Man if I had the coin and lived in the area, I'd nab that truck. Great job Jeff. Just realized you probably sold this long before you posted the video, hope it went to a good home.
She shined up pretty good. I'm amazed at individuals that try to sell something without taking the time to detail them, you can attract more buyers and get what you're asking, for just a little elbow grease. Good point on the petroleum based products to bring life back to vinyl, since that is what vinyl is made of.
Sure brings back memories of my dads 82 1/2 ton with a 6.2 and a 4 speed. It didn't have much power but we could squeeze 30 mpg. out of it and it always started. He paid $12k for it brand new. Just a custom package. Good truck.
Hi, can't find T4☹️🤔, Could you let us know what Petro chemicals we can find, maybe under another name so our cars can be cleaned up like Your great truck.???? ❤️❤️👍👍 Love this fix up. Thanks
For the outside of tractors and equipment we would use Diesel. In a day the volatiles would off gas, and it was nice and shiny, even made the rust look better.
Looks great, you did a great job cleaning it up, especially for a 37 year old truck. Buy them not running and get them up and running and you also make more money.
This reminds me of back in the day when wagons had woodgrain contact paper on the sides. We used to wipe them with transmission fluid before they went to auction.
Thank you for tips on how to clean and preserve vinyl and much more on a vehicle ! Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you maybe doing next ! Doing okay here in Kansas .
Outside of a museum, that could be the only Chevy truck on earth that still has 4 survivor big factory hubcaps. I haven't seen any of these in years, but I remember them well from my tire shop days, always having to dig around the shop looking for valve stem extensions.
ENDUST works great Jeff been using it for years it doesn`t effect vinyl can actually watch a speck of dust settling it`ll slide off was amazed when I was shown this tip too ,I`ll do a showing of the can if you don`t have it --It`ll do the same to the dash as your Petro-m Based prod.
Jeff, once again I learned something new from you, I'm going to purchase some of that stuff to use on my car and truck and introduce my friends and neighbors to it too!
Jeff as always great video....... love all the information love by them dirty so Sell them clean,,,,, thanks for the heads up about the cleaner take care of yourself junkman do
Heck yeah, Jeff! I didn't know you were an Uncle Tony's Garage fan - I had even thought about asking him to do a get-well shout-out to you during one of his live-casts, after the accident!
I don’t think uncle tony has ever said not to buy anything that’s been sprayed underneath, more that when you see that to think about why it was done and make sure it’s not hiding anything, we’ll except maybe a perfectly good exhaust pipe. I’d say that’s the first time I’ve seen someone paint an exhaust but a friends dad painted the whole dual system under his truck gold to make it look “like a show truck” 😂
I dunno, I've used all types of protectants on my dashboards. I've been driving for over 30 years and have never had a dashboard crack or discolor on me. Then again, my vehicles are garaged and detailed on a regular basis. The reason why the truck's dash looks like it does is from years of neglect and sitting baking in the hot sun for 35 years I would imagine.
Hello, The truck is a work truck Jeff even if you make the interior shine who the hell is going to care unless a person is going to fully restore the truck. A quick/easy flip is all that matters 😙
Found that an 1/8'' hole drilled @ the end of a dash crack, will keep it from ripping ant farther. ''Dupont Tune Up'' 2 Tsp. of kerosene in 5 gal. of soapy wash water, helps in deterring spots after the rinse.
It looks good. I wish I was closer to you. I would buy that old girl...Nice lookin Squarebody. Except that color. I had another One that same color all of it was that color..LOL.
It's called "Blue Gloss" from my local detailing supplier. Online you just need to search "solvent based rubber dressing". There are several products (all blue!) out there. Most likely all the same product, just private labeled.
Hope you are still astounding doctors with your recovery! So I guess this truck is no longer sitting at the end of the driveway, since this video was pre "bad encounter"?
Any buyer with half a brain understands that they are purchasing a vehicle that’s almost 40 years old. If a buyer is gullible enough to not realize that they should stay on the short bus.
The person buying that truck will more than likely be putting it back to work and it's doubtful if they'll bother cleaning it up again after the purchase unless it's one of those millenials who think box bodied chevvys are the snit and they'll spare no expense buying a bed for it and making it look stock unmolested..

My dash didn't crack for over 20 year, covered in dust, i thought i would polish it recently.
Fastfoward 3 weeks, pulled itself into 20 peices
Most my dashes are extremely dusty. I tell people it's natural uv protection and they look at me sideways. It works lol
Thanks Jeff Bradshaw

Same material as the door cards. Plastic.
Is this what your using?: Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection oil

There is an easy way to get a petroleum-based cleaning product off glass...
White vinegar...
