If you want to see which publisher detected files then you should click on the Details (blue) button (notification). Then you will see each vendor result (Clean or malware name). :) 2. You can show him bugs and if you need help he is a good help. Also Crystal Security also only has 1 developer. Also Crystal Security only detects stuff in real time if you click Analyse with Crystal Security it doesn't detect it if you disable the real time protection.
Hey, great test! Can you next test 360 Total security using only his engines? (avira and bitdefender disabled). It's a bit tricky to use: if you want to enable Bitdefender and avira in real time protection you need to click on "protection ON" and then put it on security and confirm. To update the product you need to click on the product version which is down on the left. To go into setting you need to click the sanwitch icon on the top and on the right. In the settings you can enable detection of PUPs
In my opinion, it has potential, but it takes FAR too long for detection. It allows the malware to execute and partially install before detection? That's not good as infection could start hooking itself into system before Crystal Security does something.
What a terrible scanner this was. Many more misses in my book since it was a bunch of unknown prompts rather then detected promps i would have clicked allow on those myself. But even if it had a 100% detection rate, a scanner should NEVER crash especially if it doesn't come back up. That moment right there was enough for a virus to completely infect the entire system if it missed it before.
It´s hard to believe the way some Suites can´t prevent exploits from doing their nasty job...Comodo also seems to fail in this matter. Security holes should be a priority for any security software. Bottom line seems a good program anyways. I would like to see you testing Rising Antivirus Free
