I can’t stress enough on the fact of cleaning up your damn trash everybody
I target shoot more than fish at the moment, and I'll say the same for public gun ranges. Just pick up your trash, and dont use the range as your personal dumping ground people.
One of the local ranges by me is beginning to look like an actual landfill with all the crap people dump there constantly.

@@NWFishingSecrets can I give you one little cooking tip? Instead of cooking fish in just butter or a oil/butter combination, buy or make your own ghee. Ghee is just clarified butter but it's smoke point is 250 Celsius compared to 150 Celsius for butter. Has a slightly nutty flavour too. Can buy a jar of it at most grocery stores. Anyway, maybe give it a try and fish on!!

@@NWFishingSecrets Some advice I would have on your fly fishing: try not to spook the fish! Casting a bunch and smacking the water in the same spot can do this. Also, try and time your dry fly fishing for a hatch / morning & evening when they are rising. In fact, there are so many times they rise and I want to yell to switch to your fly rod! I want to see you get them haha. In addition, start experimenting with streamers in lakes and then Dry/Dropper setups in rivers. You'll catch more fish!

I went up to Alpine Lake in the Sawtooths and cought a 17 inch brook trout. Also go check out outdoor idaho season 37 episode 4 timestamp 35:40 and there will be a kid fishing thats me with a 7 inch brook trout.

I fish in Wales for salmon and Sea-Trout on the River Elwy. About 3 weeks ago I night fished on fly, caught a Sea-trout at around midnight and tried to release it. It wasn’t swimming off and so after 10 minutes of my hands in ice cold water I decided not to let the fish go to waste and dispatched it. That is the first trout in my entire life of 17 years fishing that I’ve taken a wild welsh trout home. It was bright silver and fresh out of the sea and I gutted it and left it in brine overnight in the fridge to keep it fresh. I cooked it in foil with seasoning in the oven and had it with chips. Best fish I’ve ever had - In fact it doesn’t even taste like fish at all and I’d never eat supermarket fish again because of it. After this I was looking up other things to do with fish you catch and I found your channel and “catch and cooks”. They never get old I bloody love them. Never stop, your content is high quality, you respect the fish and you are very entertaining!

One thing I thought of watching this video is that you can cut two slots in the door panel where you have your kitchen set up. That way you can always have a kitchen knife and a filé knife with you in the camper van. Great video as always, and it really made me urge for the outdoors yet again!

there is no scale on trout. there is a slim that is helping them to swim in the water. and thats why its very important to water your hand before mamipulate them they are very sensitive fish and can die pretty easily.

Brook trout in my opinion is one of my favorite trout to eat and most of them are pretty small. I grew up in the northwest now I live in North Dakota and I totally miss the mountains.

New subscriber. This is the fishing program I’ve been waiting for! In case nobody has mentioned it...lift your fly rod a little bit at the end of your final cast and it will help deliver the fly the way you want.
Hard times going on in the world and its true, I know I have my problems that I deal with day by day but it's all worth it when I get out there and start fishing. It takes my mind off of everything for a second.
Thank you for showing us yourself picking up trash. I know the general area, and I've felt like it's been littered into oblivion. Lots of campers out there along the Carbon River, and tons of trash alongside the river. I've climbed down beneath the Fairfax Bridge a few times, and I've noticed anything from beer bottles to a full-sized couch. Thanks for doing what you do! You continue to motivate me to get out there and enjoy some scenery. Summer 2020 doesn't have to be all bad.
