- Byron Scott joins Roggin and Rodney to talk about his friend who tragic Kobe Bryant who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash back on January 26th. Scott.
B. Scott knows what he's talking about. He saw all the greats, Magic, Bird, Jordan face to face. And don't sleep, B. Scott was no joke himself.
B. Scott is one of the greatest to never make an all-star team... The Lakers teams he played on were just too deep with other perennial all-stars like Magic, Kareem, and Worthy.
Kobe taught us if we truly want to be the best no matter what your passion is, you must put in the work and do what no other person is doing.
#Facts💯💜💛💜💛🐍
I been tryna tell my baby son this since he pick up a ball.... an in today world this kids see Steph Curry the Kyrie the KD Lebron the end result not knowing they work day in and night to get to greatness it's not overnight
Mateen Quwi c
His helicopter crash was planned, watch the documentary ruclips.net/video/Vmn0jVMrH3I/видео.html
he taught us you might not be as gifted like AI VC TMAC Bron but he trained so hard that made up the difference that's the mentality we all need to have
Talking about him in the past tense is so surreal- life so short- rip kobe- the GOAT
I say that every day, this whole situation is surreal. I wanna wake up from this horrible nightmare.
Its strange for sure. I just got comfortable a few weeks ago to watch videos like this but I just cant wrap my head around it. I thought I had accepted it...
😢
Kobe was a special person, its hurt how the world lost a legend like that. Rip Kobe, Gianna and the 7 angels.
Amen Kobe what a huge lost for the fans that love KB more his daughter Gianna but that was Angel still is 🙏 SIP KOBE GIGI BRYANT
🌈
It's so true
His IQ was higher than any other basketball player.
when Kobe retired from the Lakers, I retired from looking at them.
This is the impact that Kobe Bryant has had on the game, myself
and around the 🌍.
Kobe that Mamba Mentality was exceptional.
🌈 🙏🏽 🤲🏾 👑 🌟
Damn!! Kobe is sumthing else man!!
Byron Scott is a Class Act. Thanks for sharing this story about Kobe Bryant with us. It’s inspiring.
Ultimate respect from an OG... Kobe was that guy!
Thanks for this Mr Scott!
SHOOTING IN THE DARK. Damn. RIP Legend
Such an Awesome story makes me want to work hard.
Thankyou Byron
Problem is, it makes you wanna watch more RUclips videos with Kobe stories...
Shaq, “Kobe, there’s no I in team”.
Kobe, “ Yeah, but there’s an M E in that motherf*cker!”. One of the greatest statements to eulogize one of the greatest competitors in history.
Last of a dying breed. They just don't make em like they used to. Good interview.
Some people are born to be great and play for iconic teams , Kobe was born to be a Laker 💜💛
@gary corr haha yeah coz being from Europe most are lakerfans here that alone makes them iconic same as the Yankees 😜
The lights were actually on, Kobe shot them out!
Dope 🔥
Right on!
Yes
You both are so well spoken ,and love, what your sharing with us ,about, Kobe......Kobe Bryant will always be the best in my eyes. Loved everything about him. Family and Sports.
Thank you B Scott
Byron Scott is one of my favorite Lakers! #lakerfan4life
This hurts... But still awesome.
I remember what anonymous NBA scout once said about the major difference between AI and Kobe. He said, “AI loved doing shit when the lights were on. Kobe loved doing his shit when the lights were off.” Thank you Kobe 💜💛
Kobe is super excitement, I miss him...
Nice, Kobe out there practicing MJ's moves!!! RIP 🙏
This still stings man and I'm at a loss...and I can't explain it....pretty great at self-analysis and psychology but....damn man I'll never see those two courtside again chillin like best friends....time is short folks so hold those you love and tell them you love them
Thanks for sharing this history of Kobe in his younger years as a great player you are so right Kobe was I'm the only one so give me the ball act like you can play show me Linda j peace ❤️💯❤️❤️💯🌈
McGrady was talented and people sleep on McGrady. As for more talented, I think I Byron meant more athleticism. Kobe admitted as much.
Byron was and is still dealing with the pain. I keep thinking what if they didn’t get on that helicopter, how can this be true...His presence was so large and bright his presence is leaving a huge void.
Love you and Anita, Byron!! Miss Kobe’s leadership, Mr. Scott🙏🏽
Who's Anita?
Alexander Bemar I believe it is his ex wife 💜💛
RIP BEAN!!! 😢😢😢😢 We miss you like CRAZY!!!!!
Fred Roggin was my ESPN on Sundays when I was a kid
Mr.Scott was one of my favorite Lakers to, he was tough and could play, also James Worth, Magic Johnson was a beast
Kobe style wouldn’t had meshed in that showtime era, not even Jordan. That was the last era of great team basketball, Jordan started the superstar era that spawned Kobe.
Shaq had to sit down a lot for the last couple minutes of games, but no sweat #8 to the rescue
Amir Hassan Yes. Because Shaq can’t shoot free throws. Opponents had to do the hack a shaq. Kobe was the man down the stretch that’s for sure.
GOAT!!!
thanks for sharing Mr Scott 😊✌✌✌
Byron's got the right stuff......part of the greatest basketball team ever.
Fk man, im gonna miss kobe forever. And oddly enough I’m weirdly less afraid of death after his passing. Idk why
Nugget Doozy I resonate with you. Kobe taught me not to be afraid of failure. Not to be afraid of negativity. Not to be afraid of pushing yourself to be the best. And now, taught me to not fear death. RIP Mamba
Drew Johnson 🙏🏻
For me, it’s know that, as long as you give your all while you can... you’ll be satisfied. Most people are scared of death, whether it be the death of their career or their life, because they are afraid they won’t be able to reach their maximum potential. However, the biggest regret is usually due to the fact that they could of done more when they were given the chance. Kobe laid it all on the court, both in basketball and in life. He knew, no matter what the result, he put blood, sweat, and tears into it. This is why he looked peaceful after basketball and is peaceful now. I aim to approach life the same way, and as long as I give my all, I’m not afraid of death.
Byron Scott was one sharp shooter too, 3 point shooter.
Nobody saw kobe coming....when the best teammate worked harder than you..#24 was in a planet of his own..
shaq and kobe were both asked the same question (separately)
... if you guys would have stayed together, how many championships would you have won?
shaq - 5 or 6
kobe - we would have won every year if shaq was in shape
Mr Scott
He sounds like Jim Hill.
Love Byron
Actually what I noticed since I started watching Kobe in 99' is the more difficult the shot Kobe made em, there's a difficult shot vid on RUclips I suggest you watch, look at Greg Popovich interview on Kobe, Phil Jackson. First time seeing this and it's old, krazy hes gone it's more special now
maybe if all Nba players vote for seasons MVP and not the anti-Kobe media Kobe should have 3-4 seasons MVP imagine 2000-2004 no finals mvp and season mvp how many time he carried the team on his shoulder in regular-season playoffs finals when shaq was fouled out and graduated 6 fouls 2005-2006 2009-2010 no seasons mvp then nash got back to back mvp 80 percent NBA players watching how good he is practice 3 hours earlier before the game talking how hard he practices every dam days and nights thats we called part of life mystery, jordan no question his the goat but when jordan retired he focus on his business that all period Kobe retired he shares all his knowledge in basketball teaches young children adult ncaa men and women players WNBA players nba players writing books and novels making anime movies and won oscar awards this is the big difference between the great legends and goat of basketball and the black mamba rip idol#8#24forlife,
It's because people are jealous of Kobe, they did not want him to be better than Michael, even though he became better than Michael, everybody try to put him back further and further, and all he did was rise higher and higher
That video he’s talking about is on RUclips , b Scott knew from jump
Amazing
Kobe was a Goat
my main man KB..!!!!!
If you are lazy, Kobe was going to rub you the wrong way. 😀😀😀
If you put 100% effort into your craft you are going to go right back at Kobe.
What Byron Scott should simply say is...."mediocrity is the enemy of the pursuit of excellence"!
Explain
@@soniadoreendoreensonia8237 Kobe was ALWAYS in pursuit of excellence, he demanded it of himself and others. His type of drive raises the intensity level in games or at practice. If you're a person that's been skating by and you're satisfied, nobody really notices your mediocrity, until the intensity level is raised and you're exposed because of it. If you settle for mediocrity...envy creeps in. Sometimes, you'll even become an active opponent of the person raising the bar. This is why there exists so much enmity surrounding Kobe during his early years because he was 17-18 years old with this drive exposing grown men.
Mr. Scott
Shooting basket ball in the dark ,kind of did that in the hood parks in nyc
@10:00-11:12 straight facts and fire. Sad but am sure some cats will testicle up sooner or later.
Michael Scott aint got nothing on the real Mr. Scott!
10 easily.

A shame he's not coaching right now. He couldn't do any worse than some of the current head coaches.
On another note, Rodney Peete's wife is still gorgeous.
🌍♥️♥️😇😇🌍🖤
This era of ballers are "Soft."
KB RIP!!! Last of the old school. Correct this era is super soft!!! Marshmallows and sensitive. Beta males. Non masculine males. Giannis is the old 1 I may give a pass.
