I believe they made Zane switch to Cyberdark after they realized that Cyber Dragon was broken during that era, for those who don't remember Cyber Dragon was even limited at that time. That might even be considered what defined the archetype being revolved around Monsters that emulate the Cyber Dragon name, as you simply couldn't play 3 and, when you could, it was already heavily powercrept.

@@smashmaster521 I’ve never actually heard that term before, but I’ll answer the best I can, please correct if it’s not what you asked. I never looked at a build to build my deck for one. So at first when it was pure(before infinity) I ran barrier & laser dragons as well(I now know that was horrible) so I really didn’t do that good then. But after infinity & rampage, I came across galaxy soldier(“cyber dragon Faris” as I call it 😂), then the light machine kaiju(who’s name I never remember). So I did better during that time of ygo(id say from a 1-3) Then I took a little time off after my mother passed which was just before link monsters. Then I got back in when nachter was released, bought everything I needed. I’d say a fluctuation from 5-6. I do really well, I tried to make it so it wipes boards, Otks, or controls. The build does give me bricks, but it does what I need when I need it to most of the time. And with how the cyber dragons are now, the mess up of one strategy actually opens the path to the next strategy. Do you play them? At this point I really don’t see any reason to change to a different deck for tournaments. It’s just good enough to stay competitive, but never goes to far as to get hit on the ban list. I also play a cyberdark deck when I’m just bullshitting. I have the cyber angel engine, I just never bought the other stuff I need. I’m a huge fan of the whole cyber cousin family thing the archetypes have together. Can’t mix them at all, but they look cool when you have them piled next to each other. Sorry I answered more then I needed too.
@@justanotherofmanychannels6029 It's fine. Steamrolling in this instance refers to wiping the floor with your opponents by using overwhelming force. As for my deck, it isn't really focused on any particular archetype, although I do have most of the Elemental Heroes from the anime. My strategy focuses more on getting as many of my strongest monsters out on the field while using various card effects to either boost the strength of my monsters or making them easier to summon while increasing my Life Points so that I can use my more dangerous card effects. However, this also means my deck is simply not viable in the current meta. For example, I just added Cyber-Stein and Cyber End Dragon to my deck once I learned from this video that Cyber-Stein's effect allows me to Special Summon Cyber End Dragon without 3 Cyber Dragons (I only have one Cyber Dragon as part of an Xyz Structure Deck), but I'm fairly certain that won't fly in the current meta since Cyber-Stein is probably banned for that reason. Additionally, only being able to summon one Extra Deck monster without Link Monsters severely cripples my deck, since cards like Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman, Elemental Hero Shining Phoenix Enforcer, and Colossal Fighter grow stronger if I can fill up my Graveyard with Elemental Heroes or Warriors (which includes the Elemental Heroes), but I can't spam Fusion thanks to the current ruleset. In short, my deck is built for casual play and revolves around overpowering my opponent with overwhelming force.
We need one of these on Kite from Zexal. Everything related to the Photon/Galaxy archetype(s) is fucking insane. Seriously. And if it isn't those goddamn dragons, it's the Raidraptors.
5:12 That's its anime effect. It's TCG eff can only attack monsters multiple times (so a max of 6 attacks) Believe me if it had it's anime eff it would probably be banned even to this day

I use powerbond for chimeratech rampage dragon with is INSANE. destroy trap cards plus 3 attacks? it still gets really nutty. especially when you have cyber dragon infinity on the field to protect rampage dragon. ive been able to win on turn 2 consistantly. it gets even crazier when you use phalanx pike on a cyber dragon and then activate rampage dragon. the buff from phalanx pike is just insane.
Professor Chronos or Jack Atlas next, bro! Good video as always
Been playing cyber dragon consistently since I started playing again almost like 9 years ago.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you steamroll your opponents with Cyber Dragons?
In short, my deck is built for casual play and revolves around overpowering my opponent with overwhelming force.
chazz definitely id like to see you review ojamas armed dragons and vwxyz lol
We need one of these on Kite from Zexal.
Everything related to the Photon/Galaxy archetype(s) is fucking insane. Seriously. And if it isn't those goddamn dragons, it's the Raidraptors.
How broken were Alexis Rhodes cards?
Look guys I know cyber darks are garbage but their kinda fun in like duel links or whatever where they’re consistent
Love the video. Could you please do Aster Phoenix next?
5:12 That's its anime effect. It's TCG eff can only attack monsters multiple times (so a max of 6 attacks)
Believe me if it had it's anime eff it would probably be banned even to this day
Great video and information I think you can pause a little bit more between sentences on your commentary style to make it flow a little better and have more cadence with the viewer to allow them time to sink in what you just had previously said. Great video though like I said, looking forward to more, just some constructive criticism.
Dzeeff do think u could a series about going over some of big meta over the years. I recently gotten back in to the game after stopping mid GX. I have never played in any tornament myself but I've been thinking about it. Everytime I play against a deck in dulest challenges on link evolution I think wow this deck most have been op when came but it could have actually been bad I won't know. I think it be a cool history series for us peasents lol. Also a character I think would be cool to see in this series is chazz.
How powerful were Yusaku Fujiki/Playmaker’s cards
That "Clear World " card is the only legal version from his deck
@@abuhassan8849 that's Fujiwara not Fujiki
Why suggest a vrains character? Clearly their cards are going to be good
Hey Dzeeff, are you not posting deck profiles recently because there are no events? What decks have you been playing recently? (Haven’t watched/played YGO in a while, your deck profiles are my favorite content on the channel)
How good were Aster Phoenix’s cards?
Great video! Can you do Kalin Kessler next?
How about Jean Claude Magnum?
if you use limiter removal and megamorph at the same time will cyber end dragon be 16000 or stay at 8000?
16000
*sees thumbnail*
now u got my attention.
No mention of the cyber dark archetype?
Cyber darks did see tons of play in duel links. with that saed, can you make a serie like this one but you discuss cards in a duel links competitive perspective.
I have found the Duel Links player, guys.
Keep up the good work.
Dzeeff: What do you think?
Me: Coff coff supreme king coff coff
Bakura or Pegasus would be good choices to cover next
My favorite deck I ever build was an Jinzo + Horus deck
If I summon both, the oponent cannot Activate traps or spells
But that deck has Cyberdragon and Chimeratech overdragon as well
So It was my final gambit
I sent every Machline Type monster in my deck to GY With Future Fusion
Overload Fusion the Chimeratech and (which has about 13~15K ATK) and Limiter Removal it to deal 30k just for fun
Obviously this deck isn't good anymore
But It was a Beast in late GX or Early Zexal
Straight up broken
Hey Dzeeff, PLZ do the Supreme King next!🙏
I find it silly that Power Wall didn’t get the same effect as the anime considering when it was released. Would negating 100 points of damage by milling cards be that busted?
well if you think about it back in the day people feared two cards blue eyes or cyber dragons those two and a bit of heros at the time for yugioh gx era of dueling . at the time when i was a teen people was afrade of those cards .
I love these series!
GX: Aster Phoenix, Jesse Anderson, Chazz Princeton
5D's: Yusei, Jack, Crown, and Kalin
How good were Sakaki Yuya's cards?
Also, everyone is ripping on Cyberdarks but you could probably do a "Why Nobody Remembers" video on the even weirder offshoot Cyber Ogres, which were used by Zane's master.
Me still hoping more Cyberdark cards are printed and made for modern competitive plays.
Is that 2nd place Cyber Style Deck coming out yet?
"Powerbond is not really seen in modern Cyber Dragon decks" well phooey to you sir!
Talking about anime characters card you should also talk about anime only card effects that the effect isnt like in real life..
And the perfect character for that is Z-Arc from Arc V
You didn't mention an important limitation Chimeratech Overdragon has, which is that it can attack multiple times but ONLY to your opponent monsters, which is awful for today Yugioh standards, I honestly don't know how good was back then
ahh finally the good stuff i played in alot of turnaments back in the day :D
I did see 2018 worlds winner play Cyber Dragon it kind of eventually got power crept by Pankratops
