Updated information: 1) After you get the initial mining requirements for the moonstone (using any pick) you then have to mine 100 of each primal ore using the pickaxe of Earth and Song 2) Jagex have hot fixed the stars so they don't instantly despawn when mobbed by hudnreds of players, so you can now safely grind out your meteor shard (took me about 40 mins). FYI the Wiki says it's a guaranteed drop after 600 hits, this is wrong, it took me ~1000. 3) You also need to bring 1,000,001 coins and a redberry pie to the dwarf under ice mountain after you have gathered all the components for the pickaxe. Thanks to @blobhobs9830 amd @LordBinary1010 for pointing this out. Full summary of how to get the Pickaxe of Life & Death: 1) Talk to the dwarf underneath Ice Mountain (to unlock the drops) 2) Mine the black stone on Mos Le harmless until you get the black fragment 3) Mine falling stars until you get the meteorite fragment 4) Talk to the Master Craftsman in Um whilst wearing a brown apron to unlock the moonstone ritual 5) Perform the moonstone ritual using a cut moonstone 6) Mine the required ores (inspect moonstone to see the list) WHILST having the moonstone and the stone spirits for those ores in your inventory (ore box works) - you can use any pickaxe. 7) Mine 100 of each of the new primal ores with a Pickaxe of Earth and Song whilst having the moonstone in your inventory 8) Bring a red berry pie, the moonstone, the black fragment the meteorite shard and 1,000,001 coins to the dwarf under Ice Mountain. 9) Make the Pickaxe of Life and Death in the forge under Ice Mountain
@@GoldRocketGamers After you finish making the spirit moonstone by mining the core rocks with spirits, you get a new step, where you need to attune the Pickaxe of Earth and Song to the moonstone by mining 100 of each primal ore with that pickaxe
If the Former Master Craftsman doesn't accept your brown apron, not allowing you to progress check if you have a cosmetic override, clear it out. Then talk to him again.
Great advice, thanks pal. Some of my clannies had this problem - clearing all cosmetic overrides works! (I would have mentioned it in the video but it happened afterwards)
I disagree, you should aim for the augmented pix 1st. It is the only item that is useful, and is better than the +5 pickaxe. Plus the star was hotfix so they don't instantly die.
Yeah, I think there are unique pages for certain ores, so to get one of them you have to mine the new ores but for the others you have to mine the ores listed in the achievement diary. You definitely don't need the achievement for the pick anyway, only for the comp cape.
I was surprised because coincidentally I was in the middle of making myself a load of masterwork armour and thought I'd have to abandon it. Turns out nope! I guess it's for different applications though because masterwork is power and Primal is tank?
You have to make the a fully upgraded set to unlock the t100 sword, lets just hope it either has a really good alch value, gives really good components, or the sword ends up being really unpopular otherwise the set is going to crash really hard.
I'm not playing that game until they add a pet mute option. Runescape has some of the best audio design in gaming ruined by some of the most annoying follower and walk/idle sounds known to man. Going to a populated area gets extremely grating nearly instantly.
I do understand that, it feels odd to add 10 new ores, I was surprised that they didn't hold some back for the 110-120. However to me it does make it that little bit different to other smithing. I must admit though, I basically ignored dungeoneering so this feels more 'new' to me than maybe it should.
I heard they already fixed the shooting stars dying. I like them tying in this older content to make it still relevant, it can also introduce people to elements of the game they're not familiar with.

good vid man!
Thanks a lot! Glad it helped!
The pickaxe of life and death requires you to use the pickaxe of earth and song while mining the Daemonheim nodes for the attuned moonstone.
Really? Daemonheim ore is not on the list of ores for the moonstone.

@@LordBinary1010 Thanks for this and thanks @Blobshobs9830 - I've made a pinned comment with the updated info.
thank you so much for the video!
No problem, so glad you liked it!

Excellent video thank you
So glad you enjoyed it! Was worried about the quality with having to turn it around in just a few hrs but it seems like people like it!
I like this content.
Haha thanks a lot mate, I genuinely love to hear the encouragement and what people want to see more of!
I'm sure the algorithm loves it too 😂
Great video 🎉
Glad you liked it! Had to get this one out quickly so I was worried it wouldn't be good enough quality.

Did you get the new pick already?
@@HEAVYJEZI yeah I could have but went to sleep. Only have Light and Dark anima left to mine

@@killler240 I'm laughing because you think you're almost done.
you don't need to be mining a new ore to get book pages. i got 1 mining rune ore

Imagine making a skill go to 110 that unlocks worse gear than at 99.
Jagex are so braindead

To be honest I normally play the game muted while I watch RUclips or listen to music
@@GoldRocketGamers Wonder why.
if they just gonna add dg items to main land for 100-110 just seems lazy ...

Fuck them for the Shooting Star part. Also fuck Jagex for new content being worse exp/hr than Animica!
No problem with the shooting stars on my end. Got it on my 2nd 1
lol thats not even the worst part. it's gonna take ages to mine all the ore required to attune the moonstone

i mined 100 ore before i got the moonstone, i need to mine it all over again lol..
Oh no, I feel your pain! Still all that ore will be useful, either to sell the bars or to make stuff for xp
