Is literally a hawker pop-up right alongside Pasir Panjang road which used to be the main road leading to the West Coast area. There just used to be a container port behind it and nothing else.. it’s now given new life with all the industrial offices close by. And what’s more.. the MRT is right at its door step. Come take a look.

Piggypuggy, you’re the best! I’m an American foodie living in Hawaii, and Singapore is my favorite eating country. Many dishes and hawker centres added to my list for my next visit at Spring Break on the basis of your excellent videos. Yum!! So many dishes similar to the ones I enjoyed on a regular basis during my twelve years in Taiwan.
Sorry - but the food in Taiwan is in no way as good as Singaporean food. Just spent 15 months in Taiwan, and was quite disappointed.... The only cuisine which is better in Taiwan than Singapore is Japanese food....
I agree that overall Singaporean is unmatched, and also agree (with Japanese) that Japanese food in Taiwan is better than anywhere outside Japan. But I would suggest that Taiwan overall is just as good if not better than Singapore for dishes originating in Hokkien-dominated areas in China and further developed over the centuries by the Taiwanese.
@@gilchristhaas9865 I beg to differ. Ever tried Hokkien Mee or Prawn Mee in Singapore? These originate from Fujian, although there has been some fusion with Malay cuisine with the usage of sambal in Hokkien Mee. There is nothing in Taiwan that comes close to this. Oyster Omelette in Taiwan is one gloopy mess- the same dish done by the Chinese in Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand is way, way better. Beef noodles in Taiwan are good, but the Hainanese and Teochew versions of the dish you can find in Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand are just as good.
@@Ccb88888 I have to say I prefer Taiwan Oyster Omelette over the Singapore version, but it’s definitely an acquired taste. BTW, you’re not in Hawaii, are you? (808 is our area code.)
@@gilchristhaas9865 No, I'm in Seoul
Love all your vlogs. We are travelling to Singapore in November and will try a lot of the centers and all the nice food. We never see Piggy's face and if we bump into you at a centre, we will never be able to thank you for work on You Tube. Also, how do you keep those t shirts clean? When I eat some of the food actually ends up on my shirt front!!
I’ve actually gone thru 6-10 of these shirts after each got bombed with curry.. haha.. it’s ok. I’m not the star. The hawkers and the food are. Try everything and don’t finish them.. these are rich food made to fuel blue collared laborers back in the early 1900s.. just a few taste and compare which might be your liking
Another great coverage by you! especially the newest/latest HCs. was wondering if you have covered any HC in Buona Vista area in your episodes? l-)
You always never fail to state the name of the Food n Hawker Centre ❤🎉
Món ăn ngon quá ban ❤
Thank you ☺️

Thanks!
Wow! Piggy’s first ever 🥰🥰🥰
@@Piggypuggy You're welcomed! Been entertaining me for the last 2 years....
Thanks for the vids. Was expecting to see the famous vege ckt, haha. Anyway this place is not familiar to me. Last visit probably more than 15 years ago. Hor fun looks good, but would skip the fried bits. I'm old school. So the dum biryani shifted here. Was looking high and low for them at Ayer Rajah. Mystery solved.
I started visiting this hawker because my favourite hawkers shifted off the streets from railway station area. Recalled I would frown at the CKT. Coz nobody would ever put greens 🥬 🥬 🥬 especially on a dish like CKT. But for some reason.. some welcomed it. And eventually even become an acquired taste to some. There used to be an old Chinese satay uncle and old kambing soup that was so good. They were already in their 80s during the 80s.
1 of my favorite place to eat when I used to work at HBF. the most unique thing is day time and night time feels like 2 different hawker centers
Yeah.. this place is like a seafood hub come night time.. satays and seafood 🦞 galore 😄
The sound track fades in and out while always dancing with the hubbub of the of he busy crowd and the clatter of the hawkers. Champagne RUclips, Piggy.
Not entirely sure of the toucan tee shirt however.
Haha.. remembered it was from some shop in Australia..🇦🇺 my Happiness Jar took a break from its uniformed schedule today. Off to Japan 🇯🇵 for year end hols this coming week. Take care Dr. M 😊
The ckt uncle told me to stir fry the noodle myself. I am like huh? The satay stalls only open later in the evening. Different stall open from the office lunch crowd to the dinner crowd.
Dinner time this place is kinda like satay club with loads of seafood. But could definitely be a local option to newton circus 🎪
How are you able to eat so much food in a day? It's incredible indeed. Can you recommend some nice stalls in Tampines hawker centre? Thank you
Not recommended to eat that many things at one sitting.. 😅 I try my best not to finish everything.. but sometimes it’s hard not to.. food coma sets in for the rest of the day 😵💫
Been to the Tampines Round Hawker Centre.. was in my earlier videos. Haven’t been to the modern ones yet
wow, it's been a long time since I last visit this hawker after I left my ex-company. Look like quite a few new stalls move in these past few years. Sad the hokkien mee no more. Oh and the ckt uncle is still there though, I remember if you are choosy with your ckt (etc ckt without bean sprouts or no cockles, sometimes if the uncle will tell you straight off he don't want to sell you already.)
Haha.. old and grumpy? It’s sometimes hard to keep composure.. I know I’ll definitely loose my cool if there’s too many special requests. He’s probably the first guy to start adding vegetables to CKT. His signature marketing move to incorporate the healthy notion to CKT
Thank you
Thanks for your kind support k ☺️
Have a great week ahead
Grammar in title is wrong. It is either ‘so much choice’ or ‘so many choices’.
Ipoh Tze char on my to try list next 😅
How's your week Wendy? 😊 wonder if he's an ex restaurant chef.. the similarities to what you get at Crystal Jade hor fun at $13.90 plus gst... Singapore prices are getting unbearable. Probably the reason why folks are happy to pay $5-10 for a meal at hawker centres..hahaha
@@Piggypuggy a lot of ex chefs doing hawker start up but not all can make it - could be rental, positioning etc. .... I feel if Singapore is serious about this UNESCO hawker centre preservation, def the rental bidding system in hawker centres does need a review so that hawkers can price their food according to what the market is willing to pay without the pressures of inflated rental like for e.g. $6K for a stall at Maxwell
👍 wow everything looks good 🤤
Not bad huh? I was surprised business was so good here
@@Piggypuggy the mutton soup is famous, sold out very quickly :)
Hope the Piggy is not freeloading again on the hawkers.
finally see your face :)
I hired a double model 😅
👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are young, i am surprised cos you always give us the impression you are quite old in your description. This hawker centre is not cheap, they all also trying to justify the price is fair with inflation and GST. At the rate it is going, the best kitchen is home kitchen, the national kitchen has really lost its charm.
Haha.. thank you ☺️
Yeah.. not cheap. Looks like only the local neighborhood hawker centres are keeping prices to $3.50-5... meanwhile the newest hawker centres are forced to sell something at $3.50
@@Piggypuggy this sorta mandatory budget meal will not work, the seller not happy, the buyer subconsciously feels humiliated to choose this dish
@JS-ev4xc exactly.. I experimented it on the Senja and Sembawang hawker centre.. all gave me the dirty looks. Many even hide it behind chopsticks. Fact is costs are rising and we give $800 for rising costs 😂
@@Piggypuggy eat at home, more nutritious and value4$. I mean for us ordinary folks, for u as food tuber, do enjoy ur food exploration. 😀
@JS-ev4xc actually I don’t leh.. 😢 eat too much.. just for the sake of showing a few more things since go all the way there. And can’t sit and slowly enjoy because of all the tripod angles and food turning cold. So I’d always go on separate days to eat again 😂. Other days I try to starve if I can just to balance out the week
