I bought a Notch hat a couple years ago sort of on a whim, because I thought the design looked cool, and not because I had any sort of issue with my sunglasses and hat colliding. I have a big head, and most hats don't fit low enough to cause any issues. That first hat didn't really do anything for me, and I felt a little silly for buying it just because I thought it looked cool.
Then I was wearing my prescription glasses at work one day, and had to drive a long distance. I am pretty sensitive to bright light, so I had my hat pulled down low, and if kept pushing the frames down, and my glasses kept digging into my nose. And that is when I realized that Notch hats are a brilliant design.
These hats aren't for everyone. But if you have ever pulled on your hat, and them been irritated and had to push your glasses back up, these might be the hats for you.
Factor 85 Labs is about sharing the things I enjoy, in a practical way that works for dads and families. I wear glasses and always thought this was a gimmick but you got me looking at it and I realized that it's not a problem for me because my glasses are small. if I had larger frames then I would have this issue and that notch would solve it. It's not a gimmick it's just that not everyone has this problem.

one thing nice about their athlete hats is if your wearing ear pro over you don’t have that knob at the top which is an uncomfortable pressure point

I always hated wearing caps because it always pushed down on my prescription glasses. I came across the Notch caps and wow! So much better now. Wearing a cap is no longer uncomfortable.

Well this is helpful! I saw this and i was more looking at them for use with my glasses (big plastic frame ones) that i wear all the time. Glad i decided to get the Terra Notch ones.

Yes the notch had he has is for Wayfarer style and eye glasses there’s a different style notch for the wraparound glasses the had in at first.

Yep, all depends on what sort of glasses you are wearing. And a little bit of what size your head is.
