I actually remember the Hunter/ River episode.. I watched the full episode a couple months ago and it's actually a really sad one because the kids are only acting like that because turns out: the Dad is very verbally abusive and very aggressive himself because his own father was very abusive and always belittling him when he was a kid so he went on doing the same to his kids. He never really managed to overcome these issues however this doesn't excuse his behavior towards the boys. He constantly tells the boys that they are dumb and gets really agressive when they make little mistakes.. he's actually a very scary individual, sorry not sorry. At the same time he never spends (or ever spent) any time with the boys and dumps them on his wife.. everytime they do interact he's low key abusive towards them. When Jo talked to the boys they told her that what they wish for most is to spend more time with Dad because they think he hates them (which is kinda concerning to hear👀) so Joe made the new house rule that Corey is for example responsible for doing homework with River, however when they did the Dad was constantly pressuring River to hurry up and when he made one little mistake by spelling a word wrong he got really aggressive and screamed at him that he's stupid and an idiot and ripped the whole page out and forced him to start over.. River of course started crying and then he told his son to not be ''such a pussy'' etc💀 .. there were many moments where he also got very threatening towards them in general. It was hard to watch.. Joe actually had a talk with Corey and tried to talk to him that his behavior towards the boys is really damaging and he almost flipped and wanted to stop the show when she confronted him👀 you could see that the wife also felt kinda theatened by him.. one thing that absolutely broke me was when she started crying and Corey just sat there emotionless, not comforting her nothing.. Corey did come around to continue filming eventually however and told Joe about his difficult relationship with his own father and you kinda felt bad for the guy because he started crying and all but his behavior didn't really change.. he spent one day together with the boys playing catch and I think taught one of them how to ride a bike (after Joe requested it, not his own idea) and these kids lit up and were happy and sweet boys, no violence whatsoever. I think I googled them afterwards because I really wanted to know what happened after and If I remember correctly: turns out his wife apparently divorced him and got full custody of the boys .. which tells you a lot 💀 just watch for yourself, the whole episode is here on youtube

5:28 Fun fact: That's how cats and dogs teach their babies not to bite/play aggressively. If the baby bites the mother, the mother will nip them back and eventually they make the association of "Ah, no, bite bad." A lot of times if you see a dog or cat that has a biting problem/an aggressive play problem (that they haven't been actively encouraged to do by humans) it's because they were probably taken away from their mothers too young.
Owners can encourage the biting tho. Because puppies will still try to bite even if they haven’t been taken away too young. Because they’re puppies. But what owners can do is yell a high pitched ”ow” when the puppy bites you. It helps to teach the puppy when they’re biting too hard :)
@@Garsnoos We’d Yelp with our dog when she’d nip and she would stop. We don’t need to do that anymore as one she’s fully trained and two she’s 11 years old.
First of all what's this got to do with children and second that's not how it works, if a puppy or kitten accidentally bites hard on it's sibling that sibling will yelp loudly and the one that done it will realise that it went too far. I don't know what mum dogs will do but I do know that mum cats will just wack them a little and that's it. it's also got nothing to do with being taken away from it's mum too early but it's down to the owners not introducing the puppy to new dogs and not teaching them not to bite.

Supernanny is genuinely incredible though, teaching a lot of older and younger generations that there are more effective ways of parenting than just beating your kids.
That leads me to believe this was a performance, and that the parents used the show as a way to get exposure for their children. I could be wrong, though:)

@dazgames I know this was posted 4 months ago and i dont k ow if you had already looked it up but I couldnt help it! Sooooo, River and Hunter, have gone on to become actors. They were notably featured in the 2014 film, “Midnite Cabby” where they played younger versions of the movies main characters, Doug and Dallas. Due to their aforementioned acting careers. Hunter and River both have IMDB pages. Notably, Hunter’s biography, features the quote “The first dose of acting he had was when the family appeared on a television show” (referring to their appearance on Supernanny). Hunter’s biography also mentions how he was “born to perform”, that his first stuffed toy was named “Actor”, and reveals he was born in Laguna Hills, California. All of this makes it seem that this episode was staged, and was all a publicity stunt by Lucy and Corey, in order to gaslight the boys’ acting careers. The parents ended up getting divorced

My mum is exactly like the nanny. My 2-year-old cousin came to my house with his parents and they kept telling him no then 5 minutes later giving in so my mum picked him up and wouldnt put him down. He was screaming and hitting her and she just looked straight back at him and he actually calmed down enough to do what my mum wanted. Then I realised thats probably what she did with me and why I know I cant do shit near her...

Totally agree, some parents need to actually learn how to discipline their crotch goblins better. I was on a train home earlier and there were three children the oldest of which couldn't have been more than five or six and they were just running up and down the carriage through doors that close by themselves and talking to strangers. And surprise twist one of them got hurt and the mother wasn't very helpful either.
I work at a preschool, so I see all kinds of behaviors like that. It's definitely hard to keep calm when kids are hitting/kicking you 😑 However, most of the kids know by now that I don't tolerate that nonsense. Honestly, I think it terrifies them when I react angrily 😹 because 90% of the time, I'm pretty chill.
@@TheOMGRamen A lot of the time, it's laying down the law and sticking to it. I once spent a good 15 minutes with a boy who refused to put his shoes back on but wanted to go to PE with the rest of the class. I would block his kicks and punches. Then, he started hitting himself and insisting he needed to see the nurse. I just kept repeating: "You need to put your shoes back on." Once it finally dawned on him that I wasn't going to budge, he finally put his shoes back on. And then sometimes, being sympathetic can help too 😌 A simple: "Hey, I understand. You're tired/hungry/cold/etc." along with explaining how events will unfold can get a kid to follow instructions (begrudgingly). @@GothicUndone yeah well a shame that people that never had kids or is too weak minded thinks a little tap is worth accusing of abuse
I agree - I got spanked (not hard) and i admit it worked- also my nan told me a story of how when my dad was little he used to bite all the time until my nan bit him and guess what he never did again because he knew how it felt.
You can read books and talk to children till your blue I the face about how we dont hit or bite but until they know how it feels they dont properly understand imo (especially at 3 years old) 😅
I think the dad may be abusive. The kids really only attack the Dad. Then the kids won't r e a l l y hit the mom but try to. The oldest one constantly talks about the private area wich could be signs of SA. The kids may act like this BECAUSE there is abused.
(Edit) um so aparently I was right

Update on these kids :
River and Hunter both became actors and featured on a film called “Midnight Cabby” . They seem to be doing well
That leads me to believe this was a performance, and that the parents used the show as a way to get exposure for their children. I could be wrong, though:)
@@jpeopolis you’re not too far off!! Apparently some suspect that the parents gaslit the kids into putting on an act so that they could make their way onto television. One of the boys even said that as a kid, he always wanted to be an actor

Daz is a good parent, People think just telling their kid's not to do something is enough but sometimes you just need to teach them how it feels. 5:32
yeah you need to actually explain to your kids what they’re doing wrong. just hitting them or sending them to their rooms isn’t teaching them why they’re in the wrong.
@@justMrAxe Exactly.
@@justMrAxe my parents did that to me and 2 of my brothers (even when we weren’t kicking or punching)and they never really said that it is wrong so it was just lots of arguments
@@justMrAxe
I really wish people thought like you more.
Everyone thinks hitting a child and leaving it at that instead of actually explaining why whatever the child did was bad will teach them anything when it won't.
And I already know what people are thinking: "Hitting them will teach them to not do it again". Obviously they won't do it again because they're afraid of getting hit again; it's common sense.
But will the kid ACTUALLY learn anything from that besides having the fear of getting hit again? No, they most likely won't. So why does everyone love to hype up this stupid "discipline" mentality so much??
Yeah like don’t abuse them but don’t be a doormat either.

My mum had the death stare but me being a “special” child never understood it and would always point it out when we were in public like “why are you looking at me like that” and I’m surprised she didn’t throttle me😂😂
I think the fixation on the “privates” was the way his mom seemed to not explain what that really meant other than it’s a no no word or no no area and he would target that for a reaction. He knew he’d get away with it and knew that it would shock her or whatever
supposedly the kid/s dad was molesting them or something
Yeah some of these comments are really reaching calling them child molesters. It really shows they’ve never had children. Lol 😂
@@MissCV No, it shows that they understand signs of CSA. Fixation on private areas is a HUGE sign.

9:30 that was clean...I know its not okay for kids to do that but that was a clean tap to the marble holder

My mum is exactly like the nanny. My 2-year-old cousin came to my house with his parents and they kept telling him no then 5 minutes later giving in so my mum picked him up and wouldnt put him down.

4:32 THIS MADE ME LAUGH SO MUCH 💀 I CANT- I'm surprised I could even write the comment without laughing -
I work at a preschool, so I see all kinds of behaviors like that. It's definitely hard to keep calm when kids are hitting/kicking you 😑 However, most of the kids know by now that I don't tolerate that nonsense.
Honestly, I think it terrifies them when I react angrily 😹 because 90% of the time, I'm pretty chill.
What are some tactics that you use to get those kids to listen to you?
Like: "I know you just woke up from nap, but I need to take you to go potty now. When we're done with that, then you can get on the bus and go home to Mommy."
Both Hunter and River are now known actors after looking into it. Soon after this episode, they became actors lol
i heard the mum put them on this show to start there acting career
