@@Savage-sr6lh I think the 3rd time was when Warrior's father passed away and he didn't attend the shows. its been a while but The problem with this 1 was that I think WWF use to go to convention centers to do samples of merchandise ideas they had to sell later on. And warrior had this phrase "Always Believe" and he registered it. I think all the wrestlers would go to it to help promote the merchandise WWF would want to sell to buyers to make more money. And they told Warrior especially not to go that day. I think when he use to wrestle back then he would always see the conventional sells and knew how they worked. He surprisingly showed up and they stole his phrase and used it without his permission. When he did this 3rd contract with Vince Warrior in the contract said he would work for the WWF if they paid him X amount of dollars and they let him plug his merchandise and his comic book. And he'll cut the contract if they miss used anything of Warrior's intellectual property or him. And since they used his phrase without his permission, and it was copyrighted? Uff....😥! @@Savage-sr6lh after this I think Vince wanted to run the Warrior out and made sure he never got to Use the name Ultimate Warrior to shut him out of buisness. Vince tried to copyright the name Ultimate Warrior to strip him of money and Vince can keep all of Warrior's properties as his own to be the complete owner. Ultimate Warrior during this battle with Vince registered his name permanently to Warrior so he can use the name for buisness $$$. That way U.W. can use the name Warrior because it's his now government name. Vince and Warrior fought over who was the originator of the Ultimate Warrior name and again Warrior won. So every time the WWE used the Ultimate Warrior's merchandise they had to talk to him 1st, negotiate, and cut him a check. Warrior usually got away with branching out of the WWF without a consequence. He basically got dismissed but didn't have to pay anything the back to the WWF. WWF would usually mess up in the contract, tried to fire him, he would take them to court, the court would be on his side, Warrior would cut his contract short, but he would still get paid extra.

Facts: After the aftermath of the 2007 Benoit Family Tragedy happened, Chris Benoit's eldest son David mentioned in an interview that Vince McMahon and the rest of the WWE crew did not pay Chris Benoit's royalty checks.
Would language need to be included to say that in the event of death Benoit's loyalty money would be paid out to his beneficiary? If that's the case chances are his wife was listed as such, and since she died that all became null and void. Not to mention benoit probably has the least watched and publicized tape collection right now.
Since WWE deleted Benoit from their history and banned saying his name, the royalty check would be pretty small. No point in wasting paper with a 0 on it.
@@TRivera13 in theory of a match that included Benoit in it could illicit royalties. Like say the WWE Championship match between him and Kurt Angle at Royal Rumble 03?
See so many guys just get mesmerized by vince or intimidated. Idk why, I get it, he's the "GodFather" of this whole thing. Only Jessie remembers when he wasn't.
I've always wondered that. For all his success, notoriety an wealth, McMahon just seems incredibly fragile and insecure. A lot of his behavior is rather childlike.
I know the Honky Tonk Man and Roddy Piper widow sued Vince McMahon over the same lawsuit. McMann was paying royalties to Jerry Lawler and when HTM found out Vince was paying his cousin and not him he sued him for it.
Kinda makes one think whether or not that whole stepping down as the CEO thing is legit as far as what they tell us and Stephanie taking time off at the same time but has to come right back as CEO?..Because a whole lot of people can now sue Vince for those royalties because he sold out to an outside entity and made tons of cash......
Bill Nye the science guy had a lawsuit where he wanted 50-50 of his show on Disney+ however the judge only ruled that he could get 20% of royalties however he cited that the streaming service is basically another alternation of home media release DVDs VHS Blu-ray etc. so this will be quite interesting going forward if more people sue streaming services for royalties.
@Salem Al Maskari In terms of the whole Cody Rhodes situation that was because WWE had the trademark to Cody Rhodes’s name at the time since Cody Rhodes real name is actually “Cody Runnels” he didn’t start using Cody Rhodes until he joined WWE the first time in 2007 because of this WWE had the trademark rights to the name. Had it been his birth name then yes he would be right but it not. However as of mid 2020 Cody Rhodes was able to obtain the trademark rights to The Cody Rhodes name is WWE let it expire and didn’t renew it the next day Cody Rhodes immediately filed for trademark of it and after a couple of skirmishes Cody Rhodes was able to get it within the next couple of months as from mid 2020 until his departure from AEW in early 2021 he was using the Cody Rhodes name on AEW television and not “Cody” as that’s what he had been using on AEW television prior to 2020 as well as the other promotions that he was in. Obviously now that he’s back in WWE he’s going to use the name again however if he ever leaves WWE again this time the Cody Rhodes name will go with him because Cody Rhodes owns the trademark to the name now WWE only has the licensing agreement to the name while he’s under contract with WWE now.
@Salem Al Maskari As for the Jesse Ventura situation he actually has a court order so I’m not exactly sure how NBC Universal can get around that because he is right WWE isn’t using the network in the United States anymore it’s not in House anymore there they licensed it out to NBC Universal for the peacock so I can’t see how Jesse wouldn’t have a claim for this he really should seek out legal advice if he hasn’t already I’m assuming he has but he would be going up against NBC so that’s a lot of money he’d probably have to shell out.

Uff....😥! That was an automatic win for Warrior.
Since Warrior yelled and screamed in promos and did steroids, i think they thought he wasn't that sharp. Also they never thought he would put up a fight. But he did. And won this 1. I think he got out of wrestling Scott free and they payed him the rest of the contract. I think they also payed for using his phrase.
Jesse Ventura should appear on AEW as Luchasaurus father, The Sexual Tyrannosaurus
Thats, actually kind of fucking brilliant for a cameo backstage, that’s a good line, he probably won’t drop the rest of that quote though lol 😂
Jesse Ventura is a best funniest former commentator, Jericho.
I was entertained by his mind and truth. Witty is an amazing thing Jesse Ventura has.
If you get this message, Chris. Ask Jesse to start his own RUclips channel. There are a lot of people that like listening to him, plus there is a ton of conspiracy people in this day and age.
The story about Hulk Hogan ratting on Jesse Ventura is so great about making a union
What story
That navy seals story was awesome.
Let's be fair about this - if Vince has to pay out royalties, how can he afford to pay hush money to his mistresses?
Lol you sound jealous hilarious
@@charronrose68 I'm not all that jealous. I mean, it would be nice to have all that money and get to run a huge entertainment corporation, but it's also nice to be a decent human being that cares for others and treats people with respect. I guess that's a wash.
@@charronrose68 Lol you sound simpy hilarious
@@jonlavigne3270 yes including paying royalties to it's top wrestlers.
@@rojayreid908 every wrestler deserves royalties, the amount should vary of course
I love Jesse Ventura .
That's an i interesting point. I hope other wrestlers follow jesse. Good for jesse
Jesse Ventura is one of the best ever!
Jesse Ventura is the best!
I learned to like and trust this man, nobody will be perfect in or out of politics but Jesse broke that barrier!! Love this man!!! Vet
Always enjoy Jesse's story.
Outstanding and Most Excellent.
With all the talk from fans wanting Jim Ross to be replaced on commentary I think, Jesse Ventura would be the guy to do it.
@@connor7036 oh but I'm pretty sure he's messed up other names as well.
@@connor7036 he called dynamite WWE dynamite
@@connor7036 how is that woke?
Jesse is a very interesting guy
The government probably gave him a message saying you run we kill your family the USA is evil
.....Jesse....USA Loves You.
Thank You for ur Service, Governor.
Not sure how Jesse is still married if he wins every argument.
Jesse might actually be a better idea for president than either leader of the two garbage parties that get taken too seriously
💯
Wait, so past or current wrestlers dont get royalties from WWE/Peacock?
Apparently not
Hot damn I love listening to Ventura.
Jesse Ventura is a Legend
Jesse is one smart dude.
I cannot disagree with anything Ventura said. By the way, I was doing my Ventura impression as I was listening to him, LOL!
I love how uncle Chris uploaded this part, but not the part where Jesse talks about the people who went to Capital Riots, of which Jericho’s wife was a part of, where Jericho just cut to commercial break 😂
Jericho really is the greatest mark for himself ever.
You know this guy is hard work 😪
I'm so pissed this guy never ran for President. People say he was one of the greatest governors when he was in office.
He was an awful governor. Lol.
Jesse Ventura for President 2024!!
Good for Jesse standing up and getting what was owed to him
moderna royalties
Hundred percent Jericho and edge they were the best boys should get money to they put their life on the line
Could of gone on to an amazing wrestling career, still a legend though.
Didn’t Buff Bagwell sue McMahon for the same reason? Something about his original wcw contract said he would be paid for appearing on shows, pay per views, video games and any other media format not invented yet, in this case streaming.
I am going to look into Buff Bagwell's Law Sue.. keep a eye on it to see the arguments from it..
Royalties on a forklift match
Jesse wasn a decent worker in the ring. But as a commentator, he was gold. And also on the mic was great. And I may not agree with everything he says, I have incredible respect for the fact that he always stood up for himself. And never allowed Vince or that tool Hogan to push him around. He stood by the things he said and never backed off.
McMahon obviously isn't too sharp nor are his lawyers. As a former legal professional, who has handled hundreds of cases and business transactions, I can honestly say that there are ways McMahon could have avoided the quantum merit suit that Jesse instituted. It needs to be done at signing of a contract. Love Jesse and of course, I'm glad that he won, but just saying there are some wealthy people who just go through the world and are dumb. Lawyers too. Some, not all. A lot of wealthy people and many attorneys are very sharp. Be careful when choosing an attorney because you can really get screwed if they do not know their field. Jesse had a good one.
He's worth billions. He's obviously not dumb.
@@ButterBallTheOpossum it was a dumb move. Period. Give it up. The contract should have been different. You obviously work at a job or have a low key small business. Nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of billionaires who are not too smart-- especially the one's from generational wealth. Most very smart people who are in business probably will never be billionaires. Kim K. is a good example. Still studying to pass the real bar. Please.
Well, Taker DID have a movie alongside Hogan in Mr. Nanny. So Taker should also have royalties from Hollywood as well.
Jesse 2024
@Chris Jericho: they still put out DVDs man. I just saw a bunch in Sunrise Records here in Ottawa. Including this years Wrestlemania
jessie is a great story teller
Unless there’s a video attached - I’m forever convinced it’s Will Sasso talking
This used to mean something, I'm going in there mano a mano, why don't you tell me your such a patriot?
Imagine Jesse on AEW commentary…
I would love to see the back and forth between him JR.
Imagine NO
He’s who I most want
Jesse Ventura on Color
And Kevin Kelly on Play by Play
Is AEW paying royalties?
Jesse Ventura still one of my heroes! The world will plunge even further when we lose more people like him
Jesse "The Man" Ventura 💪💪
The Man
The Body
Jesse Ventura.
Jesse the beta male.
I absolutely adore Jesse Ventura
The best part of this interview is when Jesse called out the January 6 protesters (which Jericho’s dumb wife and mother in law participated in) and Jericho just had to sit and take it 🤣
Facts: After the aftermath of the 2007 Benoit Family Tragedy happened, Chris Benoit's eldest son David mentioned in an interview that Vince McMahon and the rest of the WWE crew did not pay Chris Benoit's royalty checks.
Since that tragedy WWE doesn't mention him or sell merchandise with his likeness. What royalty checks would he be getting?
@@TRivera13 in theory of a match that included Benoit in it could illicit royalties.
Like say the WWE Championship match between him and Kurt Angle at Royal Rumble 03?
@@battaglino77 Yeah that's true. But are they even still selling DVDs?
Jesse & others should sue because if you own your name & likeness, you should be getting streaming royalties
And yet, after the case(s) Vince/WWE removed a lot of Jesse's commentary from their DVD's 😞
Jesse could ya repeat that again I didn’t hear it the first four times
I miss Jesse doing color. He was the best. Chico Santana, Chump Hogan...
My favorite... "The Pukester"
They defd still make DVD's
I know the Honky Tonk Man and Roddy Piper widow sued Vince McMahon over the same lawsuit. McMann was paying royalties to Jerry Lawler and when HTM found out Vince was paying his cousin and not him he sued him for it.
Yes yes yes to that he mean and stephanie shame on them I pray for they soul to go to the good side
Love this guy
Jesse Ventura 2024
Kinda makes one think whether or not that whole stepping down as the CEO thing is legit as far as what they tell us and Stephanie taking time off at the same time but has to come right back as CEO?..Because a whole lot of people can now sue Vince for those royalties because he sold out to an outside entity and made tons of cash......
Jesse is always steps ahead.
I'm so sad that Jesse "The Body" Ventura didn't go for US President after his term as Minnesota governor!!!!!
Jesse ventura is amazing
i believe he is talking about WWF Coliseum videos vhs tapes & NBC Saturnights main events.
Will Sasso's impression of Jesse Ventura tho 😂🤣
