@@InsideChinaAutoAll Chinese cars look like a tacky mashup of two other American cars. This looks like a Mach-E mashed with a Taycan. No originality under the CCP!
@citizenfour9622 That's funny because the chief designer isn't actually Chinese. And any car is more attractive than a Mach-e, Taycan is pretty nice though.
Chinese cars will prove themselves in time. I can tell people about this now because I'm living and witnessing it, butqy for those still holding memories of a time when China didn't make such great cars, they need more convincing. That time will come, just as it did for the Korean brands and the Japanese before them.
It didn't have in the one I drove, but that may have been updated since. Certainly if it is sold outside of China it will have. It uses the Harnony OS system and in the Aito M5 I drove last year it gave the option to switch to English. Might just need to special request it is unlocked if you buy in China.
I really enjoy being able to see the designs that the Chinese are coming up with. Thank you for the English language videos. It would take a lot, and I mean a lot for me to ever buy a Chinese large purchase of any type. I just don't ever seeing myself as being able to trust Chinese quality.
It all takes time. I'm with you, ten years ago any car made here was dog shit, just like Korean cars and Skodas were when I was young, but influence from abroad has seeped in, as it did in those places and standards have caught up. Honestly, sit in any Opel or Ford and they're behind what is going on here quality wise. Chances are your phone and laptop are made here and they're fine. Some are certainly ahead of others but now they're nearly all at least on a par with European brands, though there are a couple of very low sales cowboys still out there. The designs though, like you said, can be stunning. Glad you're enjoying the videos.
I could enter this car some days ago, nice one, but how does electric doors deal with accidents? One button to open? mmh... doesn't look too safe to get out in emergency
Pretty much all cars with electric doors come with a manual handle buried down in the back of the door pocket so you'll be fine getting out in an accident, assuming the door is capable of being opened (as with any door).
It didn't in this car but on the AITO M5 which has the same Huawei operating system it was possible, so likely you'd just have to ask to get a download of some kind to open that up.
I think it is deeply rooted; if you copy things you really don't know what your doing. During the communist period the Chinese were told to copy a soviet jeep; they did including the dent that was in the fender. When Chinese brand BEVs are on any of the European or American lists of highly reliable vehicles - I'll say they are beyond the past and now have enough expertise to match the quality of others; until that day; they don't.
You kind of have to include them in the survey to find that out though. They used to copy plenty but much less so now, so much so that VW and Audi are now actually buying Chinese-developed platforms. It's a good job they aren't looking for your approval, eh?
Merhaba. İzlediğiniz için teşekkürler. Elimden geleni yapacağım, kesinlikle dil seçeneklerimizi genişletmemiz gerekiyor ama hala oldukça küçüğüz. Bize katıldığınız için gerçekten minnettarız.
They seem pretty decent to me. I'd be less confident with their older combustion engined cars but with modern electric cars half the challenge is gone.
It's not bad, I would like to see a "version 2" of this car. Also, I dunno why, but Chinese car seats often lack under-thigh support and base tilt functionality. I'd love them to make better seats.
Agreed. Often my biggest gripe. The Polestar 2 does this really well, Li Auto has long cushions but not much tilt, most have short cushions. I get it, the general population isn't often that tall, but the option helps and foreign brands tend to do this better.
@cong4085 Yes, I believe so, though I'm not that tall and in fact many young Chinese are taller than me now. Cars like the Rising F7 have the extending base cushion and it's perfect.
@@Gemmy777 I assumed it was something like this. Obviously there's no reason why the Chinese _can't_ make those kinds of adjustable seats, their manufacturing is as good as, or better than, anyone else on the planet. But the tilt functionality especially gets to me - I often feel like I'm sliding slightly forward on Chinese car seats, I would love to adjust that angle.
I think you're confusing reasonably prominent fires with one particular brand with the entire Chinese car industry. Pretty much every other brand is not having the same issue. Nobody seems to notice the 19x more likely occurrence of ICE car fires by non-Chinese brands, which is curious isn't it?
@taiwee0404 Well for a start, EV fires are 19 times less frequent than ICE fires, but let's just say for a second that you think Chinese EVs are burning all the time. The ones I see most prominently online are not from a wide variety of brands, in fact they seem to be mostly of one particular vehicle, which is the BYD Tang. Yes, there are videos of others but the vast majority are the Tang, suggesting that particular vehicle has an issue more than most, but the other issue you have is frequency bias. The Chinese EV market is the largest in the world by far, so you'll see more, hence you'll say it's Chinese EVs, despite for example the fire on the ship in Europe being attributed to Mercedes models. In the end, you have a narrative and an agenda, so you'll push it regardless of the bigger picture. I'm not trying to change your mind, I know better than to bother,, but there's the reality.
@@InsideChinaAuto do you mind telling me my agenda, i didn't know i had one. After your long condecending reponse, i guess you would agree to my point of view that the CCP supprted biggest China ev company BYD would need to overcome ev spontaneous combustion to succeed internationally.
@@taiwee0404 The agenda is somewhere between an anti-EV agenda and an anti-Chinese EV agenda. They're not hard to spot because they have no nuance, it's blanket statements made with lack of context or an understanding of a bigger picture. If facts are interpreted as condecesion, so be it. I can educate, but being open to listening isn't on me. Now you're trying to single out BYD but you didn't start with that, you went for the blanket 'China EVs' approach and I added context. Meanwhile, BYD seem to be doing quite well all over the world, topping EV sales charts in many countries despite their challenges with the Tang, so it isn't holding them back. Also, they are CCP supported to the extent that governments tend to support all core businesses but they're not state-owned like BAIC, SAIC, FAW, Chang'an, and a couple of others. They've done plenty under their own steam.
@InsideChinaAuto most electric cars is close to that today but i found out this car started at 55k as basic so I guess 70k range then you pick necessary accessories
@snippidippi So you're applying 30 - 80k of accessories? Chinese cars don't have that many accessories to add, they come incredibly well kitted out as standard.
Is it me or is this car look as if it’s based on the Avatar movie?, even the logo strangely enough looks like the logo from the movie and the fact that it has the blue lighting (which I know can be changed) screams Avatar to me, even if they missed out the one “a” in the spelling!, 😀
@@InsideChinaAuto Actually do you know what comparison video I’d like to see?, the Avatr 11 v the Lotus Eletra, both SUV’s share a lot of things in common like the display screen in the centre console and the autonomous driving etc; they both also look out of this world too!, 😀
@gadget183 That would be nice, though in reality they're both very different cars for very different price points. I haven't driven the Eletre but I did sit in one and I'd say it should comfortably beat the 11, plus it's on the GPA platform (SEA platform by another name) and that's a brilliant chassis.

@@InsideChinaAuto It's okay, buddy. I know you fear being deported (or worse) if you don't attempt to "save face" for the Party. I don't blame you, I just pity you.
We are talking about quality control; not features or price or performance claims. Practically no Chinese maker has a history of consistent quality. In America and Europe they have no dealership support network. Some may point to BYD as having a good record; but it is limited to China; yet one sees many reports of fires; even axles breaking loose from the body of the cars, new cars. If there is a quality built Chinese car maker; it is being downed by association with all the lousy ones.
I'd say impressions of Chinese reliability are being downed by two things: 1. China made the world's tat for a long time and 50% of everything made on the planet. When something breaks, which it will with such a large pool and people's tendency to buy cheap stuff, they blame China and associate it with them. 2. It only takes one video of something bad happening for people to apply that to everything else. One Chinese car fire is every Chinese manufacturer, regardless of whether one brand or one particular car is more to blame than others, and even if less than 0.5% of those made has caught fire.
Oh this looks way better and is way smarter than the Macan. Macan will no doubt have better handling and steering though, that matters more to the European brands.

I won't. Really, I wont. I always enjoyed my Huawei phones but after 3 Huawei phones (p10, P20 pro and p40 lite) i need to accept they don't last as other do. They look and perform nice but after some time they all begin to fail on me. I wont risk that on an expensive object like a car. No way I will
@@InsideChinaAuto then it will be too late for a lot of people. We need tests that focus on build quality, we need to have the opinion of someone who knows how cars should be made, someone that can dig a little deeper into that. Not complaining about your review, just giving you my opinion of what people would like to know.
@danielpeixotomartins1582 Well, given I worked for Mercedes for 8 years, I'd say that I have some reasonable insight into that, and I'm testing these cars all up against each other so you quickly see which ones are not offering optimum quality. Huawei's role in this car is the lidars, the operating system, and possibly the motors as I believe they're in that game now. The car itself is likely assembled by Changan who know how to make cars but aren't exactly a premium brand, and you see that in the flexible bits of interior trim that I highlighted in the video. The biggest risk for me if you're concerned about Huawei would be the motors as it's not always been their game, however motors are considerably less complex than engines so the risk isn't a deal breaker.
@@InsideChinaAuto Something an average human in the developed world could buy, without going in debt for a decade like you can get with ICB cars... 12k gets you a decent car even in today's inflation.
Do you know if this car will be coming to Mexico?
We have several brands from China already
Hard to say at the moment. I haven't seen anything about Mexico yet but it will go out of China so there's a good chance.
Chinese cars will prove themselves in time. I can tell people about this now because I'm living and witnessing it, butqy for those still holding memories of a time when China didn't make such great cars, they need more convincing. That time will come, just as it did for the Korean brands and the Japanese before them.

Does this car comes with english voice assistance. I heard we can choose english language in its infotainment.
It didn't have in the one I drove, but that may have been updated since. Certainly if it is sold outside of China it will have. It uses the Harnony OS system and in the Aito M5 I drove last year it gave the option to switch to English. Might just need to special request it is unlocked if you buy in China.
looking forward to see AVATAR 12
Me too. Saw one in person yesterday and it's even more stunning in person.
Stunning.
100%
I would pick this car over Tesla any day
Me too, especially for the looks.
Keep your doubts and bias, and I guess you also don’t take taxi and buses in London, as those are Chinese brands
The design of this "vehicle" looks like it's from 2040.
It's quite incredible. Has to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated.
This car really want to own it in future .
I'd love this one myself for the looks alone, though the new 12 is more my type of car
Does the infotainment system support English in China?
It didn't in this car but on the AITO M5 which has the same Huawei operating system it was possible, so likely you'd just have to ask to get a download of some kind to open that up.
Thanks but why didn’t you address the elephant in the room. NO HEAD UP DISPLAY! What were they thinking ??
They didn't put one in the 12 or new 07 either. It's a curious choice.
Beautiful car, I wish this would come to Uk/Ireland RHD
Really is. I'd love to see these on trips back to the UK.
That's gorgeous
It really is.

Will US & EU ban this car as it has Huawei component?
Probably. You know they're utterly terrified of good competition.

dream car
It's very, very nice. I love it.
Great looking car and excelent value. I always wondered about the realiability of Chineese care.
因为这是按照中国人的一般身高来设计的,可能外国人普遍身高要高,所以不适应
@cong4085 Yes, I believe so, though I'm not that tall and in fact many young Chinese are taller than me now. Cars like the Rising F7 have the extending base cushion and it's perfect.
Chinese don't usually have chunky body shapes. Taller people in China still opt for European cars for the longer seat and thicker supports.
The problem is the number of EV explosions in China. If only they can overcome that quality/safety issue will they ever go international
I think you're confusing reasonably prominent fires with one particular brand with the entire Chinese car industry. Pretty much every other brand is not having the same issue. Nobody seems to notice the 19x more likely occurrence of ICE car fires by non-Chinese brands, which is curious isn't it?
@@InsideChinaAuto what is my confusion, enlighten me.
Not another ev …. Why ???
Because they're faster, quieter, more efficient, more spacious, and cleaner over their lifetime.
Why not? EVs are the future, stop living in the past. Fossil fuels are projected to be depleted in about 50 years or so.
Design cues from Porsche Panamera :P
This makes a Panamera look like turd.
do you want to spontaneously combust tho?
I'm 19 times more likely to in a petrol car so I'm not afraid of that.
Price? 100-150k $ ??? So only business owners can afford it?
Who said it costs that much?
@InsideChinaAuto most electric cars is close to that today but i found out this car started at 55k as basic so I guess 70k range then you pick necessary accessories
@snippidippi So you're applying 30 - 80k of accessories? Chinese cars don't have that many accessories to add, they come incredibly well kitted out as standard.
@InsideChinaAuto here on Europe you get like wheel and 4 tires for 50-60k and then if you want normal luxury it's at least 10k right away
@@snippidippi You can look forward to getting better equipped cars for less from China then

Distance coverage in one full charge…
Should be in the driving part of the video.
Is it me or is this car look as if it’s based on the Avatar movie?, even the logo strangely enough looks like the logo from the movie and the fact that it has the blue lighting (which I know can be changed) screams Avatar to me, even if they missed out the one “a” in the spelling!, 😀
It looks out of this world, I know that much.
@@InsideChinaAuto Wow, thanks, so the Eletra is probably more comfortable, and it might have a better range but it’s a shame there are no RUclips videos featuring both cars, but I’ll be hoping to check out your review of the Avatr 12 (if you haven’t reviewed it already yet!) 👍🏾

I'd say impressions of Chinese reliability are being downed by two things:
You certainly have not seen how many Tesla in fire! Chinese battery is way better
Well done Porche macan
Oh this looks way better and is way smarter than the Macan. Macan will no doubt have better handling and steering though, that matters more to the European brands.
I like the Macan, but if the car available here Aus, will take this car over Macan anyday.

Interesting feedback. Let's see in time how well these cars last.
@@InsideChinaAuto that is precisely what I think people need to know about the cars. Thanks.
