Your passenger mirror should automatically dip when you engage reverses gear if you have the mirror adjustment switch to ‘L’. You can then adjust to suit. Will go back to normal when you come out of reverse

I've been using the key protection pouches for years. The one mistake I've seen so many people make is they put their main key into the box/pouch, but then leave their spare key in a drawer. So don't forget about your spare key, it needs its signal blocking too.

Box is a Faraday cage. To correctly adjust your mirrors in the bottom left and bottom right corners of your mirrors, you should be able to see the reflection of the front door handles. Setting it this way usually maximises what you can see and also be able to see a little bit of your wheels. Thank me later 👍🏽
I mean the plates are illegal, i have 4D plates myself and i looked up the legality on the DVLA before buying them and it says theyre only legal if the whole of the letter is black including the edging, yours are clear. Similar to the ones that have neon coloured see through edging that are only classed as show plates for off road use at shows/car meets.

You need to keep the mirror dial towards the left one (at all times), put the gear in reverse, set it down, then when you go to drive and move a little it should go back to its original position.
in my golf if you put the car in reverse then change the mirror dial to L and then lower the mirror to your blind spot it saves that location so when you go in and out of reverse the mirror automatically goes up and down.
I’d be worried about the key case, because if they can’t get the signal from outside, if they really want the car they’ll just break in and demand the keys off you which is a bit worse. But for opportunistic thieves it’s good

Mirror dip is an option you can unlock via carista customisation on VW
