    Excellent real world review. Loved the showcasing the useful features (navigation on the display) while riding.
    You picked the right, realistic off-road ride to show its capabilities. Impressively stable.
    Triumph has built a winner. High on my list for next ADV. Currently on a '16 1290 SA....

    I went to the Grampians last weekend and went up that track you went down, Rosea track I loved it but I was on a smaller bike lol great tracks there I’m from down the great ocean road area and I’m spoilt here 👍🏻

      Cheers Eddy - I'm not far from you, near Anglesea. I'd love to head back up to Rosea again on my Tuareg.. But I'm spoilt for choice locally too ;)

    I know if you are in the UK and unlikely to do much if any off road the suggestion is to take the GT Pro but this bike looks much better in my opinion and is plush. You’d have to ride like a loon as if you were on a different bike I reckon before you notice the subtle benefits of the different front wheel

    How would you rate the Tiger compared to the Multistrada v4 Rally?

    • @Vicko026
      @Vicko026 2 месяца назад +1

      The v4 rally is in a league of its own in the rowdy stuff. And its price tag too unfortunately 😬
      I reckon the Tiger is more comfortable though for normal roads. I’d love it if the Tiger had the v4s traction control…

      If you could only have one bike would you select this over a Tuareg?

    • @Vicko026
      @Vicko026 2 месяца назад +1

      @@jamesmcneilage5158 that would depend entirely on the type of riding I’d be mostly intending on doing.
      If I could only have one bike… it would probably be neither the Tuareg or the Tiger 12. More likely to be something like the Tiger900rslly pro. That I’ll be doing a vid on soon hopefully 🙏

      Preload adjustment on right hand HOME button to lower bike at low speeds is available as a software update on previous generation of Tiger 1200.

    Ocean to desert, good choice and very nice indeed. Any chance you could share route info as gpx or google maps route? (there is zero chance of me doing this in 1 day but maybe multi-day trip)

    • @Vicko026
      @Vicko026 2 месяца назад

      The basic route was pretty straight forward, lots of options around Lorne and through the Otways and that main track through the grampians was Rosea Track.

      Seems YT doesn't like it when I post in links, even if they're to Google Maps. Summary of the route is as follows: Anglesea to Lorne, Deans Marsh Lorne rd, Benwerrin-MtSabine Rd, Dunse Track, Great Western, Halls Gap, Rosea Track, Moora Moora Track (I think!) Glenelg River rd, then to Little Desert. Stringybark rd was the one I did - opposite that is the one I chickened out of :) Then if you punch in Stewarts Bridge Rd, Lower Moira that'll get you pretty close to the Murray Goulburn junction :)

    You don't mention that its not easy to clean the air filter?

    • @Vicko026
      @Vicko026 2 месяца назад +3

      Thanks for the feedback. You’re right I didn’t talk about maintenance (I normally focus on what they’re like to ride but could spend a minute on those things for sure) .
      Air filter is not the easiest to get to but it’s not the only one in that boat - You have to remove the tank. Probably set aside an hour.
      The bigger question mark maintenance wise for me on the big Tiger is rear wheel removal with that funky swingarm. Lots of Nm required on the nut too.. a bit like the Desert X. That was one of the primary reasons I was taking things pretty steady through the rocky sections of that 4wd trail… did NOT want a puncture!
