Fahrenheit is one of my absolute favs - and it’s really divisive amongst the people around me. But after all, what counts is that I like what I wear - and I really enjoy smelling Fahrenheit!
I personally love Phantom and have gotten pretty positive feedback from friends and family, but I’m not surprised about how mixed reactions are on it. Seems like people either love the sweetness or find it to be too much. Being in my early 20s and having just gotten into fragrances with my whopping 3 bottle collection 😂, let’s see in a couple years time if I still love it.
@@slumped9677 I do not but the OG Dior homme is on my short list. I went to try D&G the one and Dior homme intense at Ulta and they were both bone dry so I can't call it
Fahrenheit is my favorite fragrance of all time. I have over 50 frags and I'm always confident to put on my Fahrenheit. There is more personality and daring in this scent than in at least 90% of all other fragrances.
You got that right, only real men wear Fahrenheit, I'm glad that nobody likes it that means I'll be the only one who wears it. Top notch bad boy colonge
I'm in my mid forties, Kouros and YSL Jazz were the main scents I first used, later Cool Water and Joop Homme and then CK One. They are scents of my early adulthood and bring back a LOT of memories. You will never get a dislike of said fragrances for that reason alone.
I don't understand the Phantom hate. It really shines in cool weather with a small amount of sprays. It's got a similar vibe to Ultra Male (I own both and find Phantom wearable in more situations). To me, Phantom is more subdued and versatile. Maybe it's just how it smells on my skin. I think people who hate on Phantom either only smelled it on paper, or not given it a fair try.
Ooh, Farenheit is one of my first luvs...Aside from loving the scent itself, it is tied to the memory of early relationships. Plus, I still get compliments when i'm wearing it. I do get how it's not for everyone though, it's all good.
Yup, I keep saying I think they have changed the formula from the eighties slightly. But if you got an old bottle I don't see how anyone can hate it,just my opinion though 🤣
I keep smelling joop every so often because I can't figure out if I hate it or like it. It's so polarizing, even the person wearing it has a conflict within themselves about it. I got the small bottle for like $16 usd so I'm not too bothered by not using it often.
Can't agree on the Phantom hate; I didn't like it much at first but it's definitely grown on me. I wear it on nights out and it's one of my most complimented fragrances + my gf loves it on me (bear in mind I am in my early 20's, which might explain it 😂)
I feel like up close fahrenheit might smell like gas but in the air my friend who is a girl, 24, loved it and thought it was fresh but masculine smelling. she said it smells like someone who is put together and someone you just want to be around.
Dolce Gabbana K eau de parfum and Eau De toilet are great fragrances 💞 I wear the Eau De toilet to work and I have gotten Soo many compliments it's not even funny!!! I'm a truck driver and I interact with men and women and I've gotten great response from both genders!!! My point is that you should wear what you like!!! All fragrances are subjective in terms of them being good or bad!!! I live in sunny warm California so D&G,K is just the go to fragrance for work and play and it last a very long time on my skin!!! 10+ hours when I spray on clothes.
Fahrenheit is my signature, I'm not a man but it interacts so well with my skin. I've had compliments on it but some people get BIG MAD when they find out it's a men's perfume lmao. Imo generally "sensual" scents can go either way gender wise, really depends on the person's skin and their energy. Some men smell really hot in zesty floral women's scents.
Kouros is wonderful, as is Fahrenheit, but I really need to be in the mood for the latter. I like Joop, but I never wear it anywhere near my face and one spray is enough.
Along with 1 Million EDT, Kouros has gotten me the most compliments I have ever received. And, believe me, where I'm from almost nobody compliments others on how good they smell. Two ex-girlfriends only wanted me to wear Kouros because they loved it so much. Happily have two bottles of the stuff because I think it smells Alpha.
I think Dior Fahrenheit is a great fragrance, really. I don't quite think that fragrances get out of fashion, in my world, I mean; either they are good, well blended, well conceived, or not. And one fragrance that I find good, or very good, tends to remain good or very good.
Definitely "Pro" Black Orchid EDP. Most fragheads rate it unisex and I'd agree. Nothing about it swings it heavily in either direction. It smells luxurious and the performance is out of this world. ONE spray to my chest underneath my shirt and I catch whiffs all day. That might make it the best performer out of my eighty colognes. Might? I think it is as I scratch my head to think of another with that stellar performance.
So I suppose I accomplished my mission of getting something no one else is wearing when I bought a bottle of Joop Homme AND a bottle of Cool Water 😅 I'm close to buying some Farenheit too. Guess I have bad taste? LOL
i think Dior Fahrenheit is one of those fragrance you either love so much or you hate it absolutely. either you rate it 10 or you rate it 1. No in-betweens. it will just depend on the person smelling it. i rate it 10. best fragrance in christian dior. school of scent also said this is his favorite fragrance within the brand.
Very interesting video. I have a small vintage bottle of Kouros and although I don't wear it often, I think it's brilliant. The vintage Habit Rouge EDT I wear has civet in its formulation as well and that little bit of skank is mind-blowing in it. I actually picked up a bottle of Joop! this week, just wanted to check out all the hate. Haven't worn it yet on skin, but from what I smelled initially, I think it's great. But then I like a lot of the old school scents. Looking forward to wearing it.
Having read all the reviews and opinions of the youtube community on Joop, i decided to blind buy it. Honestly, I like it, it really depends on how many sprays you put. 1 or 2 sprays max in the winter/autumn time is all you need, more than that and then it might become nauseating. But with minimal sprays and letting it dry down a bit before going out is perfect and doesn't smell too strong
well, you are very lucky, bcus for alot of ppl it gives a headache, top note is ok, and pretty juicy, but its so synthetic, smells like eye lash or smth like this for most of people, im impressed some dont find it annoying
@@Yoxa4 i think it gives people headaches cause those who spray it on, they spray too much. Or they spray it during the summer. I got my bottle 4 months ago and i only started putting it on once it started getting cooler

@@Yoxa4 did you spray a tiny bit on the paper strip or on your skin? It kinda smelt like cough syrup but mainly rasberry on my skin compared to the paper. I get the feeling that when youtubers say that a fragrance is "synthetic" its a bad thing, although women that complemented me didn't care if its synthetic or not, as long as it smelled nice 💁
Fahrenheit remember me of my early teenage years when it was huge. I think it’s why people don’t like it today. Dior should do a reboot on it like they did with Sauvage. Cause a part of me still really like it.
I am feeling so bad when I smell YSL Y edp. I am feeling extremely dizzy and I want to throw up just by applying 1 spray. 05/22 batch, can smell it for hours even after cleaning neck with water
I used to wear the original Fahrenheit and I loved it but I agree that the jury was deeply divided regarding it. I also agree with you regarding Tom Ford Black orchid. I found it in the woman's fragrance section! The sale's person told me that it is a essentially a woman's fragrance but some people consider it unisex.
Joop was my go too clubbing scent back in the day had good success with it as well, although now as my nose has changed I just find it too youthful and synthetic and I do think there are other things that can now take its place in what that one was trying to achieve
I think of myself as a "nonfragile", "no snow flake" type of person. I won't use an umbrella when it rains and won't always use gloves in the winter lol so i thought Kouros? Pshhh im gonna love it! I was wrong, got a sample of it and it made me gag in the opening. After a while its OK but still not a love for me.
The only one i actually agree with calvin klein one... the rest, not even close. Im still wondering why lalique alextreme isnt here.. it gives me a wet cabin in the woods on a rainy day feel, but i wouldnt dare wear it. I really dont agree with black orchid tho. That perfume alone is enough to beat the likes of bleu de chanels.
I'm a big fan of black orchid edp, just gotten it recently and i have not been disappointed. i think it has enough mystery to it that it's not feminine. besides in my culture and where I'm from this fragrance would often be described by other people around me as oriental and that's the reason why it is very acceptable for men here, more than women in fact. also performence is nuclear on my skin, i sprayed this on myself in the evening, slept and woke up and i could still smell it on myself so that's really great in my book.

I can't agree about Black Afgano, I have Anubis Kiss from Alexandria Fragrances, it's clone, but that's my best perfume, I can spray it on my arm, staying in my room and just smell it for 2-3 hours, it's amazing, relaxing, original, different, it's a dark smell from hell. I Love it!

CK One. Its watered down version of Creed, SMW. Its a nice fragrance to my nose but its just not as classy or as balanced as SMW. I like either of these as a scent but both have performance issues and you're better off with a Clone House replica of SMW to be honest. There is definitely a slight feminine note about them and that can come across sickly so I get that about it but, otherwise a lovely clean fragrance.
I've had a bottle of joop laying about for 15 years. I bought an umbro tracksuit so it was actually wearable haha. I also had a free sample of joop la parfum. After smelling la parfum I actually appreciate joop homme more because I hate la parfum. Fahrenheit is king. Kouros, I didn't understand the hate until I smelled the final drydown on a scent strip. Yea. OK. Cool water is nice but I only own the mild deodorant doux. It performs like most edts, versatile and good for smelling clean. Black afgano is a good formal scent. Fahrenheit can be quite divisive. I absolutely love it. However the EDT has been changed many times over the years. The new ish Parfum version is outstanding. Its my all time favourite.
That's what I also said. If most were to get a bottle from the eighties I don't think there would be any hate at all. But like you mention they have fool around with the original formula.
Nothing wrong with doir/f, ysl/k, ck1 & cool water. I still wear them to this day, it takes you back to old days, what about ysl/opium . Shame their not as strong as 10 years ago.
Funny think about Dior Fahrenheit. Went to seophora AND Ulta to smell this gasoline mixture because it is SO HATED. Both locations the tester was BONE DRY. The only other bone dry tester I found was Eros EDP. And 4:28 is classic. Hilarious memes
Cool Waters is a brilliant fragrance but can be potent. I get the hate for its popularity, and I know smell is subjective but I dont think its a bad fragrance. Its always worked for anytime of the year and has been a great easy choice since I can remember.
2 youtubers recomended Joop Homme Ice (Gents Scents) and Joop Homme Wild (Chaos Fragrences), both of these made me mad and wanted to gag when i smelt both. Hate Hate Hate!!!! Never Again
I think that the cool water female and male version are actually quite good, they are just overused and people starting consider them as "Bad" or "annoying" The joop homme I kinda agree that it is bad, while my partner likes it, it was the worst Parfum I ever smelled especially during my pregnancy 😅
Joop! aside, powerhouses are my favorite and I wear them to show dominance. I own kennels. P.S. I have only received 3 unsolicited scent compliments in public in the past 2 years. One was with Paco Rabanne pour Homme from a ;young woman in her late 20s.
I'm 62, wore Joop Homme and Fahrenheit many years ago quite a bit. Actually picked up a bottle of Joop a few months ago, still like it. Will admit, kind of forgotten what Fahrenheit smells like. May need a sample.
Kouros.....ooof. I get it.....but I just don't like it, its very dated. Versace The Dreamer is a better fragrance if you want Old School but still works today.
Thinking of fragrance smelling of cat piss....I get this when I spray Versace The Dreamer on my skin. I've discovered that I'm not the only one who says this about Dreamer. So now I spray it on my pillow before going to sleep and it is a beautiful night time fragrance. It just doesn't work when reacting with my skin chemistry.
I had a spray on a card of ROja Parfums Elixir. Anyway, the card ended up in a pile. The cat smelt it and went mad. Just crazy. I suspect it might be the whale shit that set her off
I was surprised not to see the good old 4711 🍋💧 showing up on this video. It's possibly the most hated Christmas present after a pair of socks or a box of melted chocolates... It has that fantastic amalfi neroli citrusy fresh vibe and is dirt cheap! 😍🤩 Against the grain here.....
Most definitely. The only I see now is the newer version does smell more like kerosene than a bottle from the eighties and I think its probably the younger generation not liking it.
I agree with the Phantom hate. I hope that if they go down the EDP route they do something similar to what they did with 1 million prive where they flipped the script on the '1 million DNA'.
Phantom is a masterpiece omar, in my opinion. Well the bottle itself that i hate..... i Don't know why people love one million rather than phantom. I love phantom....
@@Adam-om9hu the bottle are to gimmick for me. Cause the dna of phantom very mature. Just missmatch with the bottle. On a contrary, eros edt are very very youthfull dna, but i love the bottle (LoL), cause the bottle very mature.
I'm sorry, but Phantom is not good and the bottle is even worse very childish, nothing against creative designs but it looks so poorly crafted as if it some chinese fake toy. One Million is a "simple" but bulletproof formula, the sparkling grapefruit, oriental spices with seductive sweetness and dark woods and leather - components girls and women just desire and go naughty for - be it Stronger With You, Code, Le Male-Line or other fragrances that combine these categories are pure wild and hot lust But Phantom is just strange fruit-sweetness with a awkward dose of rhubarb - which is what makes it so offputting that weird green dirt and vegetable smell 🤮
@@LA-st6dq That's your skin, bub. I don't get any green, vegetable smell. I get a lemon smell off the top then a nice lavender and vanilla mix as it dries down into a more smoky smell at the end.
@@RELEVANT2KILL My skin is fine, but there's rhubarb in it and if you ever had smell or taste rhubarb liquor that's what Phantom smells like in skin and off the sprayer, on paper 😂 all of the people in my clique say the same when they tried it but also that's what alot of people expierence if you check out RUclips,.. 😄 I'm not saying there aren't people who like it, but its a very difficult release, the weakest of Paco Rabanne. You have to like rhubarb to enjoy the fragrance.

I love the Fahrenheit!! One of my favorites.
Nothing wrong with doir/f, ysl/k, ck1 & cool water. I still wear them to this day, it takes you back to old days, what about ysl/opium . Shame their not as strong as 10 years ago.
I had JOOP back in the 80's. I think I threw it away. It was a smelly beast.
Joop! Homme, it's not that bad, for the price, after you wear it for a week, and you're nose blind, it's fine. :D
Fahrenheit is a genuine superstar! Masterful fragrance
Could you do a review of House of Kerosene fragrances?
D and g K is very nice spicy freshie which is unique, not for everyone but underrated
2 youtubers recomended Joop Homme Ice (Gents Scents) and Joop Homme Wild (Chaos Fragrences), both of these made me mad and wanted to gag when i smelt both. Hate Hate Hate!!!! Never Again
Are you getting miniatures for review or do you have really big hands? BTW, I love Kouros.
I think that the cool water female and male version are actually quite good, they are just overused and people starting consider them as "Bad" or "annoying"
The joop homme I kinda agree that it is bad, while my partner likes it, it was the worst Parfum I ever smelled especially during my pregnancy 😅
Love cool water! Perfect for summer and the gym .
Kouros is number 1 for winter.
Kouros is so Nice.. it devides People. So for an avg joe like me, i get both hate and love for it. So best reaction perfume ever
PACO RABANNE SMELLS GREAT!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽EVERY GIRL I KNOW LOVES IT! N FAHRENHEIT IS ALSO 1 OF MY FAVORITE 😍 ❤️
Fahrenheit is. A true masterpiece .
GIT and Cool Water were created by the same perfumer, Pierre Bourdon.
i agree with ck one being only for gym, that and legend spirit. someone should make a tierlist on gym fragrances
Joop! aside, powerhouses are my favorite and I wear them to show dominance. I own kennels. P.S. I have only received 3 unsolicited scent compliments in public in the past 2 years. One was with Paco Rabanne pour Homme from a ;young woman in her late 20s.
Fahrenheit masterpiece
I have many niche fragrances but fahrenheit is the best fragrance in my big collection
I'm 62, wore Joop Homme and Fahrenheit many years ago quite a bit. Actually picked up a bottle of Joop a few months ago, still like it. Will admit, kind of forgotten what Fahrenheit smells like. May need a sample.
You Need 25 degree plus weather to wear DG K edp.
i know atleast 3 people that still rock joop homme its still pretty populair and i also like it if you go easy on the trigger
I love Joop.. all ways have.. since middle school.
Kouros.....ooof. I get it.....but I just don't like it, its very dated. Versace The Dreamer is a better fragrance if you want Old School but still works today.
Mancera- HINDU Kush
Lots of people like it but to anamalic for me
joop is good idk what ppl talking about gotta try the new one when price drop
fragrances for uni environment pls
I really enjoy it, as do others I know, but I live in America, so maybe the perception is different?
I wear black Orchid in all seasons I will not hear black orchid slander
I love Fahrenheit. Wear it since the 90ies!
CK ONE is still a fantastic refreshing fragrance today. Don't know what the haters are talking about 🤓
Kouros smells like something you clean your toilette with. I had it and only weared it cause I had a friend who actually liked it.
Joop used to be great, it doesn’t smell the same as it did back in the 90s. Something has definitely changed
Cool Water reminds me of Irish Spring bar soap
from the niche world -- Unutamam by Nishane is horrendous
Fahrenheit is a masterpiece!
Most definitely. The only I see now is the newer version does smell more like kerosene than a bottle from the eighties and I think its probably the younger generation not liking it.
@@blkarmani yes for sure it was again and again reformulated! 😭😭😭. It's always the same thing with all the fragrances we love
Joop, Fahrenheit, and Issey Miyake for life.
Phantoms bottle is cool and smells so good. I'm 33 and have about 40 bottles in my collection and phantom is still one of my favorites.
One Million is a "simple" but bulletproof formula, the sparkling grapefruit, oriental spices with seductive sweetness and dark woods and leather - components girls and women just desire and go naughty for - be it Stronger With You, Code, Le Male-Line or other fragrances that combine these categories are pure wild and hot lust
But Phantom is just strange fruit-sweetness with a awkward dose of rhubarb - which is what makes it so offputting that weird green dirt and vegetable smell 🤮
I'm not saying there aren't people who like it, but its a very difficult release, the weakest of Paco Rabanne. You have to like rhubarb to enjoy the fragrance.
Can’t get enough of black Afgano. Wonderful scent profile. Only problem is too expensive . If The same price can get 100 ml, will be awesome.
JOOP HOMME.... UNIQUE!.. UNDERATED!.. AN EXCELLENT FRAGRANCE 4 SUB ZERO TEMPERATURES ♥️💚💛
Dolce Gabbana toilet water is the best for daily using! Its me and I am 38!😉ook… you got your ears …try it and speak to RUclips!🤘🏻😉
Black Orchid is great, I don't understand why people like the parfum more. The parfum smells too edible and dumbed down to me.
