Izzy has also lost decisions where he was controlled on the feet against Strickland where he didn’t hurt Strickland once, Jan controlled him standing and on the feet.
I think DDP is more than capable of using that Jan blueprint to beat Izzy

I think Izzy hasn't dealt with losing very well. He's on a losing streak and DDP made him cry during the press conference. I can't recall offhand any former champions that were virtually undefeated then go on a losing streak and then come back on any serious streak.
Chances are better that Izzy is on a downward spiral similar to McGregor, Rousy, BJ Penn, etc.

Everyone forgets that DDP was submitting Gracie's in jiu jitsu tournaments. That means his ground game is superior. If he starts losing in the striking he will take Israel down and submit him.. I believe that. But Izzy could knock him out before he gets that far. If Izzy can keep range and keep DDP away he will win this fight by either knockout or decision. But if DDP doesn't get knocked out and takes a big shot and recovers you better believe he's going to get Izzy down on the ground and he's going to keep him there and finish him. He's too good on the ground and everyone overlooks that
