2 out of 5 B team members-- remember, Scottie and Kari are also MythBusters.
They probably cut off the throttle at the first jump of the car..
If they'd watched Colin McRae Rally Lectures, they'd know that to let the car not nose-dive, you gotta use throttle for the wheels to keep rotating in order to use gyroscopic effect.
I unintentionally jumped one of my Fieros years ago. Misjudged the road conditions. Lol. Small jump, but it landed fine. Kept the throttle pegged. No major nose dive.
That was sick!!
narrator in left ear was nice touch
Amazes me that people think its a legit design choice. C'mon bro.
I had forgot just how bad mythbusters botched tests in early seasons like this. Like why would you test a myth that had a long gradual ramp by using a short kicker and then not realize that’s why the car endo’d
That ans the lambo is mid engine isn't it?.. the yellow car isn't
@@squad-wh4igbut it is a mid engine, they said its the same car as the second test car
One would think that certain movie myths could be as simple as calling the people who worked on the film and asking them.
Also that was not CGI there is no myth. The car actually did the skip over the water in the movie. No idea how deep that water was in the movie, but that is a real car, with a real stunt driver.
@@Pagliacci_Rex It's possible they did call the SFX people and other people in the film crew. But if it were simple, it would never make very good reality TV.
I never drink straight from a can, I always use a straw.
Narrator teleports behind you. "nothing personal kid."
my left ear loved the intro announcer lol
Oh lord, I have to take my earbuds off and use phone speakers
I hear Robert in that corner again^^
I need that Gold Fiero...please, can I have it..
it actually makes a ton of sense that the toilet seat is technically the cleanest household object. it's sort of like survivorship bias. since people would tend to think of their toilet seat as being the dirtiest thing in the house, it likely gets cleaned a lot more often than other objects which people don't actually consider dirty, or don't touch often enough or long enough to consider that they'd pick up many germs. that being said, i always wash my hands after touching money, regularly clean my keyboards and device screens, and i hope everyone else does too!
A late uncle of mine worked in a biscuit/cookie factory, he worked nights on maintenance of the factories machinery. He turned me off biscuit/cookie for life after he informed me the factory was plagued by both rats and mice in large numbers. Their droppings of solid waste was just brushed of the biscuit/cookie but he never mentioned their water wate production. Many food factories are plagued by rodents and flies when there's no staff on site and we get to consume these products daily.
Many countries have laws where there is a minimum allowed amount of insect matter in a specific amount of product. Gross as hell.
I contend that the Fiero flipped because the ramp was way too short, kicking the back end up and over. had the ramp been longer, that MIGHT not have happened.
It would’ve happened because Lambo - rear engine car
Test vehicle- front engine car
I still have a Pontiac Fiero. I have this episode saved for.... reasons.
Now you know that the V6 can handle a 100 (maybe?) shot of nitrous for at least 5 seconds lmao
Double the pond length and I think it will make it across, great episode, thanks for the upload!
It's bad they didn't notice that,in the movie the car goes down a bit before jumping the pond so it means the ramp was kind of inverted sort of. Sort of like downhill with a bump but close to the water, that's why the car lands with the rear wheels on the water and it acts like a flat rock skipped
On the car slip it depends, every hydroplaning is infact a car skipping on water. Distance, speed and angles are key to if it will work.
My left ear enjoyed the narration.
RIP Jessi Combs and Grant Imahara🙏🙏🙏
sometime makes you wonder if they did just for do or physics and some beforthought... i mean fly car first than.. oh weight center was rear..

Nos completely unnecessary. Well done guys. Keeping it Mythbuster
