Love to see the little dude out there helping. He'll never forget feeling helpful as he looks on all of the projects and knows he had a part in them. This is rocket fuel for his future. :-)

In a world gone crazy your a breath of fresh air sir. I honestly, and sincerely wish everyone in the world would watch your channel. People need to get back to REAL life, and away from their phones. Once you build something by yourself there is a sense of accomplishment, and joy that no game, television, nor social media will ever give. Yes its hard work, yes it takes time, but the end result will be with you for a LIFE time. I get excited every time you upload sir!

Great job Eric. A family project, very impressive. Can’t wait to see you harvesting honey from your hives.
We will keep on checking back, thanks

Ingenious yet simple setup especially the legs in PVC pipe for pest control.

Very cool. My grandfather used to keep bees. He loved it as a hobby and we got to eat some good honey. Looking forward to seeing your bees arrive.

I recall asking about Bees in an earlier episode so am pleased to see it's happening Eric.
You guys in the US sure have additional conditions/predators to consider.
I recall a conversation regarding moving of bees, 'three feet or three mile' was the answer.
The stand looks to be an ideal 'sound' start for a very interesting & imo fascinating hobby I wish you good luck. Feed well if required prior to winter, three hives ideal for start up just in case of a failure.

you can smear grease in side the cap as a second barrier against the ants. Regards Billy from South Africa

For the ants, I highly recommend a product called “Tanglefoot”! I have 4x4’s on cinder blocks. I put the tanglefoot on the 4x4’s at each end of the stand. I used it for the first time this year and I have no more ants in the hives. It’s waterproof and would have lasted all season except the duct tape I applied it on came off mid season. The other problem you might run into is the height of the stand. Mine is maybe half that high and it is pretty rough trying to lift 60-80 pounds at that height. Welcome aboard and good luck in your beekeeping adventures!

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't heard of Tanglefoot before. I will certainly look into it!

Wow, good job. I'm jealous. We'd have bees here in Hawaii if I weren't super allergic.

If you eat on tablespoon of local honey every day this will tone down your allergy to bee stings.
