I did 72 valid recordings. It doesn't sound like me. Sounds like a robot voice trying to sound like me, badly. Not american but I tried my best impression of an american accent. I used my laptops crappy built in microphone and I think it also picked up the sound distortions it creates, like a background hiss. Also it kind of sounds like it's mumbling.
I think you need a good quality microphone for this, an american accent, loads of input sentences and some luck.
