You may need more protein...the older you get the more protein you need. Read "The Search for the Perfect Protein " you can find it free online. There's MANY dis-eases associated with low protein intake. If you're like me and have tried a bazillion different remedies and they only help temporarily- the one thing that has helped me immensely is increasing my protein intake- quality protein!

WOW!!! I was diagnosed with MTHFR gene Mutation back in 2016 after multiple mid term miscarriages after having 4 healthy pregnancies. I have both Homozygous and Heterozygous genes so I am susceptible to most things that you listed here. I have been suffering from depression, Anxiety and panic attacks for last 8yrs+. I eat healthy as I am a former IIN student, however I suffer from many inflammatory illnesses. I take Vitamin D with K2, methylfolate, B12 and a host of other supplements to help, however I haven't really noticed a decrease in any of my symptoms. I suffer with low heme iron as well and never realized that it was a symptom of MTHFR. This video and information comes to me at a time in my life where I am determined to live healthy and heal no matter what it takes. I truly appreciate all of this information, you are God sent.

    My dad's liver recipe:
"Bring the pan to FULL heat, greased with butter ghee.
Put the chopped liver into the frying pan and cover with a lid (occasionally turning the liver)
When the meat is cooked through, turn the heat off and cover in chopped raw onion (one large cooking onion)
Throw in some dried parsley, oregano, lemon juice, salt and olive oil
Leave the pan lid on top and let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the onion to pull the pungent taste from the liver"

We know that you must be extremely busy, but we would like you to please start a new video series, perhaps called, "what I eat in a day" or " what I keto in a day", where you will basically show us what you eat, drink, and what kind of supplements/vitamins you take during a day. If possible, make the video series for at least 30 days, it doesn't have to be consecutive but at least we would like to see one whole month of videos in total. We all would like to get a better idea of what exactly is in your daily diet. Thanks, from Japan.

I have MTHFR - compound heterozygous - one faulty gene from both parents. Didn't notice it until later in life then the gene 'switched on' and suddenly my whole life changed. When I eat chicken liver I feel normal - like I used to feel before MTHFR - lots of energy, almost no inflammation and a clear head. My liver loves it when I eat liver because the nutrients are instantly accessible. Good advice about stopping supplements - don't take them all the time, that's why they're called supplements - they supplement your diet. The body has to work hard to break them down and the stomach lining has to be in good shape too. People with MTHFR - focus on eating organic food, reduce chemicals in your environment and detox as much as possible. Stay away from heavy metals - that's in most fish. Green tea seems to help and hemp oil is good too. Sweat out the toxins if you can or dry brush the skin, epsom salt baths and keep the stress down.

My daughter HATES liver! She is in an assisted living facility for heart problems andvdiabetes.
Zero nutritious foods! I buy her organic when possible, also pre cook some freezer meats ie stews, casseroles, packets of meats she incorporates into other meals. These are portioned freezer meals.
Point here is …. grass fed ground bf. and frozen organic liver. (She has no clue!) Frozen liver chops up into little bitty pieces. Toss liver onions, garlic beef, (green peppers if you wish ) into skillet…brown . When cool…bag it for freezer.
She loves it! I’ve never told her liver was in it….think it would gag her.
I know many of the healthy improvement she’s experienced over last two years has been due to addition of more nutritious foods. Thanks Dr. BERG for confirming.❤️
And for all you liver haters out there……….this really works. The addition of 1-2 slices of an organic bacon will absolutely camouflage any liver flavor.

I was experiencing nerve, joint and muscle pain and was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I started taking methy-b12 and methyl-folate and my nerve pain disappeared overnight. My cognitive function significantly improved and my overall pain is way less. My mood is way better and my adhd has improved. I know that it’s been said that we can turn our Genes off and on. I got C 3 years ago, April 2021 and I’m still suffering. I have done so much research over the past few years that it has brought me to my old root canals and wisdom teeth cavitations are what the root cause is to all my systemic illness. I have so much inflammation in my body, especially my lungs. RANTES in jawbone cavitations can cause all sorts of disease, systemic inflammation and even cancer. I wonder if RANTES could also be at play in turning on Genes?!

Just cooked liver yesterday! 😋 I keep it stocked in my deep freezer.I was raised on eating beef liver and still love it to this day and now my daughters love it too! We also eat it for iron. But the thing is, I’ve only ate it fried. I season and lightly flour it and fry in light olive oil. Frying may not be the best but It would seem disgusting eating it any other way. Thank you for the video!

I cut the liver in medium size stew-like pieces, dip it in egg then the bread crumbs mixed with little parm cheese. I fry it in a big enough pan with some olive oil so I have room for flipping it over. I keep turning it over until it’s nice and brown but not burned. I found it doesn’t take long to make it this way, it stays softer and it tastes delicious. Once done I’ll take my “liver stew”😀 out and add little more oil to the pan and do my onions. Sometimes I may cook up some mushrooms separately, I guess you could add anything you’d like. I try to make it at least twice a month so in between we may have some liver sausage instead. I know it’s processed, but we don’t eat it too often and I think it’s better than eating some other junk out of a box. Oh, forgot to add, that if I have any leftovers they taste even better the next day. Sometimes I snack on them cold, lol.

Although liver king made a mistake about his steroid use or whatever, at least he did come forward and admitted his mistakes. However he's absolutely right about having liver in your life therefore I will still watch the Liver King and remain a fan. The man inspired me to have liver at least twice a week along with scrambled eggs, sweet potatoes, and beans and a banana. I gotta tell you that combination right there will have you ready to take on the tuffest of days. I feel absolutely amazing ever since I've started eating this meal every week. So much I can tell you how it helps. And it's a cheap low cost meal. Win win win. ( Splash a light spoonful of dale's seasoning and or Worcester sauce on the liver...mmmmm amazing 😍)

Hi ! Great video - crystal clear - well-spoken My issue with liver is when I eat cooked liver, no matter how it's prepared, when I chew the consistency is like chalk and the taste is so disgusting my gag reflex kicks in. EVERY TIME. I've tried beef, chicken, and every other liver out there - gag time every time. Therefore since oysters are the 2nd more nutrient rich and I do not care for oysters nor would I want to load up on shellfish, what other types of fish, meat, poultry, whole grain cereals, beans, lentils - any veggie or fruit - I love them all, what is also a good source for me to get an equivalate liver-dose without the liver 🙂 ? Many thanks !!!

My mother used to cook a variety of foods including cow's liver. I like liver. Liver is good for the body. It cleans the system when eaten in a regular basis. The funny thing is that the body "knows" what it needs, there are foods that sit well and others that do not.

    • @krissto22

Yep, I’ve learned from my mom and grandma too. They knew what our bodies needed. Years ago my doc told me to follow low fat diet because of my cholesterol, so I did and my cholesterol didn’t change so they wanted to put me on statins, to which I said No. I’ve been eating mostly fruits, vegetables and chicken. This diet started to erode my gastric system to the point that I developed IBS and could only tolerate certain fruits and veggies. So, after doing some research on YT and remembering my mom’s and grandma’s cooking I figured I had nothing to lose and started eating variety of meats, reduced amounts of fruits and veggies and finally have been doing better, and guess what? My cholesterol went down! I was in shock myself. My good cholesterol shot up and all other numbers went down. I’m going to have it rechecked again just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke😉

The ragweed (allergy) season is almost over, ate liver 1-2 times/week combined with lemon juice (hence your videos on allergies - stomach acid , b vitamins) and I was almost symptomless throughout the season. Found out about homocysteines, and now I'm waiting for my blood test on it (if levels are higher, than it means I still deficient in these nutrients, and so I might say goodbye to my allergy) Thanks again Doc.

B12 and homocysteine have an indirect, but inverse relationship..like a swing..
When B12 is high(over 1500) homocysteine shuffles down to a healthy level. Eating liver, green salad, and taking 5mg methylcobalamin Daily will very probably get your homocysteine down.
High homocysteine promotes atherosclerosis in a very big way.

I started eating clean and non gmo , mostly organic as much as possible..even with makeup lotions and such going as clean as possible...when I do eat anything enriched..it hurts my head...the fake folic acid gets into your blood brain barrier and is really bad for people with these genetic mutations...my mother would cook liver when I was little...I'm going to try and start eating it again...its do hard because a lot of people do not take in their nutrients and can not assimilate their food so well...I take enzymes to help that..but much thanks Dr. B I watch many of your vids and really appreciate your wealth of knowledge! After having many vitamin deficiencies for YEARS, even though I was taking Vitamins and extra iron, and also having issues with no mental health meds helping me at all, my new psychiatrist ordered the test for the MTHFR genetic mutation and my test came back positive for 3 different issues to do with malabsorption. So even though I was taking all these meds and vitamins (that contained folate) my body doesn't break down the folate into methylfolate which is what the liver needs (not in folate form) so I've been just wasting years and money. I've started methylfolate with my vitamins (making sure none of them include folate, which can be hard to find!) and I see my psychiatrist next week to find out which meds might work better in my case now that we have this new information. Also, I used to LOVE liver as a kid and teenager, but the last time I tried it I gagged every bite. 😥

I have started the GAPS protocol and will be on it for probably 2 years if not longer. The younger you are the faster you will probably heal. I’m 42 and have had weird symptoms and issues practically my whole life. So I’m sure it’s going to take my body a lot of time to heal. Hope this helps someone! Please look into her books. Another one is a GAPS stage by stage recipe book by Becky Plotner to help with meal ideas while doing the introduction stages especially. ❤️
