If you're starting in Flight Sim, this is more than a perfect aircraft to start with. It gets you started with the aircraft systems such as FMS, LNAV and VNAV, and this is perfect to enter into the PMDG/FSLabs stage.

Also, Captain sim, from what I heard, has flight dynamics problems. For me, qw 757 all the way
I have flown the qw757 for years before upgrading to the qw 787 which was a huge upgrade. It was fun to fly but I retired it for the 787. Your video has inspired me to bring it out of retirement to fly more medium to short range flights. Great vid and thanks.

I know this video is 5 years old but I just have to say thank you to Jvation for convincing me to buy this plane. I have it installed in P3Dv5 (via migration tool) and I also installed the improved VC textures and I'm loving this airplane. It is the best one there is for P3Dv4 or v5 period. The Captain Sim 757 is a joke, it may have deep systems but the flight model is terribly inaccurate, not even close to the real thing. This plane flies much more realistically. It may not have deep systems but it's still very fun to fly :)
When QW has released the 787-10 then the should definitely made a 757 pro. Still not pmdg, but better then nothing, and their 787 is great in my opinion.

Guys I am hating life right now. I wanted a 757 and I bought the captain sim 757 literally 2 days ago. God life sucks, I’m going to buy this plane now because it’s cheaper and better then all the expansion packs for CS.
If it makes you feel any better, I have both 757s and have no idea what to do with them

I usually fly the pmdg 37 the aerosoft 320 and maddog x but thia aircraft is realy good when on line on vatsim or ivao with a lot of traffic and bad weather because dont pc crash, when the others do my pc is medium level...

the light switches are still a big lol. happens at random or if you keep the plane open in the sim for a very long time and or switch from day to night. soooo id rather fly this plane in the day but i love it and its well worth the 15 bucks.
I never know that the 757 has two winglettypes. That explains why I don't like the winglets of the CS 757
Absolutely! Jet2 and many older 757s (like some US Airways aircraft) have the smaller design, whereas most flying today have the taller design that is very similar to the 737NG winglets. Interesting enough, the 737-300 also has two different winglets designs :)

Nice video of a good add on. I have everything QW has put out in FSX and P3D. Good planes that do what you want them to at a great price point. Question as to what program you used for the functioning runway warning lights? Part of the airport or separate add on?

they still didnt add wipers bro...they should at least give the option for rain effects and wipers!
They'd have to get a license from TFDi, which marks up the cost
they can use A2As free rain effects tho

I have a problem with this aircraft. When I import a flightplan from Simbrief, and place the plan into the aircraft, the map of the plan doesn’t change! Still frozen. Do you know how I can change it?

If i have one thing to make your review better. It would be to not use tomato shade ect so we can see how the plane looks out of the box

How is the FMC? I read that you can upload flightplans from Navigraph but just curious how that works and overall the FMC in general.
The FMC itself is actually pretty good, for a light aircraft. Of course, not as complex as the CS, but you can work with SIDS/STARS, departures, and other normal flight operations. Perfs page is also modestly decent.

There are plenty of liveries available on avsim and the Qualitywings website. This aircraft supports FS9/FS2004, FSX, and P3D repaints, so there's an awful lot that is available

I did not know that X-plane had modelling problems! And pls do not compare this to FF or even Captain Sim. They are both in another league with an edge to FF IMO. I agree with you thatfor the money it is good enough though.
When it comes to comparing to other creators you absolutely can and should, particularly if the ones who are charging you a helluva lot more are falling short of the cheaper products on some key matters, like cockpit modeling. Its not like this is a new concept. People have talked about how the NGX cockpit is all sorts of wrong for years.

I agree, the CS and FF are definitely superior in terms of system detail for their renditions of the 75. That being said, FF has modeling and texturing issues and the CS could be better in some areas. QW, while being much less detailed and cheaper, actually hits the molding target really well. I personally think its our duty to give constructive criticism to developers so we don't get overpriced, faulty aircraft. Thanks to the community pointing out the cockpit geometry faults with the PMDG NGX, they know that we'd rather have actual correvt cockpit geometry rather than being able to use the HUD

It's an FS9 aircraft that is over a decade old. QW stated they were only going to port it over and fix bugs, not redevelop parts of it
Are you on drugs the flight factor 757 internal modelling is miles better than than that old thing 😂
jacob prescott yeah, the modelling internally is way better, it’s the texturing and the exterior modelling that suck. Though for 15 bucks this is amazing
Externally, its severely lacking. 3 iterations, and a $60 aircraft with model issues that freeware aircraft don't have. They've been told multiple times to correct this, over several years, but they ignore it, and that is a huge turnoff for me. If they're going to charge as much as they do and boast as much as they do, they better not slack off on one portion of the aircraft and ignore the constructive criticism.
I'd personally say this is up there, and (of course) if QW brought it to their current standard, it'd be equal if not better. FF still has texture issues and imo I don't agree with much of the XP hype for it (excluding the A320)

Hello, that's the problem, the textures of the terrain of X-PLANE 11 are bad, but the Airplanes are good, and in P3D v4 the textures of the terrain are better, but the airplanes are not very detailed, the graphic engine of P3D is better, when you put the camera in tracking mode and the Airplane makes a turn, what moves is the plane not the horizon, in X Plane 11, when the Airplane makes in turn what really moves is the horizon, not the plane , that's very bad and it's not realistic, I hope you correct both, or make a good simulator by taking the best of both, greetings.
I highly disagree. There are many more high quality, detailed, aircraft for Prepar3D in comparison to X-Plane. Literally every X-Plane airliner has a P3D counterpart with equal if not greater levels of detail (Zibo 737, NGX; FF777, PMDG 777; FFA320; FSLA320 and so on).
There are ways to correct your "horizon" issue within both simulators, it just a camera preference (you can use a different camera option within X-Plane)

JordanCO_ TV Hello, I have tried all the views by defaul of the camera and it does not work, it continues turning the horizon not the plane, in the old "Fs9 or FS2004" the plane sails on the stage and when it makes a turn the horizon does not move, it's like when you go behind a plane and he makes a turn and you do not, your horizon will not move, if you have a link that shows that I'm wrong please put it, thanks for your input, I think we're a big fan community and as such the support is essential ❤️
