  • Before purchasing a wall oven, it's crucial to measure your space. Quickly learn the steps to take before purchasing a Maytag® wall oven.
It’s best to remove your current wall oven and measure the width, height and depth of your empty cabinet cut out to ensure accuracy. You may find that your cabinets are not a perfect fit for the model you’re considering. Just keep in mind that a tighter fit is ideal if you have several options to choose from.
Measurements to record for your new Maytag® wall oven are:
Width (W): Measure the width from the left inside cabinet edge to the right inside cabinet edge using a tape measure and record this number.
Depth (D) - Measure and record the distance from the back of the opening to the front of your cabinet cutout. Don’t forget: Oven doors and handles will stick out a few inches past the cabinet.
Height (H) - Check the distance between the top of the cabinet opening and the bottom of the cabinet opening.
Door Clearance - An open door will add about 24 inches to the overall depth. You’ll also want to have about 42-48 inches of clearance in front of your wall oven to comfortably load and unload dishes. If you have a galley kitchen or an island across from your wall oven, it will be important to consider this clearance measurement.
