The north west circuit on Stewart Island is fantastic. Did it in the middle of winter in July - snowed on the beach, the days were short and the mud deep but it had a primeval feeling unlike anywhere else in NZ - and I saw a kiwi in the beach!

hey, this is a great video, but i would note that it is frowned upon by locals and iwi (Māori) to summit Mt Tongariro or Mt Ngarauhoe. :)

How much should I expect to spend if I hike this trail?
@@EnricAdventures It depends on people, but for me I usually budget 1000€ per month and it's more or less what I end up spending on trail.
