Your tutorials are top-notch, full of value, easy to understand without the fluff. Just starting out in DSLR Photography I've already learned heaps from your videos. Understanding the basics gives me confidence going forward. Looking forward to seeing more tutorials, thanks for your time and effort!

Philippe, thank you so much for this invaluable series! I'm just getting into photography and these lessons taught me many fundamentals that will help me from here on out. I would love if you had some more lessons. I saw that you mentioned possibly doing one on composition and I think that is a great idea. Sometimes I can compose a good picture because it just feels right, but I would like to be able to purposefully compose a great shot.
    Thanks again!
    Frank

Well done. Thanks for the video. I was always doubting of weather I should try to calibrate color and how it's done.

Amazing series. I was looking for something like this for long long time. There are many videos that tell you what to do, but it's not as useful as making people understand the fundamentals of how it works. Thank you so much for your outstanding work which I find extremely helpful
    .

You're very welcome. Your comment is appreciated! I haven't created an episode in ages as you can see. Do you have any topic suggestions? Perhaps balancing flash with ambient light?

      Philippe Dame
I am not sure Phillippe, if you'll do any more episodes in this style, they'll sure be valuable. DSLR photography is a science, I've taken pictures since ever with point-and-shoot cameras, but with my 7D it's a real challenge, because there is almost everything you get to control. I personally would be interested e.g. how do you process RAW images (basics) and what exactly do you do in practical action to determine the proper exposure (I mean practically, what do you try and evaluate to figure out what's best for the shot). But again, anything you'll decide to cover will surely be worthy.

No, not yet. I may eventually do some on Lightroom but there are many out there already that cover it well.

these tutorials are wonderful; thank you for doing them! I've learned much more than my aborted attempts with books and static webpages. And I've switched to shoot RAW ;-) Any chance you'd take on how to compose photos...? :D

Thanks. It is an intimidating topic but once you realize that your colours are totally off, you can't work on an non-calibrated monitor with any confidence.

Thanks! I haven't done a video on composition but that's not a bad idea. I do have a blog entry you can read. Head over to LearningDSLR (.com) and put this after the domain: /2011/03/10-guaranteed-ways-to-improve-composition (RUclips won't let me put links in comments)
