great video mate definitely deserves more attention, glad to see you point out the main difference in design philosophy between this and runescape with the afk feature
Thanks so much! I'm really happy you enjoyed it. I'm very new to this but trying to improve with every video and it makes a big difference to hear feedback like this!
Thanks a lot, it means a lot to hear that. As I'm just starting out, I've got a long way to go but I feel like I'm making every video better than the last. Your encouragement and feedback really does make help tremendously.
holy fucking shit the Gowers are back!!!!!!! Andrew Gower made runescape when he was like 14 years old, the man is a fucking legendary genius of gaming. I can not wait.
@@alexgarland2747 'politics ruined all games' is quite a generalized statement to make. Maybe you just got older and games don't hit the same way they used to? gotta keep chasing that dragon! 😂😂
Just wanna mention this. Brighter shores does not really seem like an MMO. It looks more like the gower brothers previous style game Devious MUD (multi user dungeon). There is no massive open world, wich i think is a bit unfortunate. But I'll have to try it to see how it feels.
Yeah I know what you mean. I think it's technically an MMO if more than say a few dozen people can be on the same server. For me, whatever you 'classify' it as, I'm just hoping for a good game that we can play for years to come!
What do you think about Brighter Shores?
Sounds good, but will they deliver? Also the 'zones' look very small.

Haha I'm glad you're excited! I guess this is a vote for me keeping up with the Brighter Shores content?
I don't think he was that young, he was in uni as far as i remember
Andrew Gower was born in 1978, how can he be 14 in 2001?
Probably not, but I do believe Andrew can cook up another great game.
Yes !
I can't wait, there's a drought on the mmo market, I hope it works
Glad to hear it, me too!
Why am I only hearing about this now?!
Yep, my thoughts exactly. Will be watching Brighter Shores closely and making more videos as more info comes out!
Great video, can't wait!
Thanks a lot, me too!
Great video!
No it seems like a game from the 80s/90s. I read an interview with him and it completely changed my mind on wanting to even try it...
What was it that put you off? I can definitely understand where you're coming from.
this is exactly what makes it so good, games in the 90s were incredible, before politics ruined all games. shouod be an amazing game

MMOs started out as MUD text based games. You can have a massive multiplayer online game without an open visual world. Geez
