- My ride continues south along the Northern California Coastline and on into majestic Redwoods along the Avenue of the Giants. However the temperature changes quickly, and mid-day heat presents some challenges.
Another nice episode. All the best to your bicycle travel.
Thank you, appreciate the comment. Safe Travels to you.
Gotta get the Gatorade. I'm partial to red or orange. I had the same exact bike and was very fond of it.
Thanks for the comment Joe. I love my REI bike but after 7 years of use I may upgrade next year if I can find a stiffer XXL frame with similar geometry and disc brakes. I'm 6'4" and there's not a lot of options for tall guys who like a more upright stance. Happy riding!
That’s what I loved about it how comfortable it was when fully loaded. I only sold it because I wanted something a bit more bikepacking capable but it sure was nice as a touring bike. Thanks for the videos I really enjoyed them. Let me know if you ever need/want a touring partner, I’m in So Cal. I might even go to the BTP overnight burrito ride in December. Ride safe.
Cucumber or icy blue for me
hat 0ff dude....let's heat out.
Nice. Could you have stealth camped the beach?
Probably could have done some wild camping but most of the State Parks on the Coast have inexpensive hiker/biker sites, with a shower and outlets to recharge devices.
Great vid!! That heats a killer! Exactly what time of year were you there??
Hey Stuart, thanks for commenting. It was the last week of July when I hit the heat in Humboldt County. That stretch after Scotia is inland a bit and is known for hot weather in July / Aug.
