Very detailed and specific video on a great topic. This technique gives you tons of options. You don't need to replace drum samples every time ofc, but the option to easily do so if needed in a quick & reliable way is stunning.

Love it, for Neutron 4 I would like to see more detail presets for orchestra (like Oboe, Flutes, Basson, and Clarinet) and it will stereo pan place them in the mix like a real orchestra. As well as Genre options to help guide the assistant for better mixing (hip hop drums doesn't mix like metal drums, etc).

@@iZotopeOfficial I would definitely upgrade to a newer version if it had orchestral settings.

Right right. Hearing that calm soothing voice say "PIG DESTROYER" was a good laugh.

wonderful tutorial! thanks! it would be lovely to see if drummer 3 & neutron 3 would work just as well with an austere jazz drum recording! with some jazz (for example the classic jazz trio: piano, double bass, drums) recordings, the ambient space is essential to its overall sound. I wonder how drummer 3 would recreate that kind of sound/groove and space.... and if neutron 3 could be just as effective with its sound "suggestions".

Who does the voiceover work? Is it an Izotope employee or a professional voice actor. I’ve come to associate the voice with Izotope and the person does a great job (and unsurprisingly given it’s from Izotope, the quality is flawless).

Aaron Cooke that would be me, and thanks for the kind words, ( yes, I’m an iZo employee)

Manchester Music ...So... Professional voice actor AND works for Izotope... if I didn’t love my life, I’d take yours (wait, that came out wrong... you know what I mean!)

Aaron Cooke well, to be fair I’m not a professional voice actor, but I’ve been told I have a “face for radio” lol, gonna flex the dulcet tones if I got em’.

pls add "cc = subtitles" to every videos, we are watching your videos around the world and sometimes its hard to understand/listen teacher's language/acccent. EVEN AUTO TRANSLATE TO ENGLISH IS ENOUGH TOO. WE NEED TO READ WHILE LISTENING TO UNDERSTAND %100 PERFECTLY!

I personally feel that this program is way overused. That said, seeing the amount of work that was out into this software is pretty neat.

Truly sad indeed. Remember the amazing sounding drums in the rock classic War Pigs by Black Sabbath. No modern artificially induced drum sound can beat that.

Actually not loving the sound of it, sounding more like a machine gun than drums. Would prefer to dive into the mix and improve the natural sound before just destroying the recording. No personality. Then Neutron and Superior drummer can help to improve the result... Please don't forget not to be lazy.
