    The blood of Christ was for atonement and remission of sins. That's why we invoke the name of Jesus in baptism and call on his name by faith in repentance

    Brother Bernard. What is the finished work? What is the wesleyana theology of entire santificación? Why is it biblical or not? Why do Oneness Pentecostal oftfn embrace the finished work stance? Or how should we view this discusión and differences about santificacion?

    Hebrews 9:
    19. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
    20. Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
    21. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
    22. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
    23. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
    24. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
    25. Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
    26. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
    27. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
    28. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

    Don't you think it would be more intellectually honest to tell your viewing audience that your (false) UPCI interpretation testifies against the Blood of Jesus saving you unless you have a UPCI approved "Jesus Name Only" baptism?

      Jesus Christ is the one who died for you and rose again from the dead in resurrection power… why wouldn’t you want to be baptized in His name? Baptism is for the remission of sins according to Acts 2:38 and other scriptures. Also refer to I John 5:7-8.

    • @remedychef
      @remedychef 3 месяца назад

      @@jeffvinson4875 You would be baptized in His name or in the authority of the Godhead but you wouldn't restrict God's saving grace to only those who were baptized in his English name or deny recognition of salvation to those who were baptized with a variation. Big difference.

      @remedychef You misunderstand the UPCI belief. We do not believe that one must be "baptized in his English name." We do believe baptism is essential, as Peter directed in Acts 2:38 and Acts 10, and as demonstrated by the consistent example of the Apostles. Similarly, the consistent practice of the Apostles was to baptize calling on the name of Jesus. Clearly, they would not have used the English version of his name, and even today UPCI churches in non-English speaking countries will baptize using the name of Jesus in their language, not English. And clearly the baptism doesn't have to be approved by the UPCI, as the UPCI is a relatively recently-formed organization. The Apostles were not UPCI. Rather the opposite, we hope to be like them, ultimately like Jesus.
      As far as excluding others from salvation, we do not desire to exclude anyone, but we cannot preach another gospel, we must preach what we find in scripture. Even Jesus was exclusionary when He said, "no one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) Clearly there are other paths people can take, but they do not lead to God unless they go through Jesus.
      As a licensed UPCI minister I do not believe I personally have the authority to judge who will or will not be saved. That authority belongs to God alone. But I do have a duty to preach the plan of salvation revealed by God, recorded in scripture, taught to the Apostles by Jesus, and exemplified by the Apostles' practice. My answer to the question, "what should we do to be saved," is exactly the same as Peter's: repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sin, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
      I believe this plan of salvation is available to anyone, at any time after the resurrection of Jesus, in any country. I hope the UPCI forever holds to apostolic doctrine, but membership in the UPCI does not guarantee salvation and is certainly not a requirement for salvation.

    Jesus is not God. And he's certainly not one single being who is God. Just read the prayer in Acts 4:24-30 to understand that. Jesus says multiple times that he has a God (John 17:3, John 20:17, Revelation 3:12). Read Revelation 5... who is Jesus taking the book from? The one who sits on the throne, right? Who sits on the throne? Read Revelation 4:8-11. It actually makes less sense than the trinity (which are just inversions of each other, really). The churches are only showing you some of the scriptures to back up their false doctrine. They're Satan's churches. There's some truth in most churches... that's what can trick you.
