Hi JJ, thank you 😊 do kindly share with like minded friends and family if you like my videos. I usually put the time at the intro.. for this, it’d be 11am. It already got very busy like a few minutes into business and some popular ones like the tau kwa pau were almost sold out by 1230-100.
@@Piggypuggy Tks for your prompt reply. What day of the week pls? I go there twice a mth on Thursdays to attend the Sners’ Meetings held at the church which you also featured in the start & end of your video. Tks
@@JJQuek oh.. that’s a Beautiful quaint little church. How nice 😃 I checked back and realised I was that on May Day. 1st May. Saturday. I’ve been to quite a few Hawkers these days and I’m also surprised that these days many shops are randomly closed 🤔 maybe age is catching up for some. Those at Changi village actually chose to rest on thursdays.. so they get rested for the weekend which brings a lot more biz

The dunman road wanton mee above is the real deal. Taste good with or without chillie which is super spicy. The wanton mee with the long queue below is nothing to shout about. Different folks, different tastes. Vadai is good. And the crown goes to the tau kwa pow.
engs wanton Mee.. yeah.. I dapaoed in the end.. was a bit soggy after reaching home. But was still good. That old school simplicity to it. Tau kwa Pau was sold out in a matter of hour
Yeah.. I'm quite disappointed that I can't finish trying them allll 😪 each time I visit somewhere far like this hawker.. even tried walking about just to digest and make space for more 🤣😂✌️
What a delicious video....my favourite hawker centre when I was staying at Still Road. There was a wanton mee located at basement. Do not know whether still in business.
Thanks for supporting Hong Huat 😊 there is a wonton Mee stall next to the Tau kwa pau.. but I'm not sure if it's the one. Another subscriber who stayed at Onan road noted that many of his favourites retired 😖.. do let me know if there's any old stall worth preserving for All to see
Thanks for your time Liz 😊 hope to have your comments or questions if you've any on these local hawker foods.. I'm also learning from those who knows them better 😁
I'll need at least 3 stomachs when I visit this place. Have shortlisted the delicious looking tau kua pau, the wanton mee and the braised duck stall for mains. And chinese kueh store and Ali vadai for sides, tau huey to wash it down. Headache headache. Everytime I watch your channel I get headache....
Just go try the Tau Kwa Pau first.. it's quite unique..maybe have a poh piah and some Tau huay.. and kopi Peng.. and maybe some wanton Mee.. if you like.. side plate of white chicken.. Tau huay jui.. followed by peanut pancake.. 🥴😂🤣
😅 dear Doris.. what's your usual mode of transportation? If you click on the Google map link.. and then click on directions.. it will usually guide you on how to get there either by car or by public transportation
Like your profile pic Pat 😁 did you still see those stalls as I walk making my rounds? Or have they retired.. we are currently losing many of the old timers as they are usually near their 70s now
@@yupatrick9635 ahhh.. fond memories.. and thank you Onan Road residents for having the patience to accommodate hungry diners parking alongside their properties 😅😅
The oil for deep frying at the vadai stall is black meaning it's most toxic, unhealthy, oil has never been changed, very bad for high cholesterol and the heart.
