 4 mile ruck run where I fell and skinned my shin, that I did not know was covered in blood. I just kept remembering that if there's a little pain, go through it. Don't let it win. Paying the man in blood and sweat.
Spartan Matt25 Hell yeah
Kicking ass and paying the man 👏🏻🤙🏻
Always brother
Looks like the recovery is going well. Love the mentality and advice.
Jay Sens thanks for following along
Looking stronger, fitter, faster every day Josh! 👍🏻🔥 #payingtheman
Jason Brierley thanks brother
Hi Josh been catching paying the man as I am able
Working through injury can be tough, especially for those who are used to being active
I think it's cool to see an athlete who's well known display the ability to step back, adapt to what you can do for the time being, and keep getting after it. We often see athletes at their peak, or after they have recovered from a set back. Rarely do we see them recording and posting the process.
You mention being aggressive in your goals. I've heard it said the truest max effort may be the one you fail. It doesn't mean you will always fail. So you gotta keep tryin & not be afraid to come up short on occasion .
Keep up the good work
Thanks for the support
Hope you feel better Josh keep paying the man your a great inspiration attack aggressively
Thanks for watching

I was half way through pushing for a bench record attempt in a few months, just ended up tearing the ligaments in my finger. These videos are super motivating for me right now,
Hell yeah brother
Can you please have a small segment for the dog? She deserves a chance to #paytheman 😄
Haha might have to
Positive message. Check.
Intensity. Check.
Recovery. Check.
PTM!
Hell yeah
Awesome you’re recovering so well man. Just out of curiosity, what’s your opinion on preworkout?
I never comment but your advice about going after your goals no matter how crazy really struck me man. I’ve wanted to go into SOF since watching that Class 234 documentary. But I’m not anything special. In fact, I’m pretty average, even below average at most things. So when I’ve told people my goal they looked at me like I had a dick growing out of my forehead. Forget them. I just put in the work that’s required every day. Again, thanks, I hope you recover soon from your injury.
Focus on what you can control, shut out everything else
Gym tour!
Might have to
Hey Josh, love your videos! Quick question on the ice baths. Are you still doing them post op what with your knee? If not could you do a quick video on what you’re doing for your rehab work outside of training around the injury? Thanks brah!
3P Training once I was cleared for it I have been
Have a video coming out on Wednesday about the ice bath. Got cleared to submerge my leg 2 weeks ago
glad you finally got to squat bro.
Joseph Minjares feels great
Good to see you down to one crutch, Josh! Keep it up. As you can see, you have a community here that is rooting for you the whole way man. Quick question... you were talking about having crazy goals and NOT listening to discouragement; that if you want it, you should go for it. My question is this: you are coming off an injury and are getting into your late thirties. Are you still aiming for a CrossFit championship?
I certainly hope so. It would be awesome to see someone overcome obstacles others may regard as insurmountable.
Michael Mabe always the goal
Josh Bridges I’m glad to hear that! You got this man!!
My goal is to compete in 2020
Keep grinding bro!
Regarding your 5
essential gym pieces: 1) why echo bike over assault bike? 2) what kind of yolk do you recommend?
Frank Hardy echo bike is a little sturdier, any rogue yoke will get the job done
That time of the day to pay the man
matt weist Hell yeah
By the way frogman, Sulphur boys are wild, Matt Vincent is the nuttiest of all of us!👊🏻
I wish I saw this before my workout this morning. Thanks for the pep talk. I'll push my mobility exercises tomorrow. It's hard not to get down when you're limited physically. #rupturedpatellartendonrehab
Keep on pushing through it
Thanks man. I just got to 90 degrees a few minutes ago.
Thinking about it, I would say that the craziest thing I'd like to realize would be to meet you , and , to be really crazy, have some time to talk and maybe share some workouts ....
good vid what are you squating on ?
Just had knee surgery. Was curious about the sleeve you have on your knee. What kind is it and where can I get one?
St. Louis Cardinals! Atta boy!
ThaNathanater haha
Maybe a playlist on Spotify or Apple Music in the near future?
All the songs are listed in the description
Hey Josh, what programming do you follow if any? Have you thought about doing your own programming? I would be all over that!
MJ I follow my program. Josh-Bridges.com
Hey Josh, what height do you set the seat at on the assault bike?
Knee is looking good. Gonna be running before you know it.
M C that’s the goal
I've injured my knee but I'm still doing upper body,i dont want to gain muscle just tone..
With someone else's thinking is understandable. But how to change your vision?
When the “man” Josh Bridges is paying is actually himself :D
Haha
what was the piece of equipment you were squatting on?
damn Josh, you are awesome. Guys like Rich or Mat, yeah, they are the best and everything. But for me personally, not so inspirational towards the public side. Although they probably dedicate more than everybody else, they dont reach people like you have done and are doing. Truly wish the best for you, sending you positive thoughts and energy man. Good content, funny too. #paytheman
Thanks for the support, glad you enjoy the videos
On bridging the gap, do an interview with seven as the interview. Flip the script
Haha
👍🏻
💪🏼💪🏼
Where do you get your shorts? I can’t find a decent pair of workout shorts. (Haven’t really looked)
Jimi_John Nike
How many square feet is your garage?
How do you stay so lean when you were immobile for weeks josh?
I still eat clean
You should add some blood flow restriction to them squats
Jay Copeland been doing BFR! it’s legit
Would love to see a day at therapy if possible!
The dislikes are negative people. 💪🇺🇸
Musket 2018 always
