    Thank you for posting! It tastes wonderful. I forgot to get the immersion blender from Costco a few weeks ago, used a Ninja & had my tuber ricer handy, just in case & only had whole milk, not half & 1/2 (did not use buttermilk, but might next time), used coriander powder & fresh chopped watercress instead of nutmeg / cilantro.

    Interesting recipe! Never had savory nutmeg flavor, is the root vegetable slightly sweet with this preparation?

    I never noticed any difference other than the color. Didn’t know there were two types. How can you tell the difference before peeling? This dish is a first for me never knew or saw before.

      Unfortunately it's hard to tell from the outside, but if you can see a cross section, the purple yautia will have little flecks of purple in it (hence the name). But also, the differences are subtle so no problem if you only use one. 😄
