Been watching your progress man it’s outstanding what you’ve done by yourself. I’m currently building my own house with the help of my father who is 83 years old and going just as strong as myself everyday. Tomorrow we will have the roof completely covered and starting the interior.
My wife and I are planning on replacing our jetted corner fiberglass tub with a tub similar to yours. We hadn't given much thought to the faucet until seeing this video. We will be doing something similar. Great idea.
Ix-Nay the playlist. I just did a playlist for episodes 1-19. Called it Arkansas Homesteader prep and footing. As it get into next phases I’ll make more. Now they play in succession and order. Great work you did.
Love that tub! Can't believe how big Nathaniel is! I love the water spout! I was hoping to watch you do the stairs since that's what I'm working on right now. The skirts for the stairs aren't fun. :)
My faucet with endless hot water is a big improvement over the old pitcher pump we used back then! I absolutely love it. The tub just seemed bigger because we were so much smaller. Plus it took forever to fill one bucket at a time so it SEEMED huge back then
@@ArkansasHomesteader Yeah, I think it was how many buckets it took to fill. I was a teenager so not really much smaller, but I couldn't carry the bucket that far if it was full so it took a lot of trips.
Eric, I was going to ask if you carried the tub upstairs but I assume it’s on the ground floor. Interesting design and setup of the water supply. Thanks for the history of this tub as well, great video. Thanks
@@ArkansasHomesteader thanks for the reply Eric. Have a great week, hopefully you’re not in a heat wave. Looking forward to cooler weather in the fall.
Could you please provide a brand/model number or link for the faucet and plumbing for the clawfoot tub? Thanks for what you do I've enjoyed the series!! Thanks
Did you use PEX “A” or “B”? I’m nervous about having an open crawl space. Last February it got down to -15°F where I’m planning to build. That’s rare but 0° is not. I usually see 0° once or twice a winter lasting a day or two. I’m in east central Oklahoma. My soil is highly permeable plus I’m on high ground and will be elevated a foot above that with the ground sloping away from the house. I will be using gutters and might even install a French drain. So I don’t expect moisture problems in the crawl space. A house that was there I recently had demolished. It was 115 years old and never had mold problems.
Noticed you do not have a vapor barrier in your crawlspace. Be a good idea to lay some plastic down to cover all the dirt to keep moisture under control.
The white spacers were sliders so I could move the tub easily without marring the floor. Now there are small rubber pads it sits on that can't be seen. The only thing keeping it in place is the weight of the tub. Since its cast iron it weighs several hundred pounds and does not budge easily.
Only earlier today I was thinking of you guys, great to hear things are moving along Eric. Sonot before long the tub will once again be back doing it's thing .. Hope you guys have been keeping well? atvb t ..
I like you house building vids. I want to build one basically the same over in eastern Oklahoma. I have a request. Could you possibly organize several playlists by subject then have each of those by episode number going left to right? RUclips unfortunately won’t autoplay right to left. Right now viewing successive episodes is kind of a hassle. You have a gold mine here with these vids! Devise some way to make them easier to view and I think viewership will take off. Maybe your boy could do it? Have you published an email address somewhere?
You think it's not interesting....I'ved watched you build this house from site work. Setup an old phone on a stand, timelapse it and then voice it over....I wanna see how the stairs are coming

The story of the cistern and picture pump was cool, thanks for taking the time to do that.
Great story about the tub definitely a nice memory!
Yay! You’re back.

Wow, Nathaniel is getting big. Oh my. Glad your back, and the tub is spectacular.
Thanks, it really turned out better than I had hoped.
I see you got a helper, never too young to learn

Like the plumbing helper. Had one of those myself back in the day.
Thanks for the back story on the significance of the tub and the fixture. The house is looking great!
Glad to see a new video. Coming together little by little. Looks good
Thank you. Its been a long time coming, but the finish line is near!
Awesome sir. Good to see you forging ahead.
Watched you restoring this tub and the story of it with my late gf while eating dinner. Cool to see it in the house.
Oh no, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My sincerest condolences.
Can’t wait to see the next video
Glad you are back! Great work. Look forward to a walk through of the work you have done.
Glad to see you moving forward!
Good to see you back. I have been waiting for an update. The house is looking great. You have done an excellent job building the it.
Thanks David. It was an intimidating project, but I am glad I took it on! Very rewarding.
I hated packing in the tub water! I remember this tub being bigger, LOL.

Glad to see y'all are ok. Dry spells are concerning for followers. Nathaniel is so cute. Daddy's 'lil helper😊
Good to have you back. It's been a long dry spell.
Glad to see you back. I really enjoy your videos.
Good stuff. Glad to see you're back!

Hey Tom, it's on the ground floor in the master bath. I would not have relished the task of totting it upstairs.

whats up with the texture on the drywall between the tub and the toliet is it some sort of popcorn ceiling material?
What holds the tub legs in place? They seemed to be elevated on white spacers. Are those screwed into the floor? Or will the tub move if bumped?

Hey, we are well thanks. Hope you and yours are too. We have just been busy with trying to get things finished up so we can move in.
I think the height of the tub faucet may cause splashing. Good for bubble baths. Much cheaper than a Roman tub faucet
Is the Tub vented? I am doing the same and having a hard time figuring out whether I need to and how to vent it. Or is it a wet vent?
Its a wet vent.
Where in the heck have you been? You’re mother and I have been worried sick😉
How could you get the loan from the bank if you take GC roll to build your own house?

After you gonna insulate the floor joist
It's been over a month. What's been happening?
I can't beleive you disappeared....
Have you move in already why you stop filming or post more video to wherever the end of all is
