I was thinking the same thing man... How cool would have it been to see Pantera in a small club in 90/91?... Absolutely priceless... I did get to meet Dime and Vinny one time so i am forever grateful for that. Dime signed my arm had that tatted the next morning. Love and miss Dime... Vin too... Imagine what they would be doing with all the social media now. Dime would be all over it :)
RuffisInc With the way the group got in more heavier and harder ala change of sound, no way he would of kept that going even during the 90s alongside the drugs and all. I get you tho. What a voice man
Inside The Cynical I totally get you, and I’m not criticising his later style’s. Trendkill, for example, has some of the best extreme vocals ever recorded, it’s just that live he was horribly inconsistent at times. The RTS tour live videos can be pretty painful to watch. The thing with Phil is he’s always had the potential to be great. He had a phenomenal bounce back that lasted from 2007-2010, because he finally got clean and stayed clean. If you’re into Down and you’ve checked them out, when they initially reformed in 2006, his voice was destroyed more or less, there’s no other way to put it really. Even though he’d set down the needle, he was going on stage out of his mind on Soma’s or whatever he could get, but he finally sobered up and had a brilliant performance on Over the Under and the proceeding tours. Everyone thought he was toast and he proved them wrong, the sad thing is he just seem’s to go backwards and forwards so much over the past decade with his health and unfortunately nowadays that’s been effecting his performance a lot. That being said I’ve got a lot of hope for Down. They’re start playing again after the pandemic we’re in clears up so fingers crossed, I guess
@@takeoischi4156 Seen an interview with him recently where he mentions that all the later stuff was a piece of piss to sing compared to Cowboys and earlier - I can definitely see it!
His performance on Cowboys From Hell is one of the greatest performances by a vocalist. Period. He mixed the high range of Halford with the deep extreme singing. Absolute masterpiece.
3:49.. Epic Sleep solo! R.I.P. Brother Dime. You are missed! Especially on this new Pantera era! You will never be forgotten ❤️ Vinnie Paul too Brother!
Phil anselmo, greatest metal singer of all time, multi dimensional and had the attitude to go along with it. Dime bag, greatest metal guit...... wait, one of the all time, ever, greatest guitarists to ever bless this earth, fucking ever.
I have tattoed Dimebag playing in my body when i was 15 years old. Now I have 25 and still loving his riffs and solos, and all Pantera stuff. Sorry for the bad english, greetings from Brazil.
The Solo is unbelievably emotional, it just sang lyrics not just a beautiful guitar tone. and that's rare to actually speak through an instrument. and Phil used to have such a beautiful voice. these 2 were one of the best and of course Vinnie one of the greatest drummer's
This is one of those solos when you listen to it on the album version you say: this solo sounds awesome but probably would sound shitty live because it’s difficult to replicate. Then Dimebag: Hold my beer.
dude not even fucking with you that is literally why im here and i am blown the fuck away sitting here with my thumb in my ass, mouth to the floor absolutely bewildered
I was not even born yet and I absolutely hate and regret that I was not old enough to see them before the tragedy struck. Rest In Power Dimebag you fucking GOD!
I was fortunate enough to see them in 95, and 97, and couldn't believe how good they were together. All that crazy shit you hear Dime play on the albums could actually be played very well live somehow. You never hear him fuck up any of his guitar parts live...IMO the BEST metal guitar player EVER!
his vocal range was amazing on the Power Metal album and Cowboys from Hell, and then he stopped doing the higher falsetto stuff by the time they did Vulgar Display of Power, because it was the early 90s and that halford/king diamond style of vocals wasn't considered "cool" anymore. Then he blew out his voice and can't do it again even if he wanted to. I am sure that drugs didn't help him either.
i first listened to this song today, with headphones. i made the most stank face ever and headbanged during that intro breakdown, never felt so aggressive listening to music before. chugging that thing like crazy
So awesome to see this. The old band logo and all. That's what makes 'CFH' such a unique Pantera album, those screeching high notes from Phil. If only we could have seen more of it live...
IMO this was PEAK Anselmo, his stage presence , looks, voice, god I miss the Abbots , I will always be thankful i was able to ride in the limo with them and drink whiskey for 3 hours, heaven is going to fucking shred..
CFH was waaaaay ahead of its time. To see Phil go all 'tough guy' after this was very sad and their identity unfolded soon thereafter. Dime kept the ship going on everything after but with the frontman screaming incoherantly into the mic on heroin, it just didn't quite pack the punch of their masterpiece, CFH. This is absolutely amazing...thanks man!!
Yeah, for sure. Hate later Pantera, garbage pioneered nu metal and bands like Five Finger Death Punch. CFH is pretty good though and so is Power Metal from 1988
??? What are you talking about. What could you possibly be referring to? Pantera is one of the rare bands that stayed true and never went mainstream. They have not one song that is garbage
It's near impossible to pick a favorite Dimebag solo. But this one is pretty high up there. When he was Diamond Darrell. He was always a legend and by all accounts, a friendly good natured goofball. This song is great because it was heavy but it never eschewed melody. COWBOYS FROM HELL had a lot of elements of 80's Pantera but with a hint of the direction they would take in the 90's.
Found pantera to late just last year I must have been living in a fog I fn can’t get anough of them I heard the song sleep by accident that’s all it took
I was born in 2002, atleast we were on the same planet as dimebag for a short period of time, out of the millions and billions of years of earth we happened to be alive at same time
Imagine, at this night, you can see the sleep, domination, power metal, the art of shredding, hard ride, cowboys from hell, medicine man... priceless?
I was thinking the same thing man... How cool would have it been to see Pantera in a small club in 90/91?... Absolutely priceless... Imagine what they would be doing with all the social media now. Dime would be all over it :)
Wish Phil took care of his voice. He really was exceptional when he was younger
RuffisInc With the way the group got in more heavier and harder ala change of sound, no way he would of kept that going even during the 90s alongside the drugs and all.
I get you tho. What a voice man
the vocals on the whole of Cowboys from Hell are on another level compared to all his later stuff
Inside The Cynical I totally get you, and I’m not criticising his later style’s. Trendkill, for example, has some of the best extreme vocals ever recorded, it’s just that live he was horribly inconsistent at times. The RTS tour live videos can be pretty painful to watch.

Absolute masterpiece.
That solo is haunting.
The beginning as well
Yea it's like dime put his soul into that solo and you can feel it
I always get goosebumps on the solo
Awesome. The solo is a song, itself!
so im way old, and yeah my favorite band is pantera but anyway...
these dang kids with their music these days...no guitar solos!
Absolutely
That guitar tone, that massive drum sound, the subtle but gritty bass sounds. PERFECT
And ofc Phil's amazing voice.
3:49..
Epic Sleep solo! R.I.P. Brother Dime. You are missed! Especially on this new Pantera era! You will never be forgotten ❤️ Vinnie Paul too Brother!
man i dont care what anyone says this proves that pantera was greater than great and that Dimebag could shred like no other R.I.P. brother
Right fuckin there broski 🤘😎🤘
🤘🤘🤘
Phil anselmo, greatest metal singer of all time, multi dimensional and had the attitude to go along with it.

And let's not forget Rex with the incredibly badass bass riff during the solo.
@@dougk359 rex actually wrote alot for pantera, something alot of people tend to forget..
Rex is also the sexiest.
@@dutchmccrew he does have a lot of respect from the metal community, but at the same time he's kinda forgotten and not mentioned when he should be
This is one of those solos when you listen to it on the album version you say: this solo sounds awesome but probably would sound shitty live because it’s difficult to replicate. Then Dimebag: Hold my beer.
dude not even fucking with you that is literally why im here and i am blown the fuck away sitting here with my thumb in my ass, mouth to the floor absolutely bewildered
Vinnie has always had a badass snare sound!
I like his ride too
Don't forget doble bass
Yeah dude his snare sounds like a gigantic old growth tree snapping in half.
I was not even born yet and I absolutely hate and regret that I was not old enough to see them before the tragedy struck. Rest In Power Dimebag you fucking GOD!
You would’ve loved it. They were metal beasts.
I was fortunate enough to see them in 95, and 97, and couldn't believe how good they were together. All that crazy shit you hear Dime play on the albums could actually be played very well live somehow. You never hear him fuck up any of his guitar parts live...IMO the BEST metal guitar player EVER!
Phil's range is out of this world ... Nothing beats that
and he's like 20 ? 21 ? without any pro training...
his vocal range was amazing on the Power Metal album and Cowboys from Hell, and then he stopped doing the higher falsetto stuff by the time they did Vulgar Display of Power, because it was the early 90s and that halford/king diamond style of vocals wasn't considered "cool" anymore. 3:46 phil playing air guitar at dime's awesome solo 11/10 concert!
Better than the solo haha
One of the most underrated songs from Pantera. Chorus and solo are just fucking awesome.
I agree 100%! The very first time I heard the CFH album in 1990, this song stood out as one of their best!
One of the greatest ever solos from one of greatest ever guitarists. Dime was one of a kind.
That's Diamond!
One of the the best songs by one of the baddest bands of all time
The most Badass band ever
bro what, pantera is great.
The audacity of not having a music video of this song. Still thankful for this live version 👏
Right? The nerve of some people
Music videos suck
This is actually pretty rare..Thanks man!!
Fav dime solo of all Time
That is the best solo I have ever heard
One of the greatest guitar solos of all time
Wondered why people didn't cover this one , then I remembered the solo !
Watch Kenny giron cover!!!!
My god, that fucking snare is monstrous. It sounds like a damn gunshot! Then rexs bass, my god. Just so fucking amazing
Yeah it sounded heavy like someone hitting a metal garbage can with a bat lol
THANKS WHO POSTED THIS IS A GEM RARE RARE stuf... 4:40 one of the top solos in whole music history ... Phils voice is amazing
3:47 for people who came for solo
And from the beginning for the Pantera fans.
This is hands down my favorite solo off any off their commercial albums. RIP dime
They changed the game, sat a new standard. Brick thick quality delivered 👊🏻❤️
6:45 you can hear the famous transition from hollow
This song still gives me chills every fucking time. It's a masterpiece.
One of the best solos ever... anywhere!
My father was at this show. 🤘
The riff is soo amazing, love hearing that. But the solo is in a league of it's own.
this song gives me chills down my spine
Tears during the solo 😭🤘🏻🤘🏻
i've fucking searched this song live a thousand times, thank you
I have listened to this solo over and over again. And still to this day it's one of favorites. Rip Dimebag and Vinnie.
2:35 just like the LP. Phil was beyond killer as a youngster 🤘🔥🤘
Holy shit this is amazing, smoke a fat one and put on headphones and your almost there lol thanks for this video, they sound so good!
Just what im doing hahahaah
That 1/4 sec delay and octave pedal is what distinguishes the real solo from all the rest I've been hearing
Not an octave pedal in this era, mxr flanger doubler and an eventide in his rack
Eargasm 🤤
So awesome to see them here when they were young and firing on all cylinders. Pulling this song off live is no small feat.
My favorite song 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Classic footage, didn't realize the old Pantera logo in the background when I first watched this
rare to see phil with flowing locks like that, lol
So awesome to see a stable shot of the band, no shaking, just 4 guys rippin!
I envy the fans at this show.
I love all Pantera songs but this is my favorite..
hollow at end!
iltsu koltsi holy shit, so it is...
lighting and sound guys deserve a mention too.
PANTERA , is the definition of
HEAVY METAL !
i first listened to this song today, with headphones. i made the most stank face ever and headbanged during that intro breakdown, never felt so aggressive listening to music before. chugging that thing like crazy
I was 9 when this went down. And it took me another 7 years to appreciate it. No Dragon om 2nd guitar on this either.
RIP Vinnie Paul
Adore that bass!
Say an infint thanks to the one who filmed this piece of history
One of my favorite songs of Pantera
So awesome to see this. The old band logo and all. That's what makes 'CFH' such a unique Pantera album, those screeching high notes from Phil. If only we could have seen more of it live...
My favorite track off the album!
IMO this was PEAK Anselmo, his stage presence , looks, voice, god I miss the Abbots , I will always be thankful i was able to ride in the limo with them and drink whiskey for 3 hours, heaven is going to fucking shred..
Damn, when was this? I would of killed for that opportunity
Beautiful!
remembering Dime 12/08/16 best solo ever!!!
I get chills every.single.time. I hear Dime's solo in this song. RIP
God Bless Pantera. God bless Dime and Vinnie, the fallen ones, God bless their beautiful souls. R.I.P.
Ooff that riff at 5:59 sends chills down my spine every time ❤
Rex having crazy bangs kills me everytime!!😂😂🤘🤘
this is absolutely awesome, thank you, a special moment in time for sure
thanks, sounds awesome pantera rules

Whoa that riff from Hallow right at the end.... the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
Killer voice.. just like Chris Cornell.
magic
YOU ARE LUCKY IF YOU SAW THESE BADASSES LIVE.
I was born February 2004 so O didn't get to
I did in like 2000
I saw em in st Louis reinventing the steel tour
2000 i think i saw them, but this earlier pantera was much better imo. I think they started going downhill after Vulgar album
Thankyou for uploading.
Mad respect for PANTERA.
Forever in our hearts ♥️
People in the crowd witnessed the birth of gods
Wow, 60 FPS. Exceptional audio quality, too. It's like I'm really there.
Best song ever! From pantera!

I wanna cry and cry... CAUSE I DIDNT SEE EM LIVE...I was fucking born in 2001....
I was born in 2002, atleast we were on the same planet as dimebag for a short period of time, out of the millions and billions of years of earth we happened to be alive at same time
OVER AND OUT in `90-s year??? Wow!
Dime playing Hollow at the end as an outro
