If (when) Makhachev shoots for the single leg, his head on the center, Poirier won't have any option to defend. It'll look like the Dober fight. I don't see Makhachev taking any risks. The stakes are too high; defending the belt in a main event, on a PPV card, on the biggest stage, fighting in america for the first time since february of 2022, against a fan favorite.
At this point, i don't think he cares about being entertaining. He just wants to win at all costs.
