This is why my kids won't be given phones or roam the Internet without any adult supervision. Parents cry about books being "too graphic" but they hand their kids phones where they can act like complete id10ts and be exposed to anything they want to see. In my opinion, parents are too un-interested to actually parent and want the Internet to do it for them.
Get them a flip phone, you can still get a hold of them and vise versa.
You can also put parental guidance apps on their phones, if you can learn how to use them....
My son saw the dumbing down of all his peers AND HIS TEACHERS. He avoids social media like the plague.
My kid got a phone at 15, she at 17 is rarely using it.

If I see someone like jack Doherty, or neon walking towards me with a cameraman and security goon my only response would be to record him at the same time. They’d probably be so insulted that you didn’t ask their permission and share profits they’d have to move on. Or when neon approached a gym RUclipsrs girlfriend at the gym the gym guy cut him off saying we’re not playing your games. Neon ran off quickly almost looked like he cried. The only way to stop them is deny them consent to be part of their content.

I have a 22 yr old, he's not into social media, thinks it's dumb. He is, however a gamer. He works full time, every evening he plays 3-4 hours. Does his chores (laundry, chg his bed, bathroom, vacuum, etc...) on his days off, helps me with the groceries and some cooking.
So I'm pretty happy, he grew up normal! Yea!
My brother told me his son plays games with other people online and will talk crap to them. I was surprised and kinda disturbed. Nuts.

Better yet, don't give them unsupervised access to the internet until you give them a phone when they're driving on their own. Back in the day it was mainly just disturbing content, gore, or pr0n that would be the worst you could see, but nowadays even large sites are full of truly mindrotting content and degenerate creators. The best bet is leaning into educational content with them. Take part in it with them. Use it as time you get to spend and maybe even learn a little with them. There's such a vast array of educational content even RUclips alone it's insane. There's so much goodness for a young kind to absorb. It just has to be monitored now more than ever before.

I’ve never heard of this kid and you made the absolute right point there - that now I do and I want to know more - but I won’t. I’m 30 and I was in that weird era where I remember dial up internet and getting my first nokia brick phone when I was 12 just to phone my mum to come and pick me up from school if I had to stay late at a club. I employ people a lot (only 10 years 😂) younger that have grown up with the internet and smartphones/iPads and I’m not sure that me and my partner want to raise a kid in this really technology-heavy society. It’s pretty scary to see what the effects will be long term. Appreciate your content dude.
