They also implied that the resurrection might last until the end of some massive battle in natlan. It might be a way for people to continue fighting after death. I might be reading too much into it though.
Genshin can make their characters how ever they want. But the real representation is in it's music. I felt that in my spirit, I heard my people singing and it brought peace to my soul. Seeing the natives playing the flutes and drums also the singing omg...Amazing.

I'm a black person myself, and the amount of people who have been complaining about the skin colors of the characters and npcs had been getting on my nerves so much it's really not even funny. I've honestly decided to leave this community and just play the game itself because of the amount of complaining people do about everything. They have us what we wanted, more diverse skin and me rewards, yet people's are still complaining. Get it together guys.

I'm with y'all I was SO happy with the Indian influence they showcased in Sumeru, it was beautifully and respectfully done. The region felt and still feels familiar to me in my heart. Little details like the shrines under the trees and the eremites socialising reminded me of places I grew up in. I wouldn't see a tanned character and say "ahh yes, that's peak culture" What hoyo did do felt closer to my experience. Ps Wanting Nahi to be brown for example is so stupidly ignorant 'Nahida' is not a Sanskrit name, and this is a fantasy religion. Even if we wanted to pretend Nahi was a Hindu goddess expy......well 1) 99.99% of the goddesses are super fair skinned 2) The one goddess that feels directly referenced by Buer's concept (Ma Saraswati) has milk white skin Just one example. The online rage looks to be mostly by those that are either not part of the cultures influencing the game, or have some ancestry but haven't grown up in the culture itself and are quite distanced from it.

But since it's a Chinese company and majority of Chinese people believe that white or pale skin is the beauty standard so I just know that Hoyoverse will never give a really dark skinned character in Genshin. The music performance at the end, it was an amalgamation of multiple cultures right? Because i could tell that some instruments/attires/markings/music were very specific and different from the rest. Holy shit they did it so well. Mr. YuPengChen, the music is in the right hands...you can breathe easy.

Honestly the free stuff=good game has always been a bad excuse especially when they do well it's a GACHA( basically saying it's okay for every other company) game. To me free stuff is pointless if you ain't enjoying the game and someone who always gets insulted with beggars mentality cause I say Idc I'm happy with what I get. I'm an African, nationality tanzania and the last thing i expected to see is the use of kiswahili in their ost. i understand that to some their use of different language in OST is not new to genshin but to a pure african this is very shocking since very very very few game media much less "gachas" will include this language. props up to genshin. I knew Genshin would never disappoint just because some people kept having an echo chamber of complaints. This game is amazing and it only gets better and better every year. Also for all the people that say Wuwa is the reason for this, the games aren't even comparable. Genshin is of higher quality in every aspect and people only flocked to Wuwa because they wanted a new flavor of the month and Wuwa appeals to hardcore combat enjoyers.

The sadness I feel when people mention they didn't bother doing Sumeru world quests... Sorush's quest has some genuinely cool Khaenri'ah, Cataclysm and Dain lore... plus completing it makes that part of the desert look SO COOL

Xbalanque died from a rigged competition with God of Death himself and Hunahpu is looking for a way to ressurect them (they foresaw this and have a plan). And the fact that the real diety Mahuika have a sister who is a God of Death and there's a theory that Mavuika isn't the current Pyro Archon... it's connecting. And every Harbinger introduced in the Archon Quest (minus Liyue) have been related to their respective nations. Signora - Mondstadt Scaramouche - Inazuma Dottore - Sumeru Arlecchino - Technically Khaen'rian but she's lived and grown up in Fontaine so there's a high chance that Capitano might be Natlanian and have a history to settle. Just the quote "I don't think this is related to Tsaritsa" by Mavuika should mean something
I might still have reservations about Genshin's character design choices for Natlan but by god did they serve in almost every other area with this patch. The music was by far my favorite part of this entire livestream!
I just hope the combat climax during the story quests have the vocal version of the battle music. It hits SO GOOD and would be PERFECT for a cinematic boss fight!
It really is great they're adjusting battle pass stuff. It's also great they finally added the battle pass purchase to the top up center. I can finally buy it again after swapping from psn to pc
I just realised the most needed gadget in Genshin is a device that can put an enemy in stasis so you can listen to the battle OST without interruption.
Before 5.0 Special: Natlan is a Nation of War and flames, even Capitano decided to throw in his hat into this fight. After 5.0 Special: Our tribe is an awesome vacation spot. ❤
Wait, what if the reason why the statues in Natlan are so weird is because Mahuika doesn't have the Gnosis, but Benny has it without knowing it. It would explain his extreme bad luck, and he is suspected to hail from Natlan. This could also be a segway for the Captain to go to Mondstadt after Natlan and for Varka to finally make an appearance there as well, protecting Benny from the Captain. Just my wild speculations.

After completing 5.0 quests you have a whole month to finish previous archon quests

There is a world where they update the dialogues to match the chronology of player's journey - they kinda did this before, like with Lantern Rite getting you to Chenyu Vale without visiting the unlocked waypoint first
i''m so hyped for this major update! although I wasn't too stressed about some of the quality of life updates stuff since i play to game casually, but i'm really glad that the dev team actually listens and keeps coming up with good changes based on the feedbacks from the players. (especially option to choose specific artifact's main and sub stats, and feature that tracks the ascension materials) Also one of the major reasons for me to get into this game is because how the games is so beautiful and shares the various cultural representations (also for the lore).

This was such an amazing livestream! One thing that was particularly neat was this ended at about 2 am my time. Then, roughly 8 hours later, I got to meet Capitano's VA at a convention!
The Language is in fact Kiswahili Im so happy they spoke the language. Living in a country where Swahili is the official language it's surprising and cool to hear it being used in Genshin. Best patch fr
according to rumors, the producer for genshin (Cai Haoyu) was changed and was moved to a new Hoyo project hence the new changes in Genshin 5.0 onwards. Just rumors so take it with a grain of salt

I'm an African, nationality tanzania and the last thing i expected to see is the use of kiswahili in their ost. i understand that to some their use of different language in OST is not new to genshin but to a pure african this is very shocking since very very very few game media much less "gachas" will include this language. props up to genshin. (Hata hivyo, sasa ninaelewa kwa nini suala la kubadilisha rangi lilikuwa tatizo kubwa kwa sababu lugha iliyotumiwa haiwakilishi kabisa wahusika wa Natlan, pamoja na Archon wao.)

I knew Genshin would never disappoint just because some people kept having an echo chamber of complaints. This game is amazing and it only gets better and better every year.
Also for all the people that say Wuwa is the reason for this, the games aren't even comparable. Genshin is of higher quality in every aspect and people only flocked to Wuwa because they wanted a new flavor of the month and Wuwa appeals to hardcore combat enjoyers.
Wuwa is fell off after their disaster launch. Look at their revenue & popularity now. Its hard for wuwa to make a comeback

but tl;dr Ashkai theorized that Capitano might be Hunahpu, Xbalanque's brother. Xbalanque died from a rigged competition with God of Death himself and Hunahpu is looking for a way to ressurect them (they foresaw this and have a plan).
And the fact that the real diety Mahuika have a sister who is a God of Death and there's a theory that Mavuika isn't the current Pyro Archon... it's connecting.
And every Harbinger introduced in the Archon Quest (minus Liyue) have been related to their respective nations.

I might still have reservations about Genshin's character design choices for Natlan but by god did they serve in almost every other area with this patch. The music was by far my favorite part of this entire livestream!

I just realised the most needed gadget in Genshin is a device that can put an enemy in stasis so you can listen to the battle OST without interruption.

Wait, what if the reason why the statues in Natlan are so weird is because Mahuika doesn't have the Gnosis, but Benny has it without knowing it. It would explain his extreme bad luck, and he is suspected to hail from Natlan. This could also be a segway for the Captain to go to Mondstadt after Natlan and for Varka to finally make an appearance there as well, protecting Benny from the Captain.

i''m so hyped for this major update! although I wasn't too stressed about some of the quality of life updates stuff since i play to game casually, but i'm really glad that the dev team actually listens and keeps coming up with good changes based on the feedbacks from the players. (especially option to choose specific artifact's main and sub stats, and feature that tracks the ascension materials)
Also one of the major reasons for me to get into this game is because how the games is so beautiful and shares the various cultural representations (also for the lore).

according to rumors, the producer for genshin (Cai Haoyu) was changed and was moved to a new Hoyo project hence the new changes in Genshin 5.0 onwards. Just rumors so take it with a grain of salt
