    I was patient, got lucky and was the only eBay bidder on a pare of these. Pre-Owned, like new, "pristine" with a buy now of $70 and I placed the only bid in 7 days for $31 plus $11.75 shipping plus tax. Out the door for $46. New, retail would have been about $110. Like others here, I watched dozens of videos and compared these buds and others. Feature per feature, the Liberty Air 2's are the best thing going.
    Thanks for your excellent video Chris. It was a deal maker for me.

    Hi Chris, How do they feel in the ear with the silicone tip compared to the Airpods? Any fatigue or pressure? One thing nobody talks about that you covered a little is the airiness of an open-back earbuds and the loudness of your voice when you speak or eat with those closed silicone tips. How do you feel about that after the hype? Nice review, thanks a lot mate!

    • @thechristaft
      @thechristaft  4 года назад +2

      Antoine Viau great question! I would say that when I wear the silicone ear tips, they do create a very tight seal which dampens a lot of external noise. Because of that, the sound quality definitely goes up, but you do feel some pressure in your ear. I used these on a two and a half hour flight last week and had zero issue with fatigue. But, I do prefer Airpods when I am talking on the phone because you can hear your voice better. With the Liberty Air 2s, you aren't getting much of your voice coming through on phone calls, so it's not as pleasant of an experience. If I used them regularly for phone calls, I would just take one out and talk with one in. I do that also with Airpods. I also use my Airpods a lot when I am around my family, maybe cleaning the house or something so that I can be more present and feel like I have a sense of what is going on around me. With the silicone ear tips, I really get cut off from the world, so I mainly use those for private listening experiences. I also find the Airpods comfortable for my ears, so fit isn't an issue with me, but I can't wear them more than an hour before experiencing some pain, so silicone ear tips definitely allow me to have longer listening sessions without taking a break.

    • @AntoineViau-00
      @AntoineViau-00 4 года назад

      Chris Taft Thanks! In the end, do you still prefer the feel, airiness and open to exterior sound of the Airpods?

    • @thechristaft
      @thechristaft  4 года назад +1

      For pure listening, I prefer the sound from the closed experience of silicone ear tips, but if I had to choose only one pair of earbuds to own, I would go with the AirPods for portability and because they work for me in more situations where I need to be more present, due to the open air nature of their fit.

    Thanks for the review! On top of knowing how easily they pair I also wanted to know how well they are at switching between devices depending on where audio is coming from. I'm looking for earbuds that are able to switch between my mac, iPad, and iPhone seamlessly and smartly.

    • @thechristaft
      @thechristaft  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for asking! In terms of switching between devices, it’s definitely not as seamless. You do have to go into your Bluetooth settings on the device you are switching to.

    Sir should I buy liberty air 2 or galaxy buds plus

    • @thechristaft
      @thechristaft  4 года назад

      Hi Babar, I have not used the Galaxy Buds, but have heard a lot of good things about them. Here is my thought.... If you have a Samsung device, I would go Galaxy Buds because you get more features through the Samsung companion app, otherwise, I think you will probably get comparable sound quality between the two earbuds, and it looks like prices are somewhat close as well. It does seem the Liberty Air 2s have a higher water resistance rating.

  • @carrygun_
    @carrygun_ 4 года назад +1

    Hi! firstly, great review. Secondly, I need your advice :) I have never used wireless earbuds before. Based on yours and other users opinions I know that they are pretty good in terms of sound quality and overall usage. But how would you rate them in comparison to a decent 100$ cable earphones. I have a phone using AptX feature so I guess it will improve the sound but as I mentioned, these would be my first tws earbuds ever and I do not know what I can expect from them after 20 years of using decent cable earphones.

    • @thechristaft
      @thechristaft  4 года назад +1

      I think you will most likely always get better sound from a good pair of wired headphones, although the difference in quality is becoming less as wireless headphones get better. Also, if you are using over the ear headphones with a good seal, that will add to the difference in quality. If sound quality is what you are striving for, then wired will most likely be better. I prefer earbuds primarily for portability and the lack of a wire getting in the way. I am always looking for better sound, but am willing to sacrifice in that area a bit for the portability and ease of use.

    • @carrygun_
      @carrygun_ 4 года назад +1

      @@thechristaft thanks for sharing your experience. Sound is important but as you mentioned, portability becomes more and more important. I am done with cables. I believe that I just can't go wrong with the Liberty Air 2. Too much positive feedback coming from almost every single review!

    I would like to get one, felt that its quite good wireless earbud with this price point. But I'm still sketical with the mic picking up our voice while on the call, is it good? And is it good too while using either one of it while on call?
    And one more question , is it easy fall off ur ear on normal daily life and also while do some exercise?

      Hello Sheng Ah, let me do a little more testing with the mics on voice calls today, will get right back to you, but I can say the fit is very solid. No risk of them falling out. I’ve been taking them on bike rides and they do really well, they are comfortable and tight fitting.

    • @thechristaft
      @thechristaft  4 года назад +1

      I did do some additional testing with my wife who was eating at a restaurant. She reported my voice sounded loud and clear. I used both earbuds at the same time and then also tested each separately, first the right ear and then the left ear. Additionally, they do not automatically switch over if you pull the right ear out and insert the left ear. Because you have to pair with each earbud separately to use them on their own, if you are mid call, you need to stick with the earbud you are paired with.

    • @thechristaft
      @thechristaft  4 года назад

      Hello, so when you go into your Bluetooth settings, you will see two pairing devices for the earbuds. One pairs with the right earbud, one pairs with the left earbud. You don’t pair both at the same time, you only pair one. The two device listings allow you to pair with each separately so you can listen to either the left or right earbud on its own.

      William, found this article online. You can use AirPods with non-Apple devices. You can connect via Bluetooth which Samsung devices can do, so should work to connect and listen. However, you lose a lot of features like auto-pairing, automatic ear detection, single AirPod listening, and some touch controls. www.macrumors.com/guide/airpods-android/

    Hello Chris, I hope you're all well. Really thanks for this detailed review. You covered things which apparently not many reviewers covered. You missed out on touch gesture control tho, so please tell me about those like what all the options Liberty air 2 have with touch gesture control. And do each earbud connect separately to the device? Like for instance, Can I connect left bud to my phone and right one to my laptop at the same time, is it something like that? It'll be really helpful for me picking these up if you answer these queries. You cleared most of my doubts with these but please tell me about what I asked you. Thanks 👍👍

    • @thechristaft

      Hilal thanks for watching and great questions... For the touch controls, they are fully configurable via the Soundcore app. You use a combination of tapping twice or holding for 2 seconds on each Earbud, the left and the right, to activate that control. You can Play/Pause, Answer calls or hangup, move to the next track, power the earbuds on and off, and access your voice assistant. You cannot effect volume with the touch controls. I found them to be responsive and did not have any issues. Also, you can connect both buds separately to your phone. That allows you to use both the right or left earbud individually for listening and phone calls. I have not tested each earbud connected to a different device, but will do so this afternoon and will report back to you later today. Thanks!
