Remember how I said on Twitter you guys were my favorite creators and my comfort channel, I meant that whole heartedly, thank GOD my notifications work because I get so excited for Sundays, it’s like my new morning ritual. Love you guys! Thanks for inspiring me so much! 💕
Yup, this is officially my favourite series on youtube. And the argument about the screen size is so relatable to every single couple that has ever fought about enthusiast technology versus practicality.
Pro tip for others that are caught in the TV size selection dilemma: borrow a projector and project different sizes onto the wall. It is one way to imagine the size of it and another to actually watch content in that size. Also test out a mix of movies, series and RUclips. Movies work great on a huge screen, with RUclips and a lot of the series it is sometimes better to watch them on a slightly smaller (yet still big :P) screen.
Living room is fucking amazing. I'm one of those "modern design looks like somewhere lex luther would live" people but this was a great balance of mid century modern/ Cozy and comfort. I'd never want to leave the living room lol
Oh boy I wish these episodes were 3 hours long! Absolutely love it. And a great inspiration as I'm about to move into my own space in a month, the timing is so perfect ❤
The little 3D print intro kills me every time 😍 Also from an entrepreneurial/design standpoint, I love that you work in your physical products into this mood. I got the matches as a gift and things like this feel like some of the most honest, useful product integrations into content. It feels like you made them specifically for yourselves and just happened to share. I don't ever mind creators pushing their digital products, sponsorships, etc. - but this feels particularly wholesome. That must feel very rewarding and exciting to have more than just digital footprint.
Thank you so much, Dan! You hit the nail on the head - we love the idea of making products we will actually use in our home. The bonus is we can share them with you guys!
I've admired this living room so much for quite some time now, so this episode made me inexplicably happy. As a designer/photographer/filmmaker myself, this was incredibly satisfying. I think this is most definitely one of my favorite living rooms in the world!!! Thank you for inspiring me with everything you guys do😎❤️💪🏼!
This series is just soooo good. Well made and you two are so adorable. Designing the space seems like a great challenge, but also a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing, it is so cool to watch this.
The house looks amazing. I have seen many houses on RUclips that are worth over 100 Million dollars and while a lot of them leave me with the "wow" factor, yours is the one that makes me envious. This is the kind of house I'd like to have if money didn't matter. Granted, I'd still make a few tweaks here and there for personal preference, but overall your sense of style and executing that vision is amazing. It is fun to watch the process, it is satisfying to get that final reveal and I can't wait for more. Really happy you started this series.
Restaining the floor lighter and painting the cabinets REALLY helped to make the ceiling just look lighter than it was before! Im sure the hues help a lot too. I can't wait for the next episode already
I struggle with the idea of painting nice looking wood, but you balanced the white cabinets so well with the wood ceiling. The whole transformation is great. When Chris was crawling through the attic, I had flashbacks to doing the same in our Houston house - in 90+ degree, high-humidity summer days. Never again. As always, you two did so well with it all. Cheers!
That lounge space is really, really nice. Super jealous. But can’t believe you clipped Chris’s wings and didn’t allow a 82” LG OLED. That way can totally take it.
Amazing improvements to the living room! I love how you used furniture and rugs to visually create different spaces and areas to hang out. So clever, and so well put together. Great colors, textures, and light in this space!
Ohhhhhhhhh! Wow guys… Ok, Becki, I know from your Insta how many weeks/months you have spent on editing this series and the result of your hard work is wowzer. I’m floored. The design choices you are making are flawless. Swooooooon!
I spent much of my childhood running around Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in Japan, which my parents were always dragging the family off to on weekends. The Yodoko Guest House was a regular haunt for us, and I knew that place like the back of my hand. But I haven't thought about it in ages. Boy does this title get me excited!
I'm glad you didn't paint the ceiling white, because you would have been living inside of a Pier 1 Imports catalogue. What you guys did was beautiful. The space is absolutely stunning and to sit down during a snow storm by that window is a time stealer. I'd sit there for hours. Chef's kiss.
You definitely should put a beautiful model much cleaner burning and more efficient wood stove or fireplace insert, will keep you warmer looks beautiful and better for the environment too😊😊
that bubble light is hotter than my glow-up after dropping out of college. and the lighting above (aesthetic moans of pleasure) led's really has changed how simple and seamless our lighting options have become. I can't wait until we get to the landscaping bits after all the interior stuff.
Your channel is absolute gold!♥️ the house ks beautiful. Becki, you have such a great eye for these things. Chris! My mate, you are quite the handyman around the house!!! I just need to see you land a helicopter now thanks 😊 haha
Damn you guys killed that remodel! I was worried when you were talking about painting the whole ceiling. Waiting for the floor to be done first before deciding was clutch!
Amazing choices everywhere. I totally understand how difficult some decisions are when you want to respect the original design choices, but also bring the space up to modern standards. Excellent work!
Thanks so much!! I know it’s always scary to know if you are making the right decision, especially when it’s a massive commitment like painting that ceiling 😅
GUYS! We've all seen bits and pieces of this room over the last couple years but WOW. A by-product of your creativity and eye for great interior design is inspiration. Weird that I actually had a visceral reaction with this finished product. Great work guys!
You hit the nail on the head. I have never liked modern style for the exact reason you stated that it always felt to sterile. I have to say you two nocked it out of the park. Not only does it look great, it also looks very inviting. Great job. Thanks again for the content.
This is literally my favorite thing about RUclips right now. Followed y’all 2 years ago for camera related content, kept following because of the decor ideas. This is next level!
Omg! You guys did amazing with your living space and dinning area. As a designer, I am so inspired and motivated from this, you guys are so motivated! 😍😍😍
Loved the room, Becki! I was really excited for this video because I feel like we haven't seen your living room as a whole until now (mostly just in the background of your videos, but it was difficult to see the details or understand the layout.) This is such a gorgeous space architecturally, and I love all the changes you made to the cabinetry and how you divided up the room. Even though my personal style is more colourful, I admire your design taste so much and think you do an amazing job creating that Scandinavian/mid-century look and are so good at incorporating a lot of small objects and design pieces, which *really* make a room come together and adds so much personality and charm. Also, I was impressed seeing Chris crawl around in the attic amongst all the fibreglass. When I was kid, my grandparents had an unfinished basement where all the grandkids would play and one time as a small child I noticed a big pink fluffy pile of SOMETHING in the corner. Naturally, it looked fun to play in (like a pile of leaves or a bouncy castle), which my cousin and I proceeded to do. Lo and behold, I got super itchy, and didn't understand why. Upon telling my parents, they were like "Oh no, you were playing in fibreglass! It has small pieces of GLASS in it!!" and then my Dad had to give me a bath in the upstairs bathroom and I really wasn't happy about it. 😂
Honestly I was prepared to hate the changes (especially since scandinavian, greys, mcm, monochromatic is not my vibe) but the space turned out beautiful! In hindsight that cabinetry before was kinda cray. It felt kind of crammed in there, and also made the space feel cramped with how it went up to the windows. There's also still PLENTY of wood. Nice that the ceiling wood tone still works with the new floors, only slightly warmer. Firewood cabinet looks great, I imagine you're ready to repaint that regularly since its probably already dinged up. That first impression of the living room through the tighter stone lined space is amazing, like a tunnel that opens up into an expansive cavern. Would be curious to see the space at night too, since I feel like that's true test of lighting in establishing cozy spaces in a huge open room.
Love the design; huge improvement. Really sorry you decided on a *TINY* TV though! The problem for Chris is that he didn't have anywhere to negotiate; hard to find bigger TVs at the moment. He should have just made up 105" TV so the 83" was the "sensible middle choice."
Love this house! I have an idea…. What if you painted all the windows white up to the wood soffit. Leave the top section all wood. Have the main floor be white. I think it would give it this warm affect while not having too much white 🤷♂️
Loving this new phase of you two, I believe and hope this will become bigger and bigger. We are living in a rental home, for now, and will probably be here for 1 or 2 years, I already did some improvements, like painting the walls and fixing minor stuff, but is painful to see things we would do if this was our own place. I can't wait to have our place and start watching these videos not only as an idea and entertainment but as a true guide of how can we make huge visual changes doing it by ourselves on a good budget. Congrats again..... and Chris, bro ..... please cut this hair ... :)
I really like the final result. Had seem bit and pieces of this one before but the full view really shows the impact of the changes you added. Looking good :D
Sony has a really good sounding wireless surround sound system that lets you place the speakers nearly anywhere you want and will still give you the proper spatial sounds.
Remember how I said on Twitter you guys were my favorite creators and my comfort channel, I meant that whole heartedly, thank GOD my notifications work because I get so excited for Sundays, it’s like my new morning ritual. Love you guys! Thanks for inspiring me so much! 💕
Thanks Mikey! So glad to hear it!
The amount of time this project took can be measured in the length of Chris' hair :^/
Stunning outcome!
This series is honestly better than anything I ever watched on HGTV
Thank you Sarah!!
I agree!!!
Hahaha I just commented the exact same thing and then scrolled down to see your comment
Blue hair Becki and short haired Chris is giving me the ultimate nostalgia !!!
Yup, this is officially my favourite series on youtube.

What a great tip, thanks for sharing this is something I never would have thought of.
“I am science”. My favorite part of the video. Well done!
This is the Home Reno series I’ve always wanted . Episode three let’s go!!
Me too.
It’s always awesome to see how you guys can infuse your style while also “respecting” the design/intent of the original house.
Living room is fucking amazing. I'm one of those "modern design looks like somewhere lex luther would live" people but this was a great balance of mid century modern/ Cozy and comfort. I'd never want to leave the living room lol
Thanks so much!! It’s sooooo cozy at all times of the day, glad we kept the wood!
Oh boy I wish these episodes were 3 hours long! Absolutely love it.
And a great inspiration as I'm about to move into my own space in a month, the timing is so perfect ❤
I agree I’m always left wanting more lol
That coffee table fits a human body inside!
MMMMOOOOORE.
The little 3D print intro kills me every time 😍

SO perfect. That bubble light is UHmazing. And the break up of the space is set so comfortably without being weird. I love it.
Man! This beats any other show on tv about deco! Your guys are just 🤯🤯🤯. Thank you for the magic
The off set fireplace matches the sofa perfectly!!!
oh my gosh the candles were just like the chef's kiss after all the hard work. short haired Chris and blue haired Becki are the ultimate nostalgia!!
I love that Chris say's "I don't ask for a mancave" flash forward the drone factory exists
This series is just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
85" is not too big for a big space. We had a 75" and upgraded to 85" and LOVE IT!!!!
Sooo gorgeous and bright and super cozy.
I don’t understand why these Home Reno Videos are bringing me so much joy. But I’m absolutely living for them now.
This series is just soooo good. Well made and you two are so adorable. Designing the space seems like a great challenge, but also a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing, it is so cool to watch this.

Man, you're making me want to figure out something way better for my living room 😅
It’s so nice to have a cozy set up!
Restaining the floor lighter and painting the cabinets REALLY helped to make the ceiling just look lighter than it was before! Im sure the hues help a lot too.

Going in the attic during the summer is the absolute worst! Thanks Kevin!
Ooo those ambient strip lights 👏🏻
this series has been/is gold
That lounge space is really, really nice. Super jealous. But can’t believe you clipped Chris’s wings and didn’t allow a 82” LG OLED. That way can totally take it.
Ugh. So good. I’m jelly. What a beautiful house. Good choice on not painting the ceiling white.
This is better than any HGTV home renovation show ever
this series as moved yall to the top 4 channels I love!!! In love with this series!!!
Amazing improvements to the living room! I love how you used furniture and rugs to visually create different spaces and areas to hang out. So clever, and so well put together. Great colors, textures, and light in this space!
I was skeptical but it came out great! I'm relieved you went easy on the beautiful stain grade trim.
Wow, so beautiful! I absolutely LOVE it!
Ohhhhhhhhh! Wow guys… Ok, Becki, I know from your Insta how many weeks/months you have spent on editing this series and the result of your hard work is wowzer. I’m floored. The design choices you are making are flawless. Swooooooon!
The TV wall turned out so good! It's always difficult to try to incorporate a large TV in a room where the fireplace is the focal point.
My husband and I are obsessed with this series. Love that you kept a lot of what made that home unique and still managed to make it look so new!
I'm so glad I came across your channel last year! Your style is unreal. Keep up the great work. Excited for the rest of the series.
This is the best serial I saw on youtube 🔥
You guys need your own Reno TV show!!!!
Gosh this house is a DREAM.
Chris was right it should’ve been an 82” TV. I do like that the cabinets are white and that you didn’t paint the ceiling panels.

Agreed!!! Relief was seeing the space finished with the wood ceiling in tact 😂 the correct decision was made
You definitely should put a beautiful model much cleaner burning and more efficient wood stove or fireplace insert, will keep you warmer looks beautiful and better for the environment too😊😊
We are redoing our kitchen and you have been SOOOOOOO super helpful!! In like every possible way.. so good!! Thank you!!! 🔥💥🙌
Perfect video to watch on a Sunday morning. Thanks! Cant wait for the next ep!!!
We’re only on episode 3 and this series is already my religion
So glad you decided to leave the wood! All together it looks awesome :)
This is so gorgeous, honestly my dream living space!
that bubble light is hotter than my glow-up after dropping out of college. and the lighting above (aesthetic moans of pleasure) led's really has changed how simple and seamless our lighting options have become. I can't wait until we get to the landscaping bits after all the interior stuff.

Damn you guys killed that remodel! I was worried when you were talking about painting the whole ceiling. Waiting for the floor to be done first before deciding was clutch!
You guys did a good job, adding that white wall and painting the cabinets white was a good call! It’s so balanced. Love it!!
im with Chris on the tv lol loving the series
I'm so glad this channel exists -- Thanks, guys ✌🏼
INCREDIBLE LIVING ROOM! LIVE IT
so basically... this deserves about 40M more views ❤
I've watched this episode so many times!!!! Loving this series. So much🔥🔥
Wow absolutely stunning.
I have to agree with Chris on the 82". A room that size can easily handle that big of a TV. Movies would be great... Just think of it.
3:41 didn't know I needed a Chemical Brothers reference to make me smile - but apparently I did. 😎 This room is TOO GOOD wowoowowowowowow
You both did a wonderful job! I love the wood ceiling and bubble light!
Every episode is very exciting!!!
GUYS! We've all seen bits and pieces of this room over the last couple years but WOW. A by-product of your creativity and eye for great interior design is inspiration. Weird that I actually had a visceral reaction with this finished product. Great work guys!
Thank you! So happy it’s finally all done
Absolutely stunning! I couldn't help myself to do this kind of work so props to you guys.
Just beautiful! You guys are wicked!
You hit the nail on the head. I have never liked modern style for the exact reason you stated that it always felt to sterile. I have to say you two nocked it out of the park. Not only does it look great, it also looks very inviting. Great job. Thanks again for the content.
I absolutely love what you did with the space. Slick and comfy! You left me wanting to see more 😍 love it! 🥰

Becki even walks in slomo with style.....
#nailedit #addstyle #firstclass
Ok, but now I need a video of all closeup textile shots at 120 fps because I DUNNO?!? 🤣 Great work you two!

This episode was amazing!!!!! Looking forward to Tuxedo time

But don't take design advice from me. My solution is always "throw an Eames chair at it."
@@LegalEagle Coming from an interior designer, this is not bad advice 😅
My goodness that living room is amazing! You have a great eye!
I'm sorry but you guys absolutely crushed this room. This could have gone all kinds of wrong, but really smart choices!
I am blown away each week with the size of this video project! INCREDIBLE WORK!
It's not fair. you guys deserve 10 times more views and subscribers. The best.
The quick shots of what’s going on outside we’re so un-necessary but so good ! Attention to detail on point ! So fire ! 💪🏼
Crib looks killer too ! 💯

Just found you yesterday, love your style and how you get along with each other.
For what it’s worth, the Samsung Frame tv is super nice for not taking up visual space! Turns into a framed picture when it’s off
Amazing living room.
I really like the final result. Had seem bit and pieces of this one before but the full view really shows the impact of the changes you added. Looking good :D
this channel has QUALITY. This series should be on Netflix
The ceiling fan is a great idea it blows all that hot air down into the living area.
I’m obsessed!! The design came out beautifully. I can’t wait to work on a project of my own in the near future.
You guys kill me with the bloopers 😂
I’ve been saving all these. Hopefully to someday be able to use the inspiration!!
It's like watching an HGTV show, that's how good you guys are. Love the living area.
Sony has a really good sounding wireless surround sound system that lets you place the speakers nearly anywhere you want and will still give you the proper spatial sounds.
