A lot of your covers make me pay attention to the lyrics in these songs, which I never really listened closely to before. It helps that your voice has such range and you can give new life to the words and turn the song into something new. This looks like it was fun to play !

"Transform" is 100% the right word to use in this case. You've taken a fantastic song and remade it into something just as incredible but somehow very different. It's like the way Johnny Cash remade "Hurt" and "Won't Back Down" in ways that made them completely his own. There's a sense of longing here that's totally missing from Houston's original bop (which I danced to a fair bit in my younger days!) This is so very much my jam. Thank you!

What's great about this is no one would think a song like "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" could be reharmonized into a folk and make it sound good. I bet you could do a folk version of 'These Words' by Natasha Bedingfield and it would sound good. Great job Stacey!
