Man if I had the coin and lived in the area, I'd nab that truck. Great job Jeff. Just realized you probably sold this long before you posted the video, hope it went to a good home.
She shined up pretty good. I'm amazed at individuals that try to sell something without taking the time to detail them, you can attract more buyers and get what you're asking, for just a little elbow grease. Good point on the petroleum based products to bring life back to vinyl, since that is what vinyl is made of.
Sure brings back memories of my dads 82 1/2 ton with a 6.2 and a 4 speed. It didn't have much power but we could squeeze 30 mpg. out of it and it always started. He paid $12k for it brand new. Just a custom package. Good truck.
Hi, can't find T4☹️🤔, Could you let us know what Petro chemicals we can find, maybe under another name so our cars can be cleaned up like Your great truck.???? ❤️❤️👍👍 Love this fix up. Thanks
About to go to bed seen a ElderlyIron video it's damn I gotta watch it then go to bed
Love them ol square bodies, happen to have a k20 out in my garage.
Same here.
Good day jeff, hope your staying warm during this artic storm front.
This reminds me of back in the day when wagons had woodgrain contact paper on the sides. We used to wipe them with transmission fluid before they went to auction.
Good to see you Jeff take care buddy keep warm
These are some easy greasy beautiful old school used car dealer tricks! And thanks for the tip on the vinyl treatment, i had not heard of that one.
Looks great, you did a great job cleaning it up, especially for a 37 year old truck. Buy them not running and get them up and running and you also make more money.
For the outside of tractors and equipment we would use Diesel. In a day the volatiles would off gas, and it was nice and shiny, even made the rust look better.
That spray you using is like a fountain of youth!
I picked up a GMC 2500. I appreciate your videos. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Outside of a museum, that could be the only Chevy truck on earth that still has 4 survivor big factory hubcaps. I haven't seen any of these in years, but I remember them well from my tire shop days, always having to dig around the shop looking for valve stem extensions.
Yes sir it do look better, thanks Jeff and hope your healing up well
Thank you for tips on how to clean and preserve vinyl and much more on a vehicle ! Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you maybe doing next ! Doing okay here in Kansas .
almost like new again mang!
My dash didn't crack for over 20 year, covered in dust, i thought i would polish it recently.
Fastfoward 3 weeks, pulled itself into 20 peices
Most my dashes are extremely dusty. I tell people it's natural uv protection and they look at me sideways. It works lol
Thanks Jeff Bradshaw
Glad to hear from you.
I like black magic
Good to see you back, Jeff!
I'm completely blown away Jeff. I've never seen you shine up anything before :D
Looking good Jeff glad to see great improvement in your condition.😎😎😎
Sanitary! Prayers for you both and GBWYall!
Jeff, once again I learned something new from you, I'm going to purchase some of that stuff to use on my car and truck and introduce my friends and neighbors to it too!
I never get tired of watching Jeff do stuff. xCop
ENDUST works great Jeff been using it for years it doesn`t effect vinyl can actually watch a speck of dust settling it`ll slide off was amazed when I was shown this tip too ,I`ll do a showing of the can if you don`t have it --It`ll do the same to the dash as your Petro-m Based prod.
nice change
Jeff as always great video....... love all the information love by them dirty so Sell them clean,,,,, thanks for the heads up about the cleaner take care of yourself junkman do
Heck yeah, Jeff! I didn't know you were an Uncle Tony's Garage fan - I had even thought about asking him to do a get-well shout-out to you during one of his live-casts, after the accident!
I don’t think uncle tony has ever said not to buy anything that’s been sprayed underneath, more that when you see that to think about why it was done and make sure it’s not hiding anything, we’ll except maybe a perfectly good exhaust pipe. I’d say that’s the first time I’ve seen someone paint an exhaust but a friends dad painted the whole dual system under his truck gold to make it look “like a show truck” 😂
I had one of these with 500,000 miles still kept going. Rust in NYS ruined cab .
So easy to fix reliable.
Parts cheap.
Jeff, Sure do look awful pretty! Hope all is well with you and the wife and that you are healing up!
Can u please tell my how can I make that dressing?
Thank you.
Man! I'm never using silicone on my dash again.
I dunno, I've used all types of protectants on my dashboards. I've been driving for over 30 years and have never had a dashboard crack or discolor on me. Then again, my vehicles are garaged and detailed on a regular basis. The reason why the truck's dash looks like it does is from years of neglect and sitting baking in the hot sun for 35 years I would imagine.
I need to find some of that petroleum based dressing. Google here I come. Looks great!!!
Jeff, is what you're using something you mix yourself or is it a commercially available product
can't seem to find T4 could you send me a link, also is 303 Marine uv protectant as good that's what i've been using
Would love to be able to find some petro base conditioner
Use leather&vinyl protectant
Hello, The truck is a work truck Jeff even if you make the interior shine who the hell is going to care unless a person is going to fully restore the truck. A quick/easy flip is all that matters 😙
I must have this goop for my cars. lol Outstanding.
Its good for keeping fly's off your goat too! Lol
Good video hope youre doin well
Good stuff.
Happy Motoring.
Tom Murphy's oil soap
Found that an 1/8'' hole drilled @ the end of a dash crack, will keep it from ripping ant farther.
''Dupont Tune Up''
2 Tsp. of kerosene in 5 gal. of soapy wash water, helps in deterring spots after the rinse.
"Lexol" , good on vinyl roof.
Be still, my heart
so now your doing something that i am good at and i like detailing hey how are you doin you look great by the way good luck with the sale
This was filmed before his accident.
What y want for it ? ive been looken for something like that ! you say T or Z 4 ?
He said t4
@@jonnycando TY
Not bad for a 37 yr old truck
It looks good. I wish I was closer to you. I would buy that old girl...Nice lookin Squarebody. Except that color. I had another One that same color all of it was that color..LOL.
It’s going to look so nice your going to want to keep it ! Lmao if you do !
Granitize t4 no longer sold? They list VPC-16, maybe updated version?
Hope you are still astounding doctors with your recovery! So I guess this truck is no longer sitting at the end of the driveway, since this video was pre "bad encounter"?
can you buy the cleaner on amazon?
So, what is the treatment? WD40? Mineral spirit?
It's called "Blue Gloss" from my local detailing supplier. Online you just need to search "solvent based rubber dressing". There are several products (all blue!) out there. Most likely all the same product, just private labeled.
@@ElderlyIron thank you!
Is this what your using?: Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection oil
Misted a spot , I see it ha ha he he , under side ,joking jeff , looking good brother
I see T6 by Granitize available online. Worth a shot?
Great tip!
''STP'' OR ANY WATER-BASE/SILICONE BASE DRIES OUT YOUR VINYL'(THIS IS THE QUOTE FOR MY 12 DIFF SHARING SITE!).
Can you let me know Jeff what the product name is and what it looks like the you wiped on the Dashboard
Nice!
do you make up your own treatment for leather ??
Jeff does that truck have a dump bed?
I use Lemon Oil brand.
would that dressing work in the fenders and bumper on a Jeep JK 2018
You bet!
Same material as the door cards. Plastic.
Looks nice! A sure sell!
There is an easy way to get a petroleum-based cleaning product off glass...
White vinegar...
What cleaner did he use? I’m having trouble finding it.
Cleaner or the dressing?
@@ElderlyIron Both please :)
I use wd40 cleans dirt and tar off
What does the cleaner u used smell like?
hi nice truck
ballistol could work.
So what's the price
What do you want for it
dont lissen to uncle tonys garage he does not know what the fuck he is doing. you know what you are doing and have a great channel
I'll drop my truck off for the full detail :)
Full detail for full retail!!
Should be called "How to make a trusting buyer think that they are getting something that they are not".
Any buyer with half a brain understands that they are purchasing a vehicle that’s almost 40 years old. If a buyer is gullible enough to not realize that they should stay on the short bus.
I don’t like a shiny dash. It puts glare on the windshield 😠
We see new trucks videos 👋🛻 new in 2023
How much do you want for is this truck
Sold, but I have a 1980 half ton, 250 straight six and 3 speed on the column!
@@ElderlyIron man you are pulling at my heart strings with that
I see...
WD 40 works the same
or the dash . an if can you tell please . an thanks ether way lol
The person buying that truck will more than likely be putting it back to work and it's doubtful if they'll bother cleaning it up again after the purchase unless it's one of those millenials who think box bodied chevvys are the snit and they'll spare no expense buying a bed for it and making it look stock unmolested..
😎yea
Love ya Jeff, but I disagree.
Used car dealer tricks.
I live in idaho where can I get some what the name
