- ✓ Join us on a walk on London's famous Tourist destination; Camden High Street - it's a street which feels very unique due to the presence of a lot of independent shops (i.e. not taken over by multinational stores) it's a walk full of surprises where you will come across the unexpected, look out for the following:
* the man walking with his face covered for reason at 2:55
* Mr Pretzels giving out free Pretzels at 5:53
* the man with a dog on his shoulder.....texting at 7:40
* the "Sticks Man at 10:08
* the Parrot Man at 14:47
*the singer at 15:06 is a singer from the band: "The Kings Parade"
There's a lot more to see.....................such as The Stables Market, Camden Lock Market, Camden Lock Village Market, Inverness Street Market & Buck Street Market (Electric Ballroom is now sadly not operating any more).

@@samuelwoods164 - No problem mate, your initial comment touched a nerve because my own father passed away many years ago in 1969 (9 days before my 4th birthday) I don't remember too much but I have a few memories in my mind + photos which i treasure.
Just like you i still miss my Dad as well, now i have my own family it's feels less lonely (and i want to be there for my children).

What an enjoyable time I've had traveling around just absorbing the streets. This really is a very effective way of slowing us all down, I think such video's are becoming more and more popular for good reason. Thank you for sharing. We film natural gopro walks through soulful cities but it's lovely to see others doing a similar thing too.

You're welcome, this stretch of Camden is strictly touristy - not so expensive once you realise that most shops like to haggle to bring the price down.
+Brett West I may be mistaken but if my memory serves me well ,I think the queue for the Wimbledon Tennis winds it's way through Camden before petering out just shy of Finsbury Park Station.If this is correct,I would recommend you acquire a 2 man tent or even a small Gazebo...or both,this is the perfect way to get onto the London property ladder..Wonderful!
I've had connecting flights through Heathrow and Gatwick, but I never took the time to tour London. Thank God! It looks like a madhouse! And this is Camden's high street? It looks like a side street in a slum. At least in Rome or Paris, you see a lot of beautiful people.

Very good view of the market! Mission accomplished! But no one was doing shopping, all were passing through or some looking at the shops and very few had carry bags. Seemed like they were going somewhere or coming back. All looked like locals. Good video.

the pizza shop "café Benjamin" on your left at 4:39 does great pizza! :-p I always have some when im there. the worlds end pub at 8:44, great pub, lovely pint of caffreys in there, spent many a drunken night in there. :-) you should have turned left at 17:00 and walked round the "stables" area! some good interesting shops etc there!
2024, this all changed due to fire on right hand side of video, interesting place and tourist attraction, live just up the road. Great place to live as there is Hampstead village, Hampstead Heath and quick trains to Richmond.

Looks like a scene from the 1950s London from the signage and style of shops layout. Almost every is wearing blue jeans and tennis type shoes. Not sure I want visit this section of London.

How do you know when you're in Camden ? When you take 3 paces out of the tube station and some pushers offers you "skank, Charlie or weed " and you're pestered by pushers every 5 steps you take ...
